There was a list. In the back of Zak and Nigel's laboratory, there was a book, in which there was written a long and detailed list. Names, phone numbers, addresses, and private information had all been collected, Of course, what the girls had taken had simply been names and addresses, ignoring the other stuff. They hadn't wanted to be accessories to crimes, after all.
With this information, they sent out invitations, brightly colored Easter themed pieces of paper in small envelopes.
You have been invited to join us for a day of Easter fun! Egg hunting, decorating, a picnic and more, the day will be packed with fun for your special child...
The invitation went on, detailing directions to the mansion for those who had not yet been there.
They had then decorated eggs, hiding them around the mansion's grounds, taking care to stay out of the house itself. It wouldn't do to have children disturbing Zak and Nigel, they knew. They decorated the yard also, covering it with pastel coloured egg cut outs, ribbons, confetti - the whole shebang. It looked like the Cadbury bunny had thrown up all over the yard. But, it was certainly cheery.
Now, all they needed was their guests.

Mouse was already scurrying far ahead of her parents as they headed towards the mansion, the little girl already looking around at the decorations and attempting to explore as best she could on a leash. Patty thought toddler leashes were mortifying. Then she was given a toddler who would and could run away and get into things without any provocation other than there were things to get into.
Mouse at least seemed to think it was a fun toy to play with, running off and half pulling her father along. Soon as she was near enough to, the toddler was pulling on some of those cheery ribbon decorations and had put the end of one in her mouth. Oh dear.
Speaking of cheery, Zak's favorite cheery b***h was heading over as well, a little cream colored impling riding along on her shoulders. Unlike say Mouse and her parents, Mousse actually looked similar to the cherry-red haired Sherry Cherry, at least to a point, with her pink hair and pale fur.
She also seemed a good deal more calm than the other child, just looking around to see what there was at this event. When Sherry let her down, Mousse decided to start looking for people to say hello to before she started looking for eggies.

"When can we start lookin' f'r the eggs, Mom?" A small, black impling boy could be seen rocking back and forth on his heels, clearly excited for the event that was supposed to take place today. He'd been like this since his mother and aunt had told him and Faust about Easter - about the Easter Bunny bringing brightly coloured eggs for them to find around the mansion, and how there might even be some chocolate. The last part was what excited Shade the most, for he LOVED chocolate. Megg had described his fondness for the treat as 'chocoholism', but the little boy didn't really understand what it was that she meant by the term. He assumed that just meant that someone really, really liked chocolate. Megg looked up as her son posed the question, and couldn't help but chuckle slightly at him.
"We're gonna get started once everyone else gets here." she informed Shade as she moved over from where she'd been setting up a picnic table to ruffle the boy's hair. "We can't start until we have our guests - that's just not polite!" She grinned as Shade pouted, his tail flicking back and forth as he found himself being forced to wait PATIENTLY - it was not something that the little boy was very good at doing, Megg had come to realize. "Just wait a little longer, okay? Then you and Faust can have fun with all the other kids!" The brunette was glad that they'd decided to do this, really - it would be good for the kids.
It was just as she thought this that she saw a few forms making their way towards them. She recognized three of them as Mouse and her parents and she found herself smiling, glad to see that they'd been able to make it. She didn't know the other two, however - all the same, she waved to everyone, hoping that they'd come over. "Over here!" She chuckled as she saw Mouse drag her father over to some of the decorations, and Shade followed suit, giggling at the familiar impling girl.
"Hi Mouse!"

Faust was similarly excited, though for an entirely different reason. He had taken to following his mother like a green haired, pointy toothed shadow, trying to get permission for what he wanted to do. "Momma, why can't I-" He began, Fenn clutched in his hands. He'd been awarded a pair of tattered bunny ears tied around his head, and Faust was determinedly pretending that he was best friends with the Easter bunny.
"You can't because I said you can't. Now quit eying that basket. Eat nothing but chocolate, remember?" She tapped his fingers away from the large, wicker baskets they'd gotten to give to the children so they could gather the eggs.
"I don't wanna eat it." He muttered almost sulkily.
"Well, no matter what it is you want to do with it, you're not doing it. Why don't you go find Shade and play until everyone else gets here?" She suggested, patting his head and gently directing him in the direction of his 'brother. He scowled, but stalked over, brightening as he walked through the small garden to reach Shade and a turquoise little girl. And, he thought, she was little, as in REALLY little. He kind of stared at her, wondering if maybe she was an alien. She was smaller than Shade! And Shade was tiny!!
He grinned a bit, muffling a giggle and going over.
"Lookit, Shade! Someone's shmaller dan you!" He still hadn't mastered speaking around his teeth, clearly.

