Done that a few times. Not often, though. Only if the book is AMAZINGLY good.

Dura Lex Sed Lex...

Ones who feel emotion: ALL WOMEN. [At least indicated by their avatars.]
Ones who feel no emotion: ALL MEN. [" " " " " " ".]

...The Law is Harsh, but the Law will Prevail

I feel like this opinion is skewed because at the time of this post, only one other male indicative avatar had posted to the three to five female indicative avatars.

Nope. However, if one of the characters is a smartass, I'll be one for days.

If you've read the Harry Potter series you are lying. EVERYONE cried when Dumbledore and Dobby died.

I read the last book just a few days after it came out. Totally saw Dumbledore dying (the mentor always does, Exempli Gratia: Obi-Wan) and Dobby, eh. It sucked, but I certainly didn't cry. What could I gain by lying? The adoration of a bunch of strangers I met online? Nah, I'll tell you if a book makes me cry, but so far there's only one book that has made me cry: Marley and Me.

The Legacy of Drizzt series is the only series to make me really cry... and that was when I thought Bruenor had died...

I haven't finished the series, but apparently the Ghost King's ending is depressing to an extend...

I know it's a TV show, but when that old doctor guy on the Mentalist committed suicide a few weeks ago, I cried.

Am i the only one that when you read a series of books you get really into that when someone dies you cry your eyes out for hours? Or when your reading a romance novel you feel like its you are the one gasping for air and feeling so much love? Or when something happens and you get so pissed off you throw the book and complain to no one? Is anyone else like this or is it just me?
Same here.

I recommend Tales of the Otori. Feudal Japanese Fantasy. Amazing story. Beautifully written. It's a story of love and war. The first book of the trilogy is called "across the nightingale floor". If you can get your hands on it, read it. It's my favorite work of fiction so far.
Lian Hearn is the author.
