Thank you for not advertising for other guilds within this one.

Why would I?

I accidentally did. Sorry, Kyrenx. But to be honest, if you allow people like Bislas in the guild, you're encouraging a bad competitive atmosphere.

It's alright, just try to keep that down to a minimum if you would. In regards to this whole situation, everyone needs to not take what's said online so seriously. We try to provide an atmosphere for competition and casual players alike, while disputes like this might arise between the bunch.. I don't think kicking people out simply because they don't conform to the rest is the way to go either. If Bislas wants to battle with us, he'll need to follow the standard clauses, end of story. And if he doesn't, then he's still more than welcome to join in the discussions (after all, new players learn new things every day through discussions between competition players and casuals, usually something that would go unsaid between just competitive players). Besides, without EV training, most newbies just get pummeled into the dirt anyways, and if they don't want to learn then just put another tally in the win column and move on.

If it is still in you to leave, than I'm sorry to hear it. Your presence will be missed as you've stirred up quite a bit of discussion lately, but unfortunately, I'm not going to throw someone out who hasn't broken any of the guild's rules. With that being said, I will let the chips lay where ever they may fall at this point.

If he didn't want to battle that's fine, but he has no business complaining about Smogon's rules.
He also contradicted himself often and didn't have a rudimentary grasp of grammar or spelling.

Scrap: please foward me the PM.

I will do so if Kyrenx so requests.

Aw I wanted to see it...

While I do admit to not participating in the guild everyday, I do enjoy the comments made by some people(such as yourself). They have helped my battling knowledge and have encouraged me to look up some topics I may not have known about or had little knowledge of. I will join Kyrenx in sadness at seeing your absence since you have placed some valid points and arguments on several occasions.

I have decided to return.

Hooray!

Indeed.

I am sorry friend to say, but I think your being a little too hard on Bislas here. Just because someone has a hard time expressing their opinion especially online doesn't make it any less valid than anyone else's.

As far as complaining is concerned, as mentioned by Nitrox, there is a lot judgement calls that our guild disagrees with from Smogon's community, but that is our perceived judgment on what we define as fair with in the rules of competitive play. Not all like to adhere to such rigid restrictions and this fine because everyone is entitled to play their game the way they like as well as have an opinion about anything no matter how mis-informed they are. Just because someone states an opinion, (especially one that you don't like) doesn't mean you have to acknowledge it. Doing so just creates unnecessary tension and anger. Its one thing to correct a person's comments and give constructive criticism. Its another thing to get upset over it and either start or exacerbate a meaningless argument.

On a positive note, I am also glad that you are willing to stay since it's always a pleasure to read someone's well informed post about this crazy game that unfortunately, brings out the best and worst of us all. razz

Same goes to you Scrapjack. smile

LOL... Same here friend.Especially when hax is definitely not in my favor. On a similar note. You should have been here to have witnessed how ugly some of the comments were when we had the debate about Garchomp and Salamance being pushed into the uber tier. I swear, sometimes, some people are just hard to have a calm discussion with.

Ah, good, this was taken care of.
I especially agree with

It's one person. We'll take care of problems as needed. If anything else is especially and understandably irritating, PM us in the future with the problem and we'll look into it. Banning will be administrated when necessary, as will warnings. Because our guild is so open, though, such people are bound to appear in the guild. All will be taken care of.
