This will contain a list of the summons in the canon, it will provide information about each summon alongside any bonuses. There will be limited numbers for each summon or specific requirements for them.

The Summoning TechniqueA Summoning Technique is a space–time ninjutsu that allows the summoner to transport animals across long distances instantly.
One method involves just hand seals and blood. With this, before an animal summoning can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species. The contract can come in the form of a scroll or a tattoo, which is signed in the contractor's own blood and once signed is valid even after the contractors death. After this, they need only perform the hand seals, offer an additional donation of blood, and use the same hand they signed the contract with to summon the creature. The amount of chakra used during the summoning determines how big the summoned creature can be. In the anime, it was shown that if a user attempts to summon an animal without first signing a contract, the user will be teleported to the home of the animal they have a natural affinity for.
An alternate form of summoning is to just use a scroll without any hand-signs. In this case hand signs are not necessary, with chakra not even being necessary sometimes. By using this method, one can summon creatures with whom one does not have a contract with.
While most summoners have only been shown capable of summoning one type of creature, Pain (through the Animal Path) has been seen summoning several different animals and even people. Pain does not provide a blood offering when performing a summon. Sasuke Uchiha has summoned snakes and hawks at different points, but unlike Pain he can apparently only summon one species at a time. The ability to perform a summoning can be removed with the Contract Seal.
When an animal is summoned it is transported from its place of residence to the summoner's location. Once summoned, the animal can perform a task or help the user in battle. The summon is not required to help the user, and may be more of a hindrance than an ally. In addition, summons are able to summon their summoner. They may also wear a forehead protector, suggesting a loyalty to only one village.

Summoning can serve as a base for other jutsu, as is the case with Summoning: Food Cart Destroyer Technique and Summoning: Quick Beheading Dance. In these cases, summonings may not be restricted to creatures, as Orochimaru shows by summoning corpses and defences.
Items can be "summoned" from scrolls. Because the items are not summoned from anywhere, instead only being released from storage, no blood is needed and thus it is not a conventional summoning. Characters have on occasion been shown summoning weapons such as kunai and giant shuriken, sometimes without hand-signs

Monkey Summoning Jima Click for visual!This monkey's movements are hardest to predict for the simple fact that his always drunk, No matter what. This can be a tiresome act as he is disobedient, cruel, sometimes ineffecient. However he excels in hand to hand combat and his movements can not be predicted at all, if on the wrong side of this guy he can totally demolish anything in his way. It's quite scary to see him in action another problem of his is that he often stops mid fight or training to drink more. He has a small scroll straped to his back, containing more sake. He has a fear of his sister Emiko, Matsuya's "mother". Isamu Click for visual!The weapons master of the Monkeys. He is a master of melee and is skilled enough to use up to a tanto for melee combat. He, like many of the other monkeys, is merciless when it comes to combat, and will kill if need be. He can also do a few Katon Jutsu, furthering his ferocity.

- Katon Housenka no Jutsu (Fire Release: Mythical Fire Flower Technique)
Description: A jutsu that sends multiple blasts of fire from the mouth, usually with one target in mind. Shurikens can also be hidden inside the flames, creating an element of surprise
- Katon: Houka Hira no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flaming Palm Technique)
Description: A more advanced version of the Katon: Tanebi no Jutsu, this jutsu allows the user to hold the make spark in their hand. They then amplify it with their chakra until it is a small flame. By mimicking the gentle fist style, the push the flame into their opponent, causing clothes to light, or minor burns on the body. Menma Click for visual!This is Enma's 1st born kid, quite skilled at most all of the arts he is best in combination with his brother. One of his greater abilities is that he can summon more monkeys to his bidding. He has become a skilled fighter with a bow staff, this staff can change its length but not width, he obtained it to help him handle when his father Enma turns into the free forming diamond pole. He also has the ability to use 2 doton jutsu.
Doton • Tsuchi Gunjikoudou no Jutsu (Earth Release: Earth Military Movement Technique), and Ninpou: Meisaigakure no Jutsu (camouflage concealment).
These abilities make him a trustworthy companion in any situation. most chuunin will have trouble handling him. Shenma Click for visual! Enma's 2nd born son is just as skilled in the useage of a bow staff but style involves more flips and ariel attacks. He often uses his tail to handle his weapon. his staff can change width but not length to help him handle when his father enma turns into the free forming diamond pole. He works well with his brother creating a flurry of bow staffs that is quite frightening. Being unable to summon any other creatures or perform jutsus does not make him any less powerful, he has tattoo's on his arms to summon kunai and shuriken and a tattoo on his back to summon giant windmill shuriken. One of the most dangerous styles of his is when he places shuriken and giant windmill shuriken around his staff and uses them to increase the damage of his bow staff. Most chuuinin will have trouble handling him. Enma Click for visual! Enma is the monkey king and is able to transform into a large length-altering staff. He was summoned by Sarutobi during the invasion of Konoha in the epic battle between him and his former student, Orochimaru. Enma is the strongest of the Monkey Summons and probably the smartest. Jounin and Anbu have a lot of trouble handling him, and Sannin/kage must stay very alert when Enma is summoned or else they may suffer a horrific death.

