Xunrak: *Sleeping on his front in his crib* -.-
Adinas: *Glances from side to side as he creeps down the hall. He pauses a moment to ensure no one is watching him before he opens the door to creep inside.

Xunrak: Hnnn.......*Sniffles in his sleep and moves his thumb up into his mouth*

Adinas: The room sounded so quiet, but he could hear the soft snuffling sounds of the little one. Carefully Adinas creeped over to the crib and edged his nose over the top bar. His black eyes watched the small one sleeping.

Xunrak: *Scrunches up his face and lets out a sob, followed by a hiccup* DX

Adinas: The sound of that sob made Adinas's face twitch downwards. Instinctively he reached down to gently rub the babies back. "Shhh..."

Xunrak: Shivers at the touch, then pulls his thumb out of his mouth to reach out and rub his eye. He yawns and opens an eye sleepily. "A....."

Adinas: His lips twitched upwards slightly as his brother opened his eye. He continued to to gently stroke his little brothers back. "Shhh."

Xunrak: Still not entirely sure who was rubbing his back, he sticks his thumb in his mouth and lays there quiet, with his eyes wide open. Young as he was, he already knew the consequences of making any unwanted sounds.

Adinas: He watched his little brother for a few moments. He was so small...so quiet. Adinas glanced about the room before carefully reaching in to pick the baby up from the crib.

Xunrak: He blinks in surprise as he feels himself being picked up. Not daring to squirm, he holds himself rigid in fear, not knowing whether or not a smack or a jab was coming.
Adinas: The stiffness of the baby made his lips turn downwards. It was like he was dead... Adinas turned him about so he could hold him against his chest. With one arm holding him firm, he tugged the blanket from the crib and began to touch it gently around his brother.

Xunrak: Not feeling any pain, he opened his eyes and looked up at the owner of the arms holding him. Seeing the familiar eyes and noting the absence of blood smell, he knew who this was. Smiling, he flapped one arm before it could be tucked away in the blanket. "Ada!"

Adinas: His lips flickered faintly upwards as the baby looked up and responded with a bit of life. That was better. Carefully he cradled his brother while walking to the wall. "Shhhh." He gently hushed the baby again.

Xunrak: He blinked at the hushed sound and immediately stuck his thumb back into his mouth. Even if it came from his brother, whom he loved more than anyone else in his short life and constricted world, the hush sound was always important and should be obeyed no matter what.

Adinas: With Xunrak settling down and being quiet, Adinas felt secure enough to crawl up the wall and into a corner overlooking the crib. From up here, he could watch the room..and make certain of..well...that nothing snuck in to hurt the little baby. Adinas nested himself in the corner and began to gently rock Xunrak slowly.

Xunrak: Being able to see that his brother was taking him up high, Xunrak moved his arms around a bit in the blanket in an unconscious effort to cling to his brother and keep from falling. He soon relaxed when it became clear that Adin wouldn't let him fall, and snuggled deeper into the blankets as he felt himself being rocked.
Adinas: His own eyes closed a bit as he gently rocked Xunrak back and forth. Here he was safe. If there was one thing he had learned from all his spying, it was that babies made easy assassination targets...and he just didn't want that to happen to his brother. Adinas looked down at his brothers black topped head, then leaned down to give him a small kiss.
Xunrak: He blinked as he felt the small, warm touch of his brother's lips on his forehead, and he smiled around his thumb at his big brother. Adin was the only one who ever kissed him; his mother didn't even pay attention when he foolishly cried, and he was sure that his father would kick him if he wasn't so afraid of doing irreparable damage to his son's frail body.
Adinas: The way that Xunrak smiled around his thumb made Adinas feel warm all over. His other hand shifted so he could gently wiggle the tip against the little ones nose. "I got you." He whispered softly.
Xunrak: His smile turned into a tiny giggle as he pulled a chubby arm free to wrap tiny fingers around Adin's larger finger. "Ada......gatoo....."
Adinas: Seeing Xunrak take his finger, he wiggled it gently in the weak grip. "Yes. You got me now." He continued to whisper. Adin resumed rocking Xunrak back and forth in his arm. "I'm here to make you safe."
Xunrak: He listened with a smile at the quiet words of his brother. They radiated safety and warmth, his only source of such feelings in his life, and he loved them. He looked up suddenly, head tilted. Safe.....he knew that word, what it meant.....and what it didn't. His eyes widened fearfully as he spoke as quietly as he was able. "Dada?"
Adinas: The strange reaction confused Adinas a little. Seeing that relaxed face go to one of fear made no sense. "D...dada?" Adinas repeated with his head tilting. He looked at the dark bangs covering his fave,a s he utterly mistook the boy's meaning. "N-no. I'm not your dada."
Xunrak: Not liking his own fear being mirrored in his brother, Xunrak turned his head to look downward at the floor below, and his crib. "Dada down?" He waved his hand down at the ground, hoping that he wouldn't see his father appear like magic and demand that Adin bring him down.
Adinas: "Oh...Oh. No." He whispered to his brother as he found himself reconsidering what his little brother meant. "No. Father is not down there. No one is there." Or so he thought. Someone could have been there, but he did not want to take the chance of them hurting Xunrak.
Xunrak: The shake of his brother's head was all he needed to put his mind at ease. Smiling, he squirmed closer to Adin until his head was resting on his brother's chest. "A.....din."
Adinas: Upon hearing his brother speak his name, Adinas felt such a warmth in his chest. It was so odd! It was so warm it was making his eyes leak tears. Perhaps the heat was making his bodies blood and water boil or something? Adinas clutched his brother tightly to his chest and wiped his tears off on his blanket. "My brother." He murmured softly. Somehow...there seemed to be nothing more important in all his short life then keeping his little brother safe.
Xunrak: Slowly closing his eyes, Xunrak smiled as he felt his brother pull him even closer. He blinked his eyes open as he saw his brother wipe on his blanket, looking up at Adin curiously. "B...broder? Cry?"
Adinas: His lips pulled upwards into a faint attempt of a smile. "It is nothing Xunrak. You just sleep. I will make you safe all night. I promise." He vowed softly to his little brother. This had to be why Lloth had sent him back, he could not think of anything that he wanted more then to hold his brother and keep him close.
Xunrak: Taken in by his brother's small smile, Xunrak smiled and closed his eyes again, enjoying the warmth and safe feeling that came from knowing his brother was here, the only one he can remember in his short life who had never caused him hurt or made him cry. And now his brother wanted him to sleep. "Yes......Adin." Nodding sleepily, Xunrak's hand wiggled out of the blanket and thumb in mouth, the little one drifted off to sleep.
Adinas: He continued to rock his little brother back and forth slowly. His black eyes stayed fixed on that small face. He did worry about what his mother would think if she saw him as he was right now. Everything he had learned from watching told him this was wrong. He should have left his little brother alone...he could be hurting him.But he couldn't resist his desires. he...he loved him?
Xunrak: Blissfully unaware of his brother's torn feelings, Xunrak let himself drift peacefully into slumber, knowing with a little child's reassurance that Adin would keep him safe and sound from his mother and father.
Adinas: Xunrak was asleep, of that he was sure. His little brother had relaxed and was breathing that gentle relaxed breathing of unconsciousness. He leaned down to gently kiss his brother's forehead again. He would do his best to keep the little one safe for as long as he could...hopefully his brother would learn that he could trust him..then they would have each other... Adinas felt his lips pull upwards slightly into a pleased grin as he nuzzled down to sleep with his brother.
