A Calming Voice
Ligeia perched up on the top of the D-Corp building, starring out over the area around where the building stood before he looked over at where his dragon next to him. He reached a hand out to pat it on his head then scratched him under the chin. He reached over to the bag that he carried, digging into it and got out his phone to look at it, "Hrm." He went clicking through the list of numbers that he had on the blue colored phone with the snowflake sticker on the back of it.
"Huh... I think I might call him." He murmured, flicking back to the top of the list as he looked at the name there. Chath Emehud. One of few that never really looked down on him, sure he'd mistaken him for a girl once but aside from that he wasn't disappointed with him. He gave a smile before he clicked on the number and let the phone call it.
THe phone was ringing and Chath was in one of those rare moments where Keir didn't want anything to do with him. Wallowing in his mud hole as the newt enjoyed soaking on his sponge bed. Jerking up he looked over to the phone, it was a new one..recently acquired cell phone as he felt he should have one since ..well...he was out so much if he got to the point where he collapsed he didn't think Keir would really be that helpful.
Flipping it over he answered it with a click and held it to his head. "Hello?"
The owl gave a little smile when he heard the voice on the other end of the line, even just the one single word was more then enough to cause him to relax that much more after his rather trying Magic Class. He blinked a couple times when he realized he hadn't responded and his cheeks colored a little, "Ahh... hello Chath." He greeted the newt at long last, his wings giving a little flutter behind him.
Chath perked right up, rolling a stiff shoulder as if he was expecting to go out and get more exercise. "Hey Geia! What's up?" He asked sounded delighted in hearing the owl boy's voice. After all it was his boyfriend.
"Not much, I'm sitting up on top of D-Corp's roof thinking some things." He said, looking out over the scenery once more as he heard the happiness in Chath's voice, something that pleased him to no end. That he sounded so happy to hear from him made the owl happy in return, "I just got out of class..." He trailed off for a long moment, seeming to fall back into deep thought for a moment before asking, "Do you... feel I should have done more against Auloll?"
Chath only chuckled at the mention of his boyfriend being on a tall building. Not surprised in the least he shifted and began to pace as it was habit to keep moving even a little whilst on the phone.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you called me from the Eiffel tower.." He chuckled and he was about to ask Geia about the type of class he had been in when he heard the rest of the sentence.
"Wha...why do you bring that up?" He inquired slowly, after all he had a arm torn off by that particular dragon. He flexed his rather newly regrown hand in an antsy fashion.
"I mean you did what you could right? No one could of asked for more." He ..continued slowly, "Heck..non of us were really ready to fight something of that magnitude....not then."
"My teacher today... it was a bit like... sparring would be for you and Ter but with magic... the spells he used against me were rather intimidating, frightening. Spells that could seriously injure or kill someone." He said, chewing on his lower lip for a moment, "I... was told I can't defend forever because inevitably my shields will fall and I can't protect the people I love if I don't fight..." He didn't want to fight but if he were able to do what Zyane could do would he have been able to help Chath back then? It wasn't fair at all to think in such a manner because his powers weren't as developed then as they were now but he couldn't help to question himself. If somehow they ended up in a situation like that he could hurt or kill someone else to keep Chath safe?
"What do you think? Would you strike out at someone else to protect me?" He asked of the newt in a curious manner.
Chath was silent, he could tell by the way Geia was talking that he had been thinking a lot about this...and he was uncomfortable at the idea of hurting people. He didn't want Geia to have to resort to hurting people.
"Well I dunno about that, I mean I guess if he is a teacher he'd know best but..you shouldn't have to hurt people to pro.." He was about to continue to reassure him when the last question popped up. "Yes." He replied instantly and without hesitation then he seemed to back off a bit sounding sheepish, "I mean...well..yeah. I wouldn't want to hurt people...but..I mean if they are out to hurt you...I'd stop them."
He gave a bit of a smile, "I don't want to hurt anyone but... I know that there are bad people in the world. I don't want to be powerless if I end up in a dangerous situation again but at the same time I wonder if I have it in me to cast spells like that." He said, sounding as though he were musing to himself. Could he really use something like the Icy Maiden? Could he cast a spell that could cast serious harm to a person if it meant saving someone else? Would he attack if it meant saving Chath from more pain?
