sure sure. fair enough. name any of those still actually being practiced.

fact is. islam still practices theirs and the others do not. do you see what im getting at?

So you're saying that there is not almost 2 billion people who read the bible? And follow its passages? And there are not hundreds of thousands of cases of child abuse and murder and homocide?

Statistics say there are 2.1 billion Christians in the world. So I think it's pretty safe to say many of those child abuse cases are by people who are Christian. I know I don't need to say the stereotype about Catholic priests

child abuse...really? there is no connection between the two. even a simpleton can figure that there are ******** up parents from all walks of life. religion is unrelated to it, child abuse is just child abuse.

rarely is it ever religiously motivated unless they say something like "god told me to do it" or "the bible says so".... in which case they should be put in a mental hospital.

the only reason why islam is getting attention for ******** up antiquated practices like religiously motivated stoning, flogging, beheading, severing limbs, etc. is because ITS STILL GOING ON. and its likely not going away as most of those things are part of their system of law.

judaism and christianity put all their ******** up s**t behind them centuries ago.
until islam does the same, they will continue to receive criticism for it.

No, I disagree. There are very devout Christians who follow some very old teachings. I mean, the majority of the world is Christianity. And there is also a large difference in cultures here. "Modern" civilization and third world countries. There's about a thousand years difference.

you dont seem to get it.... people who abuse children cant be lumped into religiously motivated crimes simply because they claim to be christian, unless it can be proven that it is indeed religiously motivated. and if it can be, it's almost always a rare connection between the 2 in western society.

that's like saying christianity is violent simply because someone who claims to be christian murders for non-religous reasons. it's not difficult to understand the difference.

EVERYTHING about jihad or punishments under sharia law in general is religously motivated dismemberment, stoning and murder.
it's still going on to this day and nobody is doing s**t about most of it, in fact it's becoming the opposite, dumbasses across the globe are actually allowing the evil rule of law to spread.

No, I understand it very well. That is how stereotypes work. Some priest molests a boy, now all Catholic priests are molestors. A black person robs a bank, now all black people are robbers. A Mexican jumps the boarder, now all Mexicans are illegal. Do I need to list more stereotypes? Because that is all it is with the Muslims. Stereotypes. And if there was something so evil about it, like Communism, the U.S. would try to stop it. It's nothing like Communism and there is no threat of the extremists spreading. The only threat from the extremists are that they will blow up another tower,

Yes, Muslims do commit crimes in the name of their religion, but not all of them. Sure, there are islamic fundamentalists out there, nobody is denying that. but what you fail to understand, is that in the big picture it isn't about religion; it's about control. The reason that Al Qaeda have twisted the words of Islam and strayed away from the fundamental rule of: "Respect piece of life in the universe" - Is because they use it to control people. Their warped form of Islam is the catalyst for recruiting terrorists; The main reason that Al Qaeda want to destroy and to kill, is because they want the power.
Look at the Crusades; The Christians did exactly the same. The "Foot soldiers" fought for their home land, and for God; but the high-ups and the Pope waged war purely for power. The reason that the Taliban fight is for control and power, just like the IRA. They both use religion to recruit people on board; the Taliban using Islam and the IRA using Catholicism.

Religion is a tool, and exactly what happened in the crusades is happeing now for the Muslims. They're not all psycopathic nut-jobs (all though there are those who are), and i'm not denying that islamic fundamentalism is a problem to the world (Which it certainly is); all I'm saying is that you should criticise the people who corrupt others into being radicals and the radicals themselves, not the religion itself and the honest people who practice it.

And if you hadn't realised (Just like the bible) the Koran conflicts with itself in parts, but here, just in case you don't believe that there are 'nice' parts of the Koran, here's one for you:

"O mankind! We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know and honor each other (not that you should despise one another). Indeed the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most righteous." Chapter 49, Verse 13