Transformation: Adamantine Staff
This jutsu allows Enma to transform into a large, extendable staff that is as hard as adamantine yet as sharp as a sword. This staff can easily break through Hashirama Senju's Wood Release Secret Technique: Birth of Dense Woodland when Hiruzen Sarutobi himself had expressed awe of the jutsu and tried his best to avoid it.

While in the form of the staff, Enma duplicates himself into a large quantity of staffs and forms a cage with them to protect Hiruzen Sarutobi (or possibly imprison an opponent). This jutsu was strong enough to defend even against Hashirama Senju's techniques.

Toad Summoning Gama

Gama is a mid-level toad that first appears when Jiraiya is introduced. It is first summoned to tongue-whip Ebisu (because Ebisu annoyed Jiraiya) at the hot springs. Later on, it's summoned once again to give the contract scroll for the Gama family to Naruto. Its last summoning was to deflect Kisame's attack on Naruto Uzumaki. In this instance, it appears in samurai armor. Whether or not these are entirely different toads is unclear, but all look basically the same, differing only in size.
Gamabunta

Gamabunta is a grumpy and highly apathetic character. He doesn't like to take orders from anyone, unless the summoner is highly talented and earns his respect. Jiraiya, Naruto and the Fourth Hokage are three of the few people that he has allowed to ride on top of his head without question (although Jiraiya admits that he can't completely control Gamabunta, and Naruto had to struggle for Gamabunta to accept him). He uses some Japanese words that only a yakuza gangster would use, but he is portrayed as an ultimately powerful and positive force. He is fiercely protective of his kin and he hates to be underestimated by anyone, both of which take precedence over his normal apathy. Often, it is one or a combination of these two factors that entices him to fight. Overall, despite his grumpy exterior, he shows respect towards Naruto as if he were a son. He even explained to Jiraiya that he's aware of Naruto's talents and potential. He and Jiraiya seem to be good friends and, as implied in the series, drinking buddies, despite Jiraiya's admitted lack of control over Gamabunta. However, he will scold him on occasion.
Gamaken

Gamaken is a giant toad that was summoned by Jiraiya during his fight with Pein. He wields a spiked double edged weapon and what seems to be a shield. He also seems to be wearing the same robe as Gamabunta. He is constantly commenting on how stupid and weak he is.
Gamakichi

Gamakichi is one of Gamabunta's children. He was first summoned by Naruto because Naruto couldn't focus his chakra during the beginning of the battle with Gaara. However, he is intelligent enough (more so than Gamatatsu) to be aware of the situation around him and realize when it's time to flee. He was accidentally summoned again by Jiraiya while he was fighting with Orochimaru because Tsunade had secretly fed Jiraiya a chakra-disrupting potion. He was summoned again by Jiraiya for a scouting mission during the Orochimaru's Lair arc, as well as by Naruto during the Noroimusha and Sea Country arcs.
Gamatatsu

