She was scouted by the Vampire Hunter Association at a young age and so she became a vampire hunter. She holds a greater power than humans so she easily became the no.1 vampire hunter known.Her rage for the race grew as she became older and the disgust she felt for her own being made her not care what became of her body. So she threw herself in a complete indifference and used herself as a vampire-killing machine

 ~*~ She was walking down a dark alley while the wind rushed against her. She took a deep breath and scrutinized through the dark. Left, okay. Right, nothing. Back, nope. Front, not a soul. Above? No. She wandered aimlessly starting to panic. It was here. I senced it. she said during her own conversation with herself in her mind. A weird feeling passed through her and she looked down. No way... Layla couldn't continue her words because a shape appeared in front of her, and a hand grabbed her neck. She heard a hiss in her ear. In the split of a second she found herself on the ground, one hand under her and the only free hand was blocked by her attacker. You're not the only one with fangs around here. said Layla chuckling. The monster's eyes widened while she pierced through the hard skin of the vampire's neck. The thick blood spilled and the vampire loosened his grip over the girl. She relesed her hand and grabbed the gun shooting him in the head. Weaklings... said Layla to herself while she got up slowly. She searched in a pocket and got out a piece of paper. and a pen and then she traced a stroke on a name. One down, hundreads to go.~*~
