The fiery red head picked up his bass as he heard his band being called to the small stage, their equipment already prepared from moments ago. Burned Black, the teenagers of the band weren't too serious about their band getting off the ground, it was a hobby for most of the boys, but it was quite a passion for Edan. Really, the vulpix had more talent than the kids that he hung around with but he neither recognized nor cared to acknowledge it. They were playing a gig at a local rock club, the lead vocalist had arranged it. Lately they'd been playing small shows like this more often, it was a nice change of pace from practicing in living rooms lounging around and goofing off more than playing music.
He entered the stage, following behind a couple of his band-mates, his friend - the vocalist, introduced them and gave the name of the song that they were to play. It was one that Edan had written, really at least half of their songs were since most of the boys were too lazy to actually try to write something unless it simply came to them. The beat began, a kind of fast paced rock song but not too heavy. The vulpix dipped his head as he played for a moment before his gray eyes began to scan the crowd instinctively. The people were the usual types of faces, unrecognizable, until he came upon one that made him halt. His ribcage seemed to tighten as he stared at familiar icy blue eyes, he fumbled - it was barely noticeable but he knew that he'd done it. Stubbornly, he looked away, refusing to look that from that point until the end of their set.
Earlier that day, he and his friends had been talking and somehow the sableye had come up in the conversation, something about them knowing he'd met the famous rockstar. Most of his band-mates were fans of the shorter males band and were keen on meeting him but Edan denied really knowing him at all. Well, his band-mates obviously didn't believe him because they'd contacted Salem, informing him of the show that they were playing and they'd lied and said that Edan wanted them to invite him. Edan had yet to realize that his band-mates had done this. He hadn't really wanted Salem to know about his little band.
When their set was over, he exited the stage, trying his very best to avoid the people, knowing that one of them was a certain little rockstar. x

Salem just couldn't help himself. From the moment he'd received the phone call he was giddy and excited in that familiar childish way. A large part of him had wanted to see the Vulpix again. He had been more than surprised to learn that the red head was in a band. It was quite intriguing to him, and made him even more interested, perhaps they shared the same affinity for music.
So there he stood, near the front of the crowd, a tiny body in a sea of bodies. The local band played their set and he felt himself lost in the music, instinctively focused on the bass lines and rifts. For a moment, he thought Edan had spotted him, and would know that he had come because he wanted him too. He was incredibly excited to find that Edan had any interest in seeing him at all.
Once the set ended and the band exited the stage, Salem felt butterflies in his stomach. He pushed his way through the crowd and ran up to the vulpix. "Edan! Edan! Hi! I came like you wanted!" he chimed with a childlike happiness. He looked the other man over, he looked the same as Salem had remembered him from that dreamlike halloween house, and then the party after. But Salem could hardly think about rehashing those issues and situations right now.
His ice blue eyes stared at Edan, gleaming like a child's in an almost creepy way.

The red head's eyes widened just noticeably when he was halted by the sableye, being forced to look him in those pale eyes again. He quickly adjusted his gaze, tilting his head to the side just enough to avoid eye contact. "You really should stop assuming that I want you around." he said harshly, feeling that temper of his coming to a head when he heard Salem's excited voice telling him that he'd wanted him there. However, moments after moving the sableye aside to make his escape, he realized how odd what the little rockstar said was. 'I came like you wanted!', it made it sound like Edan had asked him to come.
He stopped where he was standing, just a few steps away from where he'd abandoned one most likely oblivious Salem. He knew of how mischievous his band-mates were, and he could now come to his own conclusions about what they'd done. Still, he found some way to blame the shorter male, deciding that it was his own fault for being dumb enough to believe his friends. He turned around and got close enough to Salem to be heard again. "Never listen to those idiots again." he paused, and in those brief moments of silence he came to realize that the real reason he was getting so upset was that he was embarrassed.
Salem had a band that was so impressive, and Edan liked his music but after meeting the other he couldn't stand the thought of the sableye hearing him play. He was embarrassed that the famous little Salem had come to his small show at some local club he'd probably never heard of. "Why'd you come here?" he asked without giving much thought to the question, though he probably should have.x