"I hate the idea of hurting people... but I wonder if I should concentrate more on those I would be helping? What do you think? I go back for a follow up class tomorrow and... I don't want to give up on magic after all. Its been part of my life for so long." He murmured then gave a nod of his head, trying to steel himself.
The newt was chewing on his lower lip. It HURT. Quite a bit..he needed to stop that. "I dunno, I mean you don't have to use your magic to hurt people. It's your choice Geia. If you don't want to don't feel pressured into it. I don't want you to resent your magic...your far too talented for that. "I mean...you can always ask if there are ways of ..using less...dangerous spells? I don't know Geia...all I know is if I was trying to protect you I'd do everything in my power to. I cannot say for certain if I can bring myself to physically maim or send a person to the hospital..but...I'd do what I could."
"Thank you Chath, talking with you always seems to help when I get stuck." He murmured, giving a little flutter of his wings, "You seem to be one of the few people that looks at me without being disappointed or thinking I need to change myself, it means a lot to me."
He pushed himself up to his feet, stretching out his wings, "I will have to talk with the guy tomorrow to figure out what my next step in my training is." He just couldn't allow his teacher to forcefully lead his training, he would need to try to steel himself and walk his own path instead of being influenced and shoved around by those around him. He smiled again, ears tufts wiggling, "Thank you Chath."
Chath felt a sigh of relief go through him, after all Geia sounded happier. "Yeah no problem Geia...hey when did you want to get together next? I am sure Keir may be nice enough to cut m a break to see my boyfriend." He laughed, though..knowing Keir it could also be very unlikely to happen.
The owl blinked a couple times before he couldn't help but to chuckle, "Yeah, I'm sure that he would happily let you come and see me, I know how much he loves me after all." He said with a bit of a chuckle. After all if there was anyone in the world that really hated him and wanted a piece of him it was Keir since Geia for stealing Chath away to play when he should be training.
Chath beamed happily and nodded his head, "Why not call me after you speak to your teacher tomorrow? You can rant or maybe it will be a better class." He was trying to be encouraging to his boyfriend.
"Maybe I should sneak over tomorrow, break you out of your own training, and sneak you off to do something more amusing?" He asked of the newt, unable to keep from laughing just a little bit at the look that he was sure to be on the face of the dragon if he discovered that Chath had slipped away from him to play with the owl again. He would hope that the class tomorrow would go better then it had today, he would at least be ready for it if nothing else.
Chath only smiled and nodded his head ..mostly to himself. "we'll see how far we get..you know how persistent Keir can be about training. He doesn't exactly approve of our alone time.." He murmured with a sigh, "But I'll talk to you tomorrow. Miss ya lots."
The owl couldn't help but to flush a bit when Chath told him that he missed him lots, his wings gave a rapid flutter and he smiled brightly, "Yeah, tomorrow." He said, "I miss you and love you, Chath." He told him happily into the phone, his heart thudding in his chest in a happy manner. He was feeling a lot better, ready again to go back to class instead of fleeing from it and not going back. He didn't want to be a weak after all, he wanted to get stronger, wanted to be better with his magic.
Chath smiled and managed I love you too before the phone was hung up. It always made his heart thud against his chest when he said that. He only hoped that Geia's next class would be better.

With Chath: Part One
There wasn't much to say or do, well the latter was a lie, actually Chath was idly trying to keep Keir from splattering acid everywhere in his annoyance that they were meeting with Chath's boyfriend.
"You didn't have to come you know..." Chath stated for the hundredth time, the black was just growling and pacing back and forth as if this tactic would intimidate Chath enough to go back to their training session.
Not come...laughable. I will not let you just go and waste time like this. The black snorted, annoyed enough that he was drooling acid. The split splat of the drool hitting the cement and causing small holes.
"Will you stop that. All the sidewalks are going to be ruined because of you." Chath sighed as he shifted and kept moving, stretching at least this seemed to ease the antsy part of Keir ...even if a bit.
