It was a nice spring morning when Sabra took her two youngest ‘daughters’ out to play. With her she carried a picnic basket, an old quilt, and a thick book with an ancient looking cover. “Mmm. It’s a beautiful day.” The young woman commented as she spread out the quilt under a wide oak tree. Lying down she stretched and reached for the book. While the girls played she could enjoy the moment to read in peace – something she could rarely do in the active household that she lived with.
But while Aile went to soak in the sunlight, Avani found herself reaching for Sabra. “Whatcha readin?” She asked climbing over Sabra’s legs to peek in at the open book. Oooh! It was pretty with cool letters and old sketches of pictures – immediately she immersed herself in the procsess of trying to read the text.
“Avani.” Sabra shifted so she could both support the toddler and read the book, “Didn’t you want to play?”
“Yeah.” The toddler sighed, “But this looks nice.”
“Hmm.” Sabra paused before laughing softly, “Alright then. I’ll read you a story from here and then you can go play.”
“Reawwy?”
“Really.”
“Kay!” Snuggling against her guardian, Avani listened with rapt interest to one of the many fairy tales found in the book. There was a princess and a knight and the knight always saved the princess…it sounded fun. She always loved adventures and this was even better because it had scary beasts and magic and magic! Blinking she realized something. She was a girl and Aile always protected her….could Aile be her knight? “I’m gonna go find Aile!” She jumped up and left her guardian to search the park.
Now the question was – Where was Aile?

Laixi loved to take Chusi to the park. She seemed to come out of her shell here, what with the gorgeous surroundings and so many other kids here. He really needed this, too; what a better way to spend his day off work then spending it at the park while his favorite little cutie socialized.
Chusi held tightly to Laixi's side as they made their way to a park bench at her favorite park. All the spring flowers had finally bloomed, decorating the bright green grass bellow them. Oh, all the flower crowns and flower necklaces she could make!!! "Fower pwincess!!" She triumphantly shouted.
Laixi pealed her off his side and set her down. "Sure, you can go get some flowers, little princess."
"Fower fower fower!" Chusi giggled and wobbled off to search for the perfect patch of flowers. Chusi's second favorite aura in the whole wide world was the aura of flowers. The silky feel of the pedals was the best in the world...well, aside from Daddy and Li Li's hugs.
Laixi smiled as he watched his best friend's daughter go off on her adventure. He loved how open she was becoming. As he laid back on the bench he closed his eyes, wistfully dreaming of Basil...

Mmm. It was so nice out today. Aile yawned as she stretched across the bench. Secretly she wouldn't have minded napping next to Sabra, but once again her guardian had avoided the sun to sleep under the tree's shade. Ugh shade. Aile actually smiled up at the sun. It was the sole thing that never disappointed her. Unlike those clouds she threatened to punch if they kept getting in the way of her light.
Ah. The light was back again. Stretching lazily across the bench Aile positioned herself so all the gems on her body could soak up the energizing rays. Mmm. No feeling in the world could beat this.
Avani, however, was looking through the bushes for her sister. "Aile! Aile!" She called out with a whistle. Where was she? The toddler sighed before noticing a patch of flowers. Those were pretty. Didn't princesses always have some flowers? Maybe she should pick some...but she didn't like picking flowers sometimes.
Avani smiled. It wouldn't hurt to at least look at them since she couldn't find Aile yet. With that decision the toddler started to playfully dance her way over towards them.

Chusi found a patch of flowers near a row of bushes that was JUST right! She plopped down on the grass and yawned. Boy, just walking made her tired. Her eye lids felt so heavy...they slowly began to drop...but wait, what was she doing? Instantly, she perked up. OH YEAH! Flowers! Flowers to make pretty crowns and such! She felt the silk petals of one of the flowers and smiled. "Fowers!" She cheered.
As she started to make a flower chain, she felt a bright and colorful aura close by. "Pwety..." she sighed to herself, linking the ends of her flower chain into a crown and placing it on her head.

Humming to herself Avani walked through the flowers. She didn't notice the people walking about, but was rather focused on the nature around her. Even the wind was pretty today with its swirls of silver and blue. Avani smiled as she reached her fingers out to touch the faint tendrils. How pretty.
It was the wind that led her to the other girl. Avani didn't realize that she wasn't alone until she heard the girl speak. Even then it took a moment for the toddler to realize that she wasn't alone. "Oh!" Gasping Avani did a double take before smiling with a wave, "Hi!" She walked around and looked at the girl. Immediately her gaze noticed the eerily similiar eyes, "Your eyes! They differee too."

