A delicate balance was held suspended in the air with an anvil dangling from the part above my head. It was so fragile, that even the slightest twitch could cause havoc. As I watched his pitch black body, accented ever so slightly by the soft glow of fireflies, move towards me, I held my breath in for as long as I could before a soft tremor of shaky air escaped me. His white and bloodied teeth dripped and dabbled across the grassy path that he gingerly moved across. His eyes were brighter than the fireflies, and had an incomprehensible emotion, most likely anger and fear, though. His eyes were almost believable to be pure gold, like the gold that was shaped from the gates of Heaven. An entire short-story, or even a novel could be written to try and describe the eyes that beamed like miniature lasers and sliced into my nervous system like razors, leaving me incapacitated. He moved closer to the tree that I sat at until I could see his entire form. He was a gargantuan black panther, with muscles that looked like they could push mountains, or slice them in pieces. Slowly, he crept towards me, and I could feel the hot breath from his maw leaking across my neck, making the humid heat even stronger. Finally I saw the emotions in his eyes, and it was, indeed, sorrow. They almost said, "I'm sorry, but I have to kill you." It was like getting a kiss from a serial killer, very strange and confusing. Slowly he grasped my neck with his jaw. His tongue almost provided a soft padding from the large teeth that he bore. Then, his eyes closed, almost crying out, "forgive me."

The feeling of the room tensed.
Then.
Silence.

....

I had killed him.

Like a professional ballet recital, the miles after miles of grass danced so freely in the cool streams of air. The wind wrapped it's blankets around the animals, the trees and skipped across the lakes. It was a perfect picture of true nature at it's finest. It created a beautiful scene with the near-fallen sun, and the august leaves that gracefully swept across the ground, and then decorated the green grass with a crisp red-brown color. The animals roamed the fields and drank from the clearest, freshest water. Almost like school children, they played together, and they were even kind to the neighboring species too. Fish swam through the streams of the river and were snatched up by the mighty bears, tiger and other animals. Their jaws were quick to snatch the largest meal to satisfy their voids of a stomachs. Eagles and hawks piloted across the sky, and blazed past the dramatically-slow setting sun. The animals return to their homes as the sun fell from the calm sky, and blankets the surrounding area orange, then fades into the blue. Slowly, the countdown for the vanishing sun starts.

I blazed down the street in my squad car, trying to capture the man who would be convicted of several crimes. I rammed my car into the side of his and threw him on to the side of the tall skyscraper, then got out to pursue him. Quickly, he leaped out and faced me and drew his saber from his wet jacket and smiled at me with his scurvy ridden teeth. He slashed a small rope, and launched himself to the top of the sail; I followed posthaste. Our swords clashed for a minute until I had knock him to the bottom once more. I flung myself downwards to the deck and found him staring at me angrily. He darted into the night sky, and leaped through the trees. He was a ghost, and only my keen senses could tell me otherwise. I heard a small rustle in the trees, and I began to toss four shurikens that were pinched between my fingers. The struck the tree with a dull thunk and the rustling noise came back. I stayed quiet and listened; the hand on my katana was ready to follow through with my justice. In a flash, he darted beside me. I quickly locked swords with his and jumped backwards before darting towards him. Almost like gamma rays, we were fast. I did my best to defeat him and watched as his sword started flying upward after about ten hits to the end, and then fly high into the air. I grabbed the rope from my belt, and hogtied him down on the ground. I summoned my horse with a long whistle, and she came running to my side. I brushed her mane and did the usual, 'good girl, good girl,' thing before placing the felon on her back and took him to the prison. We rode there, and I tipped my hat to the sheriff; he already knew why I was there. They locked the man up in the cell, and he swore to me that he would find and kill me-
Blah. Blah. Blah.
So up into the sky I soared, my chest puffed out and emblazoned with my symbol. I launched down into my hideout, and there I sat and relaxed.
As I sat and relaxed, I knew it all had to come to an end.

Later, I destroyed myself.

An eerie fog coated my eyes as I crept up from my bedside. I wiped it away to look at the small Powerpuff Girls alarm clock. I smacked the button to shut it off. There was no sense in using the snooze button, my mother always woke up at the same time and shook my arm to death when I didn't start moving. I quickly assembled a nice green t-shirt that was decorated with hearts, and a tight pair of jeans. I grabbed my large, pink snow jacket too. I had a nice buffet of two waffles and syrup; I had even gone the extra mile to add some butter. As I ate, I my head tilted to the east and out of the window. I wasn't looking outside, but rather thinking about something. It didn't really matter. I finished eating a discarded my plate, then I had to wash the sticky syrup from my hands. I grabbed my 'My Little Pony,' backpack and headed out towards our car. "Good morning, hun!" My mom cried from the door frame into the garage. "Ready to go to school little girl?" I responded as enthusiastic as I could, yet I still managed to sound apathetic. We drove into the school parking lot, and the usual routine began.
Math. Science. Reading/Writing. Geography.
For being only in the second grade, these classes weren't very hard. Everyone else always insisted that it was. After our science class was over, we had recess time. I didn't really do much. I sat around on the foot long, black barrier that kept the mulch in the playground. I remembered all of the past three nights and how scary, beautiful and adventurous they were. My teacher startled me when she appeared right next to me, "is something wrong dear?" She asked.
"I just feel a little strange." I responded.
"Why is that?"
"Because for the every night I've ever slept-

"I destroyed those worlds."