Salem was very confused by this point. How could Edan not want him around if he had invited him to be there? The smaller boy could feel his cheeks turn a deep red. How could he have gotten into one of these silly situations? He could feel the familiar pang for his comfort, the drugs that kept him from feeling embarrassed or strained.
Before he could think further on those craving he was slapped with a question. Why did he come here?
Well, the answer was much more simple than he'd like to admit. Yes, he had developed a bit of a crush on the angry red head. As much as the other male tried to push him away it only seemed to draw him in closer. "I...." the answer didn't come out of his mouth as easily as it did in thought, "I guess I just wanted to see you...." Salem's eyes were locked on his feet like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"I uh.....I kind of need to relax is there someplace we can go that's quieter?" he asked, putting emphasis on the word relax. He did not know if Edan had figured out by now that he was on drugs. He also didn't know if Edan did them himself, but he was more than willing to see how far the situation could go.

Edan was staring at the sableye with a loose jaw and a blank expression for a moment that seemed to last uncomfortably too long. He wasn't sure what to say, in part he'd acknowledged that Salem had some interest in him but in his head he was still playing it down. He thought that with his attitude the man would easily be pushed away and give up on any kind of relationship that he was hoping to develop with the fiery vulpix. But somehow, Salem still appeared so often in his life. He couldn't understand how the other could have imagined Edan inviting him anywhere, let alone to a show to see him play in his band.
There was this piece of him that still admired the sableye and put him on a step above himself but he still somehow found the gall to spit out some overly confident rubbish, "I thought I made it clear," he began, a frown coming over his features, "you're not going to get anywhere with me." he said harshly, letting that frown turn into a small smirk as he leaned close to the other's ear, the smirk a mimic of the expression he'd wore on that first night that they'd laid eyes on one another. "Give up." he said only loud enough that Salem alone could hear him. It was cruel to say the least but he'd take being cruel over just giving the sableye what he wanted.
But any feigning of a harsh attitude was broken when the implied question hit his ears. He wasn't oblivious and he knew what the shorter male was implying. He shot a weird look his way, something a cross between the unsure and his own temper. "Why would you ask me something like that?" he emphasized, planting a hand on his chest. His confidence was faltering, but he was still blaming Salem for any discomfort. There was a curious side of him that was game for exploration but his pride prevented any voicing of that, not to mention a part of him that wanted to reciprocate the interests the tiny rock-star had but he would never voice that. x

Salem had chills running down his spine as the other man leaned closer to him. He couldn't help it, something about Edan had him wrapped up, just waiting for the lights to turn green. And it was killing his nerves, his nerves that pushed him to his sweet addiction.
Icy blue eyes darted around when asked why he'd asked such a question. His gut was in knots. He immediately thought back to the first time he'd tried any kind of drug, pot of course, and how against it he was. How he thought it was absurd. But how it had eventually become even a light high to him, and now not even worth the money.
He locked his eyes onto Edan's and took a step closer. "Hear me out," he said softly, "Come with me to my hotel, try it, if you don't like it you can sleep it off and I'll stay out of your hair," he said, still unsure if his assumptions that Edan was clean and sober were wrong or right. "But if you do like it, then you have to acknowledge my existence!" he said the last part louder, almost giddy like a kid.
In his mind, no one could NOT like being high. It was his release and his fun time.

Edan could see the tiny rock-star squirming from the situation and at least a part of him was quite pleased to put the boy in knots though he was really trying to not care at all (he was quite failing at it). But the proposition was made again, and made much more clear this time which made the vulpix uncomfortable. Sure, he'd been offered drugs before, and it didn't really bother him if other people did them - but he'd had an easy time brushing off the offers in the past. It wasn't something that he was into and had never planned on being into. Addictions were just too much hassle and Edan's life just was not stressful enough for them to ever be all that tempting in his opinion.
"What do you mean by acknowledge your existence?" he inquired, regardless of his mentally disagreeing to the proposition. "I think I've already done that." he added with an eyebrow raised on an otherwise blank expression. It was at least amusing to see the sableye getting so worked up over it all, though he didn't really get why Salem was so confident, he also didn't get why the man was so persistent, but he was beginning to sort of..grow on him - though he'd kick himself for admitting to it.x