Despite a touch of fatigue from the class and the early morning he'd had Ligeia was in a surprisingly good and cheery mood but then again it was only a rare thing from time to time when any other mood crept up on him, normally when he got overwhelmed by things and ended up panicking which seemed to be the default emotion for the owl when he got upset over things. That was yesterday, today was his normal, cheery self and he was happily clinging to Vorel's neck, hanging off of it as they walked along in a manner the Frost found to be amusing. He knew why his owl was in such a good mood both because he was feeling confident with his magic once more but more importantly it was the fact that they were going to meet with the owl's mate, it was a thing that anyone would be happy about.
"I am glad you are happy again." He said, tail swishing as they came out of the elevator on the ground floor, walking toward the front door. He really was, seeing Geia happy made the Frost happy just as seeing him upset seemed to make Vorel instantly upset as well though his upset was complete with claws, teeth, and freezing breath...
"I really am! I can't wait to see him, it feels like forever!" Sure it wasn't nearly that long but it didn't mean it didn't feel that way. If he had his way they would always be together... he was quite sure that if he were always with Chath that Keir was likely to have a fit... not that the owl cared to much aside from the fact the Black had a foul temper like Auloll and drooled acid.
Vorel lowered his head to let Geia down onto his feet and the owl pushed through the front door of D-Corp, letting the Frost out. As was usual with Ligeia, despite the weather being colder, he was in what he often wore. A tank top, capri pants, barefoot because he'd taken off his sandals after class, and the silver bracelet he rarely took off unless he had to for class or he was taking a shower. Cold endurance was useful for never having to wear warm clothing unless it was something he wanted because it was pretty.
Chath also had to keep moving for other reasons than to keep Keir satisfied and focused on him. With the cooler weather he tended to slow down he was part amphibian after all...and cold meant that he slowed down quite a bit. He couldn't add layers like other people, his skin was far too sensitive for that. Though his feet were wrapped in bandages, best he could do to give better protection against the cold. Same with his arms. He stretched and kept moving only pausing when he spotted Geia and his dragon Vorel come out of the door of the D-corp building.
"Geia!" He called out with a wave about to come over when a flash of acid landed in front of his path. Keir was ticked. Great.
"How was your lesson?" He called out putting his hands behind his head and fingering his dragon so the owl couldn't see.
Ligeia turned to look over to where the Newt was standing and almost instantly he was flushed in excited and delight seeing him standing there, "Chath." He murmured, moving over toward him, seeing the way that the Black Dragon seemed to be trying to keep them apart with acid spit he gave a little sigh and a shake of his head before he bounced over the puddle with a flap of his wings, then landed in front of the taller boy. He paused for a moment, gazed up at him, then smiled, "It went much better today." He said, wings fluttering in a delighted manner and one could tell that he was a half a step away from pouncing on the newt but he was trying his hardest to behave since Keir was there.
Keir gave a rumbling sound...resigning to the fact that his boy and...his...'girlfriend' were now making kisses faces at each other. He laid down sullenly grumbling and rumbling taking his anger out on D-corps planters.
Chath felt his own face warm up considerably as Geia was suddenly in front of him.
"W..well that is good! I take it ..the phone call to me had something about it?" He stated cheerfully, moving his hand down to take one of the owl boys lightly.
Ligeia nodded his head, "Yeah, talking to you helped me calm down a lot and I was able to get some sleep until..." He trailed off, looking over at Keir for a moment before lifting up onto his tip toes before whispering to the newt, "Has Ter called you yet?" He asked in a hushed tone of voice, not wanting for Keir to hear him, not even one word of what he'd just said was to reach the Black Dragon because that could spell disaster...
Vorel turned to look over at the dragon who was making short work of the planters before giving a slight shake of his head, as temperamental as always the Frost thought to himself, sitting down on his haunches to watch him silently. Best to keep an eye on him, to make sure he didn't try to pick on his own anymore.

With Chath: Part Two
Chath nodded his head slightly to indicate that yes Ter had called him, "Yeah..did he find Baroness?" He inquired as he was a bit on the concerned side, since well...Ter did call him of all people to ask for his help. The situation had seemed fairly serious.
