Night was fast approaching and most Harpy nestled themselves in the towering trees, as if they were some sort of castle, hiding them away from dangers on the ground. Rhea, a female without the capability of nesting up high, was left on the lonely forest flooring. She wished dearly to have those long talons and the beauty that came along with them. She wished for spectacular feathers that shifted and fluttered in the breeze. Never had she been so envious in her life. Usually she held firmly to her belief that she was the most beautiful in all the land, but that had been before stumbling upon this interesting species. "Such beauty and power..." she awed at a harpy that was getting settled in her nest not far off. "Someday... I will be like them..."
Rhea circled the trunk of a thick evergreen and found that the gnarled roots were quite welcoming, if not a bit eerie at first sight. She was still so new to this whole experience but luckily her enthusiasm for the culture was proving to be quite helpful in this situation. This sounded like the lifestyle for her, had she been born into it or not. She settled her body down between some cradling roots, thinking that this was the perfect spot, though it needed some serious tidying up. A soft bedding and some pretty trinkets and this nest would be just as gorgeous as any of the ones of in the trees above. She watched carefully as the shadows grew long and the sun set slowly, meshing them into their surroundings. Soon there were no shadows or hard light for the sun had hidden itself behind the horizon an the moon was starting to light the land, yet Rhea couldn't couldn't manage to shut her eyes for one reason or another.
