★ BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Nenna’s most distinguishing features are are bright blue eyes and hair, which rounds her face and tickles her cheeks. She tends to tie a scarf as a band round her head, to keep most of her hair out the way. She’s the sort of person whose quick to smile, full of pep and enthusiasm. A bit on the short side, and shamefully poorly-endowed, she’s not much to look at, which suits her fine, since she prefers practical clothes - and sometimes an apron, like other Pokemon Breeders wear - and isn’t out to be noticed.
☆ PERSONALITY: Generally upbeat, Nenna likes to nurture Pokemon and people, always ready to propose it’s time for tea, and keeping an eye out for everyone. Gentle, warm, and insatiably curious, she’s good at raising Pokemon in their early stages, with enough patience to wait till they’re sure of themselves before letting them evolve. On the flipside, she often comes across as bossy, interfering, and over-zealous. Although fairly sharp, she sometimes overlooks what’s sensible in fits of passion, and has ended up in trouble from time-to-time because of it. Nenna sees Pokemon and people as one and the same - but people can be more frightening than Pokemon, because they are not always as straight-forward.
★ HISTORY: Nenna spent her childhood and early adolescence in Mossdeep, hearing stories from Steven Stone about his travels once he made his home on the island. Her mother was a Pokemon breeder, and her father, a researcher, was often away. It was he who sent Nenna’s mother the Mantine and Wave Incense that resulted in Nenna’s first Pokemon, a Mantyke called Gilly.
Nenna wasn’t interested in becoming a trainer at first. She followed in her mother’s footsteps, and could be trusted to exercise the Pokemon in their care, and exercise them in the mangroves and on the beaches of Mossdeep. It was only when she learned of the theories of Walking Pokemon, from her father who was studying in Johto at the time, that she set out on her travels, closer to fifteen than ten.
Beginning in Kanto, her “starter” Pokemon was a Chikorita, dubbed Chicory. More interested in meeting new people and pokemon, and in seeing new places, she took her time with the gym battles, and ended up exploring many of the other regions, as well.
Forced to take Sinister Gray and Omega seriously when the computer storage system went down shortly after she had deposited her cherished Gardevoir and Togekiss, left without a flyer, and burdened with an egg containing what she hoped was a male Ralts, Nenna kept low. While teaching herself survival skills, she began to hear rumors of the fellowship and the resistance. She decided she was determined to find them.