Gamatatsu is the weak, inexperienced, younger brother of Gamakichi, and another son of Gamabunta. He was summoned for the first time by Naruto while he was fighting with Orochimaru because he was unable to call on his Demon fox chakra. Gamatatsu fixates on snacks after a comment made by Gamakichi that made him think he'd get one. Gamatatsu was also summoned by Naruto during the events of the Bird Country and the Noroimusha arcs. Gamatatsu accidentally stumbled upon the black kites that the Noroimusha was using to appear as if he was floating like a ghost in the middle of the night. His overall personality is extremely dense, and he often has to be dragged away from danger by Gamakichi, who is always summoned before Gamatatsu.

During the attack on Konoha, Jiraiya summoned a giant, orange-brownish toad with two hiltless katana strapped onto its back in a crisscross manner (although it has never been seen wielding them) using a jutsu called Summoning: Food Cart Destroyer Technique. Jiraiya mentions it being a snake hunter. It also appears in a filler arc where Jiraiya, Naruto, and Sakura explore Orochimaru's former lair. It is slightly smaller than Gamabunta. Another unnamed toad is seen at the end of the Sasuke Retrieval arc when Jiraiya arrives at the hospital to talk to Naruto.
Gerotora

Gerotora is a "scroll toad", a rare species that closely guards whatever secret is written on its scroll-abdomen until his contractor dies. He resides in the body of his contractor, and is known for his excellent endurance. Gerotora guards the scroll which acts as the "key" to the Eight Trigrams Seal on Naruto Uzumaki's stomach. The key is left to Jiraiya after the death of Minato Namikaze, and Jiraiya in turn leaves it to Naruto when he dies. Gerotora voices his concern about this, pointing out that the key is being left atop the very "safe" it opens. He also does not think Naruto is ready to tamper with the seal. Jiraiya said that Minato gave him the key's jutsu design as a sign that Minato intended Naruto to complete an unknown jutsu.
Shima

Shima is the wife of Fukasaku and an elder toad from Myōbokuzan. As the heirs of the Great Toad Sage, she and her husband are revered as the Two Great Sage Toads. Together with Fukasaku, she taught Jiraiya how to use Senjutsu. Shima is known for her keen analyses of the situations and circumstances of the battles she participates in. She can quickly figure out the best plan and will turn into the control centre that will make sure that plan is executed. She also has excellent sensing skill, apparently because of her tongue, which allow her to detect and apprehend her enemy with ease. The warts on her tongue can release a highly corrosive mucus.
Fukasaku

Fukasaku is the husband of Shima and an elder toad from Myōbokuzan. As the heirs of the Great Toad Sage, he and his wife are revered as the Two Great Sage Toads. Together with Shima, he taught Jiraiya how to use Senjutsu and later he alone taught Naruto the same. He has a leading position among the toads, being called Head. In battle, Fukasaku and Shima are extremely formidable. After Shima extends a serpent-like creature from her stomach to seek out the opponent, Fukasaku can quickly strike with his tongue. Both are capable of exerting powerful gusts of wind. Also, they are highly intelligent, as they quickly determined a weakness in the way Pain used his Rinnegan.

Slug Summonings Katsuyu Click for visual!Katsuyu is the slug queen summoned by Tsunade. The name Katsuyu apparently comes from Slug in on'yomi. Compared to Gamabunta and Manda, Katsuyu is rather slow yet quite subtle. With her Slug Great Division, Katsuyu can divide herself into smaller slugs to evade attacks or to serve small scale functions and is able to quickly reform herself if need be. These smaller slugs are also able to attach themselves to injured people, allowing Tsunade to channel healing chakra through Katsuyu to the injured person. Unlike other types of clones, though, Katsuyu's divisions can share information without having to be dispelled. She can also spit acid for her Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid, which is strong enough to melt through rock with ease.

