Chandelure
Sorry this is late, everyone. Busy weekend. Anyway, this week, we'll take a look at Chandelure, my favorite 5th gen pokemon.Did you know?
Chandelure has the highest Special Attack of all non-legendary Pokémon and of all Ghost-type Pokémon. He is also the only pokemon with the Fire/Ghost typing.
So, Chandelure. Pretty cool looking pokemon. Ghostly chandelier. Something I'd expect to be used to light up Moss' gym and Team Nightwalker Headquarters. Lets look at the stats to start off with:
HP: 60
Attack: 55
Defense: 90
Sp. Attack: 145
Sp Defense: 90
Speed: 80
As stated before, an amazing special attack stat. Everything else is workable, but not epic. Lets look at a few ways to take advantage of this incredible pokemon.
Shadow Tag: Chandelure's Dream World ability. This ability will keep an opponent in place. Good for trapping your opponent, then switching into something to take it out if you can't do that with Chandelure.
Fire Blast: This move is one of the best ones to use to take advantage of Chandelure's impressive Sp Attack and use STAB as well. The accuracy isn't too low, and there's no recoil. If you don't mind the recoil of your SP attack being decreased by two stages, go for Overheat instead.
Shadow Ball: Chandelure's other hard hitting STAB move. if you're lucky, it'll decrease the opponent's special defense too.
A few of the things that work against Chandelure now.
EQ: Yeah, the fire killing move. Chandelure, though its sprite hovers, does not have levitate. Earthquake does 2x damage to this guy.
Speed: Chandelure isn't the fastest guy around. Quite a few pokemon can out speed him.
Chandelure is a pretty good pokemon. I can't wait to get my hands on a good Dream World one. May look around on the GTS for a bit until I can catch my own.
