You can't just say a mysterious billionaire off in the Cayman Islands funded some shitty act, you have to connect his bank accounts to his properties, to his businesses and his profit margins.
Imagine some guy runs the dog recycling facility called "bow wow meat" where they grind up dogs and feed them to dogs. Now imagine the population doesn't know this, but the guy who owns the company sponsors an ad campaign that says animals like chickens and cows should have the same rights as pets, because we love our pets right?
Well that's a special kind of double speak, and while my example is fictional, I assure you this kind of double speak is quite common with companies like Phillip Morris/Kraft and Monsanto.
