Chehero watched as Ritsa wiggled excitedly in her car seat. This was the first time she and her daughter were going to the local swimming pool for some energy release. Ritsa had never really found the weather to be hot, but Chehero on the other hand was constantly trying to find ways to cool off much to the young worms confusion. Lying in front of the Television that's when the idea hit her. One of the D-corp employee's, specifically the one who had first introduced her to Rista had once said that with pompii worm genetics it was likely she would fall in love with the water.

So Chehero had, with the help of your young toddler, gathered up towels swimsuits water wings and other necessary things for playing at the pool. Her hands grasped tightly to the wheel as she drove on, she could hear Ritsa humming an odd tune in the background, and she surmised this could only mean Ritsa was exited. Pulling a sharp corner and parking in the first available spot, Chehero turned of the engine pushing open her door to release her small child.

Exited Ritsa threw down her teddy bear she kept with her when they were traveling and jumped excitedly when her feet touched the pavement. She watched as her mother pulled out a duffel bag from the back seat beside her and quickly took the closest hand once it was free. Together they went inside and changed before heading into the large open space of water. It didn't take long for the small child to tug at Chehero's arm while pointing at the water still jumping up and down in her spot. She wanted to much to play in the water, the small tub at home wasn't big enough for her to play mermaid.

Pursing her lips at the amount of time it was taking Chehero to fill up a small plastic ring, Ritsa could no longer wait. Running forward at top speed she jumped into the water with a gleeful scream of joy. Chehero's face dropped, in fact everything in the woman's possession fell with a clatter to the floor as she raced to follow her young child into the water. Ritsa instead of going to the small kiddy pool where the water wasn't going to somehow drown the tiny girl, she had taken off into the large deep pool at the far end, without her water wings!

A little boy, with brown hair and a duck patterned innertube, had been walking around the side, looking down at the water like it was going to bite him. It looked blue! And it smelled funny! The water in the bath didn't smell like that! Or look like that! Sometimes it smelled like flowers when Mommy put bath soaps in, but never like this.

Georgia was walking along behind her son and sighing, "Duckie, you need to not be scared of it, okay? It's just a pool." she said exasperatedly.

She had been about to go on about how this was a silly fear when, very suddenly, a little girl came rushing past and jumped into the pool. Shortly after, the girl's mother dropped everything that she'd been carrying and dashed after the child.

"On second thought, stay scared of it. I don't want you doing that." Georgia said absently, deciding not to interfere since the other woman seemed to have this situation covered.

Duckie, meanwhile, ever the hero looked around frantically before spotting a pool noodle and grabbing it. He waddled over to the edge and tried to stretch it out towards the strange pinkish girly and her Mama,

"Heeeeeeeeeere, take! It's safe!"

Georgia sighed deeply and facepalmed, suddenly remembering she was wearing sunglasses as they pressed uncomfortably into the bridge of her nose.

Ritsa kicked with her feet as she reached the bottom of the pool, however it wasn't in the direction of the surface. She just spun in a circle head over feet her arms wiggling in the water like tentacles before memory kicked in and she started moving towards the nearest edge. Chehero however was swimming towards her has fast as she could, much to Ritsa's confusion and annoyance. What had she done wrong? She always buried her head when she was taking a bath, splashing around like a mermaid or a fish. Chehero had giggled at her then, why not now?

The moment seemed to freeze as Chehero raced through the water towards her drowning child. Diving below the surface to grab hold of her wiggling daughter who had moved out of her reach. Surprised at her daughters ability to hold her breath so long, popping her head back through the surface of the water to relocate her child Chehero could barely believe her eyes.

Ritsa had her head poking out of the water and was giggling at a small noodle being handed to her by another young toddler around her own age. Her hands and feet kicking at the water to stay afloat while with a stray hand she plucked the noodle and whatever may have been attached into the water with her. Though she quickly abandoned the noodle diving back under the water again.

"Eep!" Duckie squeaked as the noodle in his hands was yanked towards the water.