Chakra Transfer Technique - The Summoners can summon Katsuyu to transfer chakra to others (10% each post)
Slug Great Division - This is a technique that Katsuyu uses to divide herself into smaller slugs to evade attacks or to serve small scale functions; she is able to quickly reform herself if need be. Also, Katsuyu can use a more controlled version of this to release just a few small slugs from her body for various purposes. Katsuyu using this jutsu to avoid Manda's crushing strength.
Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid- This is a technique where Katsuyu spits acid, which is strong enough to melt through anything with ease. However, it is quite slow and can be dodged, as seen when Manda dodged it.

Spider Summoning Supaidas Click for visual!The Supaidas are smaller spiders that serve under the higher rank spiders. They are in swarm and can be used to investigate areas and other tight areas you otherwords wouldnt be able to see or get to. They are also used for capture and extract targets. They do this by surrounding the target and shoot out tough webs that stick and reduce mobility to where they cannot move, then they drag the target away to the destination ordered.

Steel Web Caging: This techique is basically like the command for the Spaidas to surround the target and release webs all around and over them. Once the silk touches them they grow incredibly tough and very durable, making escape very unlikely unless a fire jutsu/technique is used to break free. Tobikomi Click for visual!Tobikomi is a bigger spider that has great jumping capabilities to where it can jump from one side of a village to the center of it and then the other side of it. Its bite is poisonous and its webs are as strong as steel. One of its methods of attacking is opening its mouth and spraying a shower of poisonous darts. Its other method is jumping high into the air for one post, and reappearing by landing on the target crushing it with its weight and sting them with a poisonous stinger

Poison Art: Spray of needles: Tobikomi opens his mouth to release a large shower of poisonous needles from his mouth tp impale and poison the victim into a state of paraylsis.
Super Jump - Tobikomi crouches low for a moment and then with a ppowerful burst of strength he jumps sky high into the air. This can be used to cover great distance or make a surprise attack
Crushing Stinger - Tobikomi can use this once in air or makes the first post of leaping into the air. Upon the next post he falls onto the target with blinding speed and smashes them into the ground with the force of a wrecking ball. Upon impact he slams his stinger into them to impale them either killing them or poisoning them. If this makes contact all together chances are the target would die. Kyodaigumo
Only available to Curse Seal of Tempest host Click for visual!Kyodaigumo is a giant spider and the personal summon of Kidomaru. Once summoned, Kyodigumo can quickly release an egg sac full of baby spiders roughly the size of a small dog. To perform Rain of Spiders, Kidomaru then cuts open the sac, causing the rapidly hatched spiders to rain down on his opponent. The spiders will spin a strand of webbing as they fall, circling the opponent in webbing and sticking them to the ground. Kyodaigumo can also explode into webbing if hit.

Spider Web Unrolling - This jutsu was used by Kidomaru in order to trap Naruto Uzumaki and his shadow clones in a giant web. Kidomaru spews a ball of spider web and unrolls it to a giant web.
Spiral Spider Web - This jutsu was used by Kidomaru in order to trap Naruto Uzumaki and his shadow clones in a giant web. This jutsu was foiled however because only Naruto's shadow clones were caught. This jutsu was also first used to stop the three ANBU Black Ops trying to catch them.

Dog Summoning Dog Pack Click for visual!This is a pack of about 7 dogs summoned by Kakashi during the Zabuza saga and again during the Sasuke chase. These dogs help Kakashi fight by holding down the enemy to give him a clear shot. They also help Kakashi track people down. Each dog wields a cape with Japanese letters that forms a facial expression.

Pakkun - Pakkun is one of the smallest dogs of the pack, but is the only one capable of speech. He excels in tracking and pursuing the targets. He cannot do much other than that.
Jackun and Cajkun [dogs six and seven] - These two dogs always watch the rear of the opponent working as a pair these dogs hold up the defensive areas of their summoner both being small but can take a hit. They are capable of summoning a wall of earth from behind to protect the summoner from rear attacks
Blakun [Dog5] - Blakun is the Bog Black Boxer dog of the bunch - his power is unmatched by any dog summon, but his intellect isn't great. If this dog hits the opponent will definitely know about it. He, when summoned alone, carries a huge fuma windmill shuriken.
Nakun [Dog4] - Nakun, the more vocal dog of the Group, has a Grey coat and bandaged Neck, which shows age and experience. This Dog is a Master Healer, or at least a master in Dog terms. He is able to howl and create a light around his palm which can extract poisons from any body.

