Personality: Phaedre comes off as distant, hard to approach and eccentric which, considering it is a first impression, is unusually accurate. She is legendary for her anti-social behavoir. Rather than waste her time on meaningless human interactions, she devotes her life to 'fixing problems'. Phaedre loves nothing better than a good puzzle. Well, besides solving it. Interupt her while she's working and she'll snap your head off if she bothers to pay any attention to you at all.

History: Born to a three child family, Phaedre grew up in the shadow of her elder brother, a math genius, and her younger sister, a musical prodigy. All through her basic schooling (age 3-16), Phaedre recieved only average grades. When told she would be unable to countinue based on her record and would instead be trained for a mid-level job, Phaedre calmly told her counselor that, if given the chance, she could get into the school of her choice. She was given the chance (with some persuasion) and Phaedre passed the entry exam to the engineering school with full marks. Every professor she had after that day had nothing but glowing praise for their student. She graduated early (age 20), was recruited by the government, and disappeared from the world for several years. Then she reappeared at her family's home (age 24). No explanation for her disappearance or current reappearance. If asked, she would simply stare at the person until her cold gray eyes unnerved them enough to look away. A few weeks later, a message from the government arrived for her. The next day she was gone.

Anything Else: Phaedre tends to be vague on what, exactly, she did for the government. The most eloquent she has ever been was when she stated that she 'built stuff' for them. Her nickname, Axis, was from her brother who once joked that she was the center of the universe. A math joke, apparently. Somehow her classmates found out about it and it stuck all through her years of study.

Personality: With a warm easy smile and a soft voice, Ava is able to calm anyone. She has a very motherly, caring aura to her and many people trust her easily even though they barely know her.

History: As a child, she grew up in Nauticus. She was always near the sea, watching it stretch out far into a thin curve of blue. Watching the ships and airplanes sail off the horizon, she used to imagine that they were falling off the end of the world. She always wondered what the world was like elsewhere.

Not that she was sheltered, she had often heard about other places from her studies and seen people from other places in the television. But even this did not satisfy her wanderlust. She wanted to travel and see everything before she died. That was always her life long goal. Her father would laugh whenever she told him of these plans but never in a mean way.

So sometimes Ava wonders how she ever ended up working for the government. There wasn't a really clear cut boundary between her life before and her life now. Grade school, high school, university, all seemed to be a blur. Ava ended up with degrees in Foreign languages, communications, and history. Being skilled at talking and learning about people, her studies were always really easy.

Perhaps it was the summer of her second year in university. Ava had gotten an internship with an organization that educated the world about the past. Being extremely interested in history, she loved learning about all the wars and problems that existed before. They were like a fairy tale, and yet so gruesome at the same time. The world today was just so... boring.

Long story short, the organization was really a small branch of the government and her unique personality caught their attention and she rose in rank inside of the organization until she became the one who led it. One day while sifting through websites on war and the past, she stumbled across top secret information on the Evaluation. This was a strange idea, she though. It chilled her, yet delighted her at the same time. When the information leak was discovered, she was warned to not tell anyone about this. When they realized that she actually found this idea amusing, she was given a promotion. Because of her knowledge of top secret information and her ability to interact with others, Ava became the Government Spokesperson.

Anything Else: Her mother left her when she was 2, to pursue her own dreams of becoming world famous fashion designer. Ava was raised entirely by her father.

Username: The Count of Monte Carlo
Character's Name: Maximilian "Max" Evans

Occupation: Mechanic/Junker
City-State of Origin: The Americas (Nevada)
Personality: Independent to a fault, but otherwise a pretty nice guy. Willing to help others out, for a price when he can, but will work for free for the right people.
History: Born and raised in what's left of Nevada's Mojave desert, Max grew up helping his father, his only living parent, in the small repair shop connected to their home. Max showed a proficiency with anything mechanical from an early age, and was able to fix most of his toys before his father even knew that they were broken. In a few years, he started fixing his friends' bikes and scooters, but quickly moved on to go-karts and eventually full cars and motorbikes as he got older.