Mouse dropped the ribbon she'd been investigating soon as she spotted someone familiar approaching. "Lolo Shaaaaaaaaaade." she greeted, waving up to the little boy as he walked up.
Teddy chuckled at his daughter. "Well looks like you've found some friends. I think I can let you go now." he told her, unhooking the leash and going back to where he'd left Patty.
Mouse watched her father leaving curiously, before turning back to Shade. However, now there was ANOTHER kid there too! "Lolo bigger p'son." she waved at them, looking curiously up at Faust with wide eyes, because personal space was nothing to her, "You has beeeeeeeg teefs!"
The pile of little implings clustered over by some ribbons did look quite appealing, but Mousse carefully held onto Sherry's hand and pointed to the lady trying to call people over there. Grownups were nice and fun to talk to - and they gave you stuff if you were cute. Saying hi to her first was best.
Sherry snorted and rolled her eyes, following after her daughter towards where Meggie stood, which Patty and Teddy had been heading towards.
"Hey." Mousse greeted, waving at all of the big people. Sherry rolled her eyes at this and grinned at Meggie.

"Hey!" Shade pouted at his brother as Faust commented on there being someone smaller than he was here. The boy didn't like it when people pointed out how little it was - however, it did reassure him somewhat to know that he wasn't the smallest person on the planet. Perhaps there was still hope for him after all. "I'm no' tha' small!" He turned his attention back to Mouse as she toddled up however and giggled a bit when the younger impling pointed out Faust's teeth. Most people were unnerved by them, but Mouse didn't seem to be - then again, she'd helped him take apart a stove, so she was pretty cool baby. "I haven' seen you in a while!"
Megg grinned as Teddy and Patty came over and waved to them - it had been a while since she'd last seen them, and she was glad to see that they'd decided to come to the party. "Hey you two - how've you been?" Out of the corner of her eye, the brunette could see that Shade and Faust were already over with Mouse - hopefully, the three of them would start up a game of some kind. The young woman's attention was drawn towards the sound of a small 'hey', and Megg soon saw that it had come from the new, pink-haired girl, who had come over with who she assumed was the little one's mother. She chuckled a bit and propped her hands on her hips, grinning down at the little girl. "Well, hello there - and what's your name?" She was certainly adorable. She lifted her gaze back to the girl's mother after a moment and smiled. "Welcome to the party - I'm Meggie."

Faust blinked and recoiled slightly as the little one pointed out his teeth. He was a bit...sore, about it, but his Momma had told him not to let it bug him. Besides, the girl wasn't being mean like Zak usually was. So, he grinned after a moment, snapping his teeth together. "Yup I do! They's the biggesht teef here!" He should be proud of his teeth, he knew. So...yeah. He wished, however, he had that basket. His Easter bunny Fenn was not complete without a basket. But he couldn't go grab one - his momma had eyes in the back of her head, or somethin', cause she always knew when he was gonna do somethin'!
Kali knew Megg had found an adorable child when she heard the 'sugar sweet' voice that the brunette always used around other people's kids. She spoke normal to Shade, but could she manage that to anyone else? Not on her life. Turning, she peeked around at the little girl that she was talking to and couldn't help but grin. She really was adorable. Which explained the voice - but didn't make it any less annoying.
"Well well, isn't this just the most sickeningly sweet event ever held in my mansion." Came a voice from behind her. She turned, already knowing it was Zak before she saw him. "Nobody said you had to come. In fact, I don't even think we said you were invited." She said sweetly, fluttering her lashes at him. He grinned, and clapped her on the shoulder, moving past her to where Sherry, Megg, Patty and Teddy stood. "I don't need an invitation." He purred as he moved past her, slipping his hands into his pockets and pushing his coat out of the way.
"Good day, all." He said as he came up to the group, smiling at each in turn. "I see you all managed to keep your gift alive. Good job."
