The thrift store near her house was one of her favorite places to go that wasn't inside. It was easy to find nifty things to add to her repertoire of clothing and accessories on her measly allowance. It was especially nice when they had some cheap bandaging on stock, and she needed it. It took a lot to keep her tail neatly wrapped up, and honestly she thought the wrappings gave her character. She didn't need to eat anyway, so what was the harm in covering her mouth up? People could hear her with them on.

The bell above the door rang out as she entered, tail twitching ever so slightly in the joy that this place brought her.

"Hey Luc!" one fellow from behind the register called as he looked up from his magazine. She nodded at him and meandered over to the necktie section. She was wearing the green one right now for her green outfit, but her blue outfit still needed...something. Neckties were classy, so she was going to see if they had a nice plain one. Obnoxious patterns made her sick to her stomach after all. Maybe after this she'd look to see if there were any interesting books on sale, maybe some drawing books for her sister or her Aunt.

One aisle over from Lucina, Damien was busy debating a very serious issue: the cuteness of stuffed rabbits versus stuffed puppies. The young boy's expression looked like it was carved out of stone, and several people passing by burst into fits of silent giggles at the severity of his glare. That all flew far over his head, however; it was crucial to Damien that he pick the absolutely correct one. It was a make-up present to his little boy after all, for leaving him with Cat so often. Even if there was nothing he could do, the way that he always ran to him with tears in his eyes broke his heart. God, if only he was so malleable...

Speaking of Dayo, where was he? Damien looked up suddenly, earwings twitching nervously as they distinctly heard not the sound of Dayo blabbering at him and asking a thousand questions at once. "Dayo?" He walked up and down the aisle with increased panic. Creepy people hung out in thrift stores, he should know, he was forced to be there all the time! "Dayo?!" His pace quickened to a run now, darting around the other customers of the store in a frantic attempt to locate that adorable peach-haired duckling of his. He swore to God, if he found anyone hurting him...

"HI!" Dayo squawked, staring wide-eyed up at this newly-found person. If he had to guess, he would say it was a boy, but, then again, considering his lengthening braid, pink skirt, and otherwise feminine clothing, most people would probably think that he was a girl. At the sight of the wrappings on the other, however, he gasped in surprise, both hands lifting to cover his mouth as both his feathered tail and his wings stretched out to add to his surprise. "Omigosh, how can you BREATHE?!"

"Dayo!!" Damien darted around the corner, flailing rather comically to stop from running into a coat rack. His face was split with a smile of relief when he saw that his little boy was alright, and he darted forward, placing a protective hand on his shoulder. "Don't just run away like that again, it's terrifying." With that done, he looked up at the person his boy had been talking to with an awkward smile on his face. "H-hi. Uh, sorry if he was bothering you. He's little, he doesn't know any better."

While Lucina was one to get annoyed rather easy, questions never seemed to bother her, at long as the same person did not repeat them over and over. She herself was a rather inquisitive toddler, so when the ever asked breathing question poured out of her...his...it's mouth, she just chuckled lightly.

"They aren't tight, and they have very small holes to let air pass through." She took in an audible deep breath in demonstration to prove this fact before the child's guardian came sprawling towards them.

"Oh no, it's no bother. One cannot learn if one does not ask questions," she stated in a matter of fact tone, her tail wrapping around one of her legs so she didn't accidentally knock over the small child on accident with a twitch. So the small child was a he, but Lucina really wasn't one to talk. She was more often then not confused for a male, and truth be told she sort of liked that feeling of slight trickery.

"I was like that when I was smaller anyway. I remember how it was when the world was new and everything needed to be explained."