His life was as good as he could hope for, until an accident took his father and his right leg from the knee down. The leg was replaceable, but a father isn't. Since then Max has done his best to keep the house and business, as well as keep his leg functioning in the hot, dusty, and demanding environment. A few years ago he added a junkyard in the few rural acres near the house to add another source of income.
Anything Else: Prefers to be around machines more than people, and has been known to speak to them on occasion.

Character's Name: Christian Allendorf

Personality: Cheerful, optimistic, hopeful, and open are words that can quite accurately describe him. Christian is a person who is fast to make friends and forget enemies. In fact, in his entire life and even political career, there has not been one person who he didn't like.

History: Christian is, perhaps, the most unlikely person to become a representative of a city-state. He grew up in Ottowa, Ontario in a single-parent, middle-classed household as his father had died of cancer when he was five years old. Although he still retains memories of his father of the times he used to play with him and hold him. But the clearest memories were those of him in pain and bedridden. Christian often prays for him, even now.

Although this was painful for the family, their lives still went on. His father's life insurance was not nearly enough and so his mother began working two jobs to support the family. Thus Christian never really saw her when he was younger and grew up with the house key around his neck and the freedom to come and go as he pleased. He used to resent her, thinking that she didn't care for him at all for she left him alone all the time. But as he grew, he began to understand and appreciate his mother for her strength. Though she had worked so hard to take care of him and earn enough for the family, she never complained and smiled as often as she could. Still, he never remembered once seeing his mother not completely fatigued.

If you had asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, working in the government would be one of the last things on Christians list. His life-long dream had, in fact, been becoming a professional snowboarder. When he was in high school, he would often take his board and some friends and just snowboard all day. That is partially the reason why he ended up going to the University of British Columbia instead of a University in Ontario, for the mountains.

After a few years, he actually did become quite good at snowboarding. His easy going personality made him an extremely likable person and thus his publicity rose because of his character than his actual skill. Growing alongside with his increase in fame was his increasing interest in politics. At first, he had taken a polisci class only to satisfy a requirement. But by the end of the class, his interest in the subject had grown. Majoring in political science and business, he graduated from UBC and went to Harvard where he continued his education to get a PhD.

But alas, Christian never got his Doctorate degree. Instead, he had ended up making friends with quite a few important political figures. When it was time to elect a new representative for the city-state, he had begun his own campaign just for fun. The most ridiculous thing that has ever happened to him was that he had actually won. His amiable, open personality, his snowboarding fame, his above-average looks, and knowledge had apparently been enough to get him elected.

Anything Else: He still snowboards a lot.

Personality: Quiet and proper, she is everything a lady stereotypically should be. Usually, she is quite calm and kind but she has a quick tongue that she is not afraid to use when she is cross.
History: Born in India, she grew up under the shadows of certain stereotypes. One was of marriage. Even though her mother was the President of India at that time, she was not expected to succeed career-wise by the rest of her family and her friends. It was expected that she, like many other women, would find a health-care or teaching career. That would be best for her, they would say. Not following in the footsteps of her mother, who having divorced her father was considered to be a failure as a woman. However, her mother still imbued her with a love for politics and an understanding about the world that very few people could have. And as she went through university and studied, she found that she had the ability to quietly inspire people and make people think about things her way.

When she was 23, she did marry. He was a former classmate of hers. At first she had thought that she was happy, working and taking care of their home. But then, she found that she wanted so much more than this. She wanted to participate in politics and have her say in the affairs of the world. Having a husband at home was holding her down. And so, only three years later, they divorced. This was when Vaishnavi's career truely started.

Because of her calmness and the prosperity and order India had experienced under the direction of her mother, Vaishnavi was soon elected to take her mother's place. She, always putting the people first, with a bit of luck brought even more to India than her mother had. When she was 42, she decided to run for the elections to become a Representative for Nautica. Confident in her words, she won with an alarming number of votes and was elected as the representative.
Anything Else: She is deeply religious, but hides her own beliefs.