Chusi looked up and saw that the bright, colorful aura was right next to her. "Hi hi!" Chusi greeted back to the spawn. Wonderful, she thought, someone to play with! She hoped they liked flowers, too.
"Eyes?" she asked, chewing on her hand. "I see wiff colors! You're pwety!"

Avani smiled brightly at the girl. She seemed nice. Aile always got after her for talking to strangers, but this girl didn't emit anything that seemed dangerous. Plus she was like her! So Avani definitely couldn't just ignore her. Specially since she was a 'princess' on a quest now and all.
"Oh! Colows?" Avani gasped, "You canna see anything but colows?" Her own pair of glowing, pink eyes blinked in surprise. So this girl couldn't see like everyone else? Not that it was a bad thing. Rather she was awed by the fact that this girl could see auras so well like this. "I'm Avani! Who are you?" She asked quickly before thinking. Since Aile wasn't here and she shouldn't be alone..."Wanna play?"

Chusi blinked and thought for a while. Her dad did say that some people see things differently than others. He even said some people can't see anything at all. She never really thought about it before.
So she shook her head yes to the girl with the bright aura. "I see colors...sparklies...swooshy lines...um...yeah." She giggled.
"Chusi! Hi Avani!" Chusi exclaimed, clapping her hands together. She was ecstatic to meet someone new! "Play, yes!" She took the flower crown from her head and handed it up to Avani. "Sparkly people need crowns."

Avani looked at the other girl in awe, "Wow! The world mus' be a vera pretty place for you then. I sees colows, but other things to. Sabra says that colows are special things to see while everyone else sees differently. They dun see colows." She shook her head sadly. The colors were so pretty after all and felt very important to her.
"Chusi!" Avani smiled brightly, "Pretty name." She giggled, "Yes! Thank you." She blushed at the attention and patted the crown before gasping. A crown! "I is a princess now." She giggled and looked at Chusi before picking flowers. Quickly she copied the twists and made another crown, "For another princess who can see the colows." She reached over and placed the flower crown on Chusi's head, "Now we just need Aile! So she can help us save the countwy."

"No colors?" Chusi asked, chewing on her hand. Wow. Some people didn't see colors like she could? Did that mean Chusi was special? She beamed at the thought. That means Avani's special, to! It was sad that they could see colors and sparklies and other people couldn't, though...
She touched the newly placed crown on her head. "Mine? Thank you!" Though the patch of flowers was so comfy and she was super lazy today, she loved the sound of saving the country! "To Aile!" Chusi shouted triumphantly, standing up in a super hero pose with her wings stiffly spread out. "...who dat?"

"Nope." Avani shook her head sadly. It was sad to her that others couldn't see the world the same way. Didn't Sabra say something about if they just opened their eyes a bit more the whole world would be different? Not that she really understood it, but it did sound nice. To have everyone understand...
Shaking her head she looked over at Chusi with a smile, "You're welcome!" Following suite her own wings spread out as she raised her fist to the air, "Yeah!" Giggling she grabbed at Chusi's hand and gently tugged the girl after her, "She's my sista! She's strong and amaziiin'~!"

"Ohhh! Aile'll help us!" Chusi agreed, prepared to let her new friend take her to where ever she wished (to find Aile and be wherever princess' were needed). "Avani's sista!"

"Yep!" Avani laughed before tugging on Chusi's hand, "I think I know where Aile is!" With that she started to run forward with her wings fluttering out behind her. Good thing it wasn't windy else her wings might have caught the wind and sent both of them tumbling backwards.
As it was she spotted Aile soon enough.
The poor child was trying to nap in the sun. Too bad for her that Avani spotted the very bench she was curled up on. "Found her, Chusi! That's Aile!" With a grin she started forward.

It was all Chusi could do to keep up with her new friend, but it was so much fun running with her. The two finally stopped. Chusi stood by Avani, trying to catch her breathe. "That...pant...that was fun!", she gasped.
Laying on a bench trying to catch some Z's was a white haired girl with three closed eyes. So this was Avani's sister, Alie? Chusi examined her colors closely. They were similar to Brice's...kind of scary, but not so much. They were kind of peaceful right now.
Chusi sat on the ground, exhausted and watched as Avani inched forward.