Bird Summoning Mechanical Bird Click for visual!This mechanical bird belonged to elder Sand kunoichi Chiyo. After winding it up, Chiyo can have the bird transport data back to Hidden Sand. Gennou's Giant Bird Click for visual!This giant bird is the personal summon of Hidden Heat Haze ninja Gennou. Since Heat Haze was destroyed in the past and Gennou was its last ninja, it is unknown if anyone else will be able to summon the bird.

Shark Summoning Piranha Schools Click for visual!A swarm of tiny, vicious piranha summoned by the mysterious ninja Ruiga, they appear when he first uses his Suiton Seibun Houfutsu (Water Cannon Replica) technique to capture his opponent in a large mass of water drawn from the ground. The piranha go into the water mass to rip his victim apart. Ruiga can also move the water masses with the piranha inside to allow the deadly fish to chase down other prey. Ruiga's SharkClick for visual!This is a large, man-eating Great White Shark summoned by the mysterious ninja Ruiga. He first uses his Suiton Seibun Seibun Houfutsu (Water Cannon Replica) technique to create a large mass of water drawn from the ground, then he summons the shark inside the water mass so he can move the water mass and allow the shark to chase down its prey. While sharks are usually salt-water creatures, this one can apparently breath freshwater as well because it is able to survive in the water mass created from freshwater drawn from the ground. Gogyou Click for visual!Gogyou is one of the fastest sharks among the shark summonings. He uses his speed for quick attacks and rams into the foe from either the backside or the chest to knock the foe out of breath and stunning them for a post. His teeth are not that sharp which is why he relies on head bashing at top speed.

Snake Summoning 3-Headed Snake Click for visual!This snake, like most of the snakes seen in the series is gigantic, but is has 3 heads. It was summoned during the attack on Konoha by the multiple sound/sand shinobis. It caused alot of damage and is a formidable force to reckon with, three heads making it smarter and more lethal. KyodaijaClick for visual!(Literally meaning "Giant Snakes") are giant snakes, often summoned by Orochimaru during battle. There are many different kinds of Kyodaija. For instance, the Kyodaija that was summoned during the invasion of Konoha had marks on its skin similar to the Cursed Seal of Heaven, while the ones summoned by Orochimaru in the Forest of Death had no such marks. Anko Mitarashi also summoned a blue-colored snake of similar size during the Land of the Sea filler arc to protect Naruto, Shino, and Ino from a cave-in. The four took shelter within its mouth as it broke free of the cave. Over the timeskip, Sasuke Uchiha has the snake summoning contract applied to his arm, allowing him to summon snakes in combat. Anko's Giant Snake ( Unnamed )Click for visual!Anko summoned this giant snake to destroy a cave wall and provide shelter by traveling in its mouth. It is assumed Anko signed the same summoning contract as Orochimaru to gain the ability to summon snakes like her former sensei. MandaClick for visual! Manda was very snobbish and prideful, believing himself superior to everyone. He apparently only served Orochimaru because he could not successfully defeat him, as Kabuto expresses concern that Manda would turn on them if he knew Orochimaru couldn't perform jutsu. Even in this instance, he complains about the conditions he is summoned into and demanded that he be given a hundred human sacrifices as compensation for his help. When they lost this battle, Manda threatened Orochimaru to be prepared for a punishment during their next encounter. Manda had mutual animosity for Gamabunta.
Jutsu: Snake Skin: Manda does this by once being struck by a large scale attack like Gamabunta and Jiraiya's Oil Flame Bombs he sheds his skin and burrows underground, healing him of all damage and hides him so he can make a sneak attack.
Jutsu: Intimidating Death Glare: Like the stories say, when small animals look in a snakes eyes they get paraylzed. Manda's eyes glow and once who looks in them they become paralzed in fear for a post. This works on about mostly all things unless they are bigger then him, or more fierce. An example is dragons or some of the salamanders like Harou.