The purple haired rocker couldn't help but pout and cross his arms, furthering his childlike appearance. "There's more to it than that!" he said with and eye roll. The red haired man obviously loved messing with him, and Salem would fall into the trap every single time.
"You know...." he couldn't say it, if he said it the teasing would only get worse. He looked at the floor for a long moment. Then he reached out a finger and light slid it over one of Edan's hips. His hand dropped back to his side then he looked back up, "You know," he said, not trailing of this time but saying it more factually.
"I will call a cab right now if you'll just say yes," he felt like a child begging his mother for a toy. It was so strange but much less uncomfortable then he felt it should be.
[It's k, I just realized that they kind of have a Shu and Yuki thing going. xDDD Oh how long has it been since I read Gravitation? lol]

Edan wore somewhat of a smirk at the purple haired male's outburst, it pleased him at least a little to see the boy pouting, it was almost becoming too fun to mess with the little guy. "More to it?" he repeated, still wearing that curious expression on his face as the tiny rock-star continued trying to make his point. He had to scoff when a finger was ran over his hip, pulling away from the touch as Salem continued his pleading. He tilted his head back now, staring down the sableye with distrusting grayish eyes.
"You still think that you're going to get to do me?" he asked with laughter hidden in his voice. He was being quite harsh, the sableye was attractive to him, at the very least, but he wasn't going to give him a single inch. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile, surely you know the saying. He leaned closer just long enough to make a rude comment, attempting to dishearten the rock-star, "What makes you think that you are going to get me?" he asked, and at least a part of him actually wanted to hear the answer, especially the answer to the next question that he asked, "Why do you want me so bad anyway?" he asked, honest curiosity finally making itself apparent. x

Salem was finding the stress of this situation to be almost unbearable. He wanted to just blurt it all out and gush about his feelings but he was way too conscious and aware of how Edan would react and reject him. He needed to dull his feelings and logic....and it wouldn't hurt to do that same to Edan's either.
"Look, just leave here with me and you'll get your answers," he said quietly, now crossing his arms the childishness seeping away. "Maybe your curiosity will be enough to take you where I want to go," he added, knowing this was probably also not the way to approach the vulpix but he had run out of ideas and longed only for relief from his nerves and emotions.
If he could just get Edan there with him, he would be quite pleased.

Edan found himself curiously drawn to the insane notion that was being posed to him, though his pride still allotted him no space to accept the offer. He scoffed at the sableye as he attempted to convince the red-head by any means necessary, really pulling at straws by this point. There were a few harsh words and more denials on the tip of his tongue but he retracted his gaze suddenly, turning his face away, fiery hair falling in the way of his vision - though he wasn't really looking at anything in particular. He was silent for a while, not sure how long, but he could still hear the people that were around them and the band that was still on the stage. It had become to loud for him, he decided.
"I need some fresh air." he said finally, lowering his head just a bit as he spoke out to Salem without turning to face him again. He began to walk away but called over his shoulder, "You coming?" he asked, but didn't wait for an answer nor look to see if the sableye was in fact following. Instead, he just wove his way through the crowd, coming to the exit and shoving the heavy door open. The cool night air rushed upon him and seethed at it but at the same time the quiet sound of cars passing and the few lingering people that were outside had become preferable to the staggering club scene inside.
He shoved his hands into his jacket pockets, he heard the door behind him open but he didn't even turn to see if it was Salem, ignoring it as he shuddered at the cold. He was sure that he would regret this but he finally said, "Let's get out of here." almost certain that the person that had come through the door would be the tiny rock-star that was intent on dragging the vulpix home with him.

Salem was unsure of what to do when he was finally received by something other than teasing. The vulpix began to walk away, but did want him to follow! He rushed out the door behind Edan, immediately hit by a rush of cold air that made his paper thin body shiver. He wrapped his arms around his body. So fully joyous to hear that Edan was finally prepared to leave....and with him!
His eyes scanned the road until he saw a cab approaching. He jumped up and down like a child flailing his thin arms. "Pick me, pick me!" he shouted, grinning from ear to ear. The cab stopped on the street in front of them and Salem wasted no time hopping in. He was happily greeted by the cars heating system and a quiet bald cabby. "Hilton hotel please," he said then waved at Edan to get in.