Georgia immediately latched onto his middle and hugged him close. "You may have a tube, sweetie but you are NOT big enough for the deep end." she told him firmly, bouncing the very frightened duck boy a bit till he calmed down.

"You two okay?" the woman asked Chehero tentatively, petting at Duckie's soft spikey hair as she did.

Chehero's eyes followed Ritsa's movements from her head to her hands up towards the small winged child, her face rather contorted in a twisted yet shocked expression. Her two year old daughter was swimming! Not just swimming but managing to hold her breath even longer than she herself could. Was that even possible? The splash of the foam noodle hitting the waters surface and a small childlike shriek pulled Chehero's focus back towards her toddler to find her happily swimming along the bottom of the pool. Her face could not become more twisted then it already was, searching for the source her eyes settled back on the winged child.

Of course! Other people came to the pool, it would be to much to expect it to be just Ritsa and herself. That didn't stop the rather surprised mother from blurting out "Did you know Ritsa could breath under water!?"

Ritsa who had been gliding along the bottom of the tiled pool playfully popped back up to splash water at Duckie with a bought of laughter. She was having so much fun, her mommy should bring her here all the time, she thought giggling as she ducked her head beneath the water again. Swimming to the end of the pool where she could touch the bottom. "You coming?"

Georgia wasn't exactly sure how to responded to the twisted faced and confused other mother, so she decided on doing the most logical thing in her head - be awkwardly sarcastic.

"Yes ma'am. Yes I did. I knew your daughter whom I have never met before or even know your relationship to, could breathe underwater. I'm psychic that way." the blonde said cheerily before deciding they were probably fine and carrying Duckie to the shallow end, where she set him down once more.

The boy, it seemed, was now a good deal more nervous and confused about this strange smelling water. Why'd this girl like it so much? Why was she so excited about it? Why did she want him to join her in it. Quickly, he grabbed onto Mommy's leg and held on tight.

"Duckie, dear just go put your feet in the water on the stairs there. Get used to it at the very least."

Chehero's face relaxed for a moment before shifting into a rather annoyed scowl. She didn't appreciate the sarcasm one bit that came from the other woman. Deciding it would be best to just ignore her Chehero turned her attention back towards her daughter. Who by now was trying to coax the boy into the water with her. Strange she thought, didn't most children like the water?

Moving around in the shallow end Ritsa became impatient with the slow progress he was making and searched around the edges of the pool for a way to pull herself up onto the edge's. "Come!" Ritsa said as she finally managed to find the stairs into the pool. "Here, this way in." She clambered out of the pool and walked towards the boy her hands outstretched. "It fun!" She was exited about finding someone to share the water with. However confused as she was about why he wouldn't share the water with her.

The other woman, it seemed, was completely unaware of Chehero's distaste and went to go set up Duckie's towel and herself on a seat near the edge so she could head over if there was trouble. Really, with how timid he was, he should be okay, but best to keep an eye out anyway.

The boy stepped into the water awkwardly and let it sift around his toes, looking at Ritsa with a face somewhere between a pout and unhappy scowl.

"It smells funny and it's bluuue," he half-whined, not really comprehending what chlorine was or that the water was clear but the bottom of the pool was blue.

Eventually he managed to settle himself into the chilly depths and stood there, clinging to the railing and wondering just what was so fun about this.

"Come, Come! Blue is good, its bad when green." Ritsa continued to insist staring at the boy who was growing stranger to her every moment. How could someone be afraid of the water, it was so harmless, see! Just to prove her point Ritsa flicked her hands out of the water sending small splashes towards the boy. "See nothing wrong with water! See!" Then giggling she rushed as fast as she could to submerse herself in the water, then poking her head above the surface to see if he had followed her in.

"Maybe you don't know how to swim?" Ritsa suggested looking around for any sort of floating device. Not that he didn't have one already but maybe it wasn't working. Her eyebrows rose when she spotted a floating noodle not far off. "That, maybe you can get to that?"