The black's gaze was latched onto Chath's back as if glaring at it would suddenly turn the boy straight and manly.
Geia starred at the newt for a long moment, he would take that as a no... he looked over at Keir for a long moment, a somewhat uncertain look in his eyes before he lifted up a hand to catch hold of some of Chath's hair, pulling him down so he could whisper in his ear, "Maria found three eggs, Chath." He told his boyfriend, he should know what was going on since those eggs did belong half to his partner after all.
Chath could be a bit dense at times, he knew Maria if only vaguely and he obviously knew what eggs were...but he didn't make the connection between eggs and Baroness right away.
"Oh? Robin eggs? Or chicken eggs? its a bit early for Easter..." He started off as he thought the subject was changing rather quickly. He looked...confused. And his reply showed that much.
Geia starred at the newt for a long, long time before he lifted his hand up to his mouth... he couldn't help it as he started to giggle, hard. He had been worried that Chath was going to react badly, freak out, over heat, pass out, but instead he just stood there asking what sort of eggs it was that he had found, "Oh, Chath... I love you." He said, giving a little shake of his head. He could be so oblivious, couldn't he? But then again he supposed that the newt was likely not thinking about what Geia knew as the truth.
He lifted a hand to motion at Keir, "She found EGGS Chath." He said again, still in a quiet voice, waiting to see if the newt got it this time.
Chath tilted his head looking obviously confused and befuddled, yes they had established...the young girl had founds eggs. EGGS even. So...what was so...oh. Light bulb.
Eyes widening he took a step back and steadied himself. "What??" he asked incredulously, before he lowered his voice and then moved in closer to Geia. "Are you serious??" He whispered harshly.
"I haven't seen them but Vorel has, he told me that they smelled like Baroness and well... from what I gather Keir is the only one she has shown... well 'that' sort of interest in." He murmured back, giving the Black Dragon another glance, "I can't say I know what happened to them though, Vorel said they were taken away by techs but that they had been cold for some time so they didn't know if they would make it." It was a sad thing, even though it was certain they would be monstrous things it would be sad if all of the eggs expired after Maria tried so hard to help them.
Chath couldn't help but feel a bit relieved. He felt horrible about it...but at the same time a creature....Baroness and Keir together...spawned...would be hell on earth he was fairly sure. But how to say that without sounding heartless..
"Well..I suppose it will be fate if they make it. I am sure the techs will do what they can." He stated quietly. He was pretty sure Keir wouldn't care... Ligeia nodded his head, "Yes, I am sure. I just thought that you might want to know since... well I don't know if Ter would remember to call or even thing to call." He said, then drew back from him, smiling up at the newt in a happy manner, wings giving a little flutter. He had told him the news so now that it was out of the way he was going to relax once more, be cheerful once more, "Do we want to start walking? I learned today that I need to work on building up more stamina once again."
Chath seemed distracted, as if this news was something he should fret over. Eggs? ....it was unlikely they would survive. But what if they did? What little monsters would be born from Keir and Baroness's one time fling?
"uh..what?" he asked shaking his head a bit, he nodded slowly as he had been standing too still for too long and felt his brain slowing down.Perhaps that was the reason why he was so slow on the hints today.
"Yeah..I mean yes lets get moving. Where did you want to go?"
Geia looked up at him before giving a smile, "Where? Probably somewhere indoors and warm." He suggested, which he didn't mind the weather he knew that Chath wasn't a fan of the cold, knew that it bothered him, and as such he wanted to go where the newt would be comfortable, "We can either go for a walk or fly to get to some where else, maybe somewhere we can get lunch? Or maybe sneak into one of the terrain rooms?" He suggested, he had keys into them that he'd gotten from his father a long while back that he still used from time to time.
The idea of getting food was appealing, but given Keir's temperament he figured the terrain room would probably be a better option. At least the black could be destructive there and no one would terribly mind.
"How about we grab a snack and head for a terrain room, they have a cafeteria at the facility?" He asked as he had never personally eaten there before so he had no idea.
He gave a nod of his head, "The food is actually better then you would think." He said, after having lived so long in the apartments of the place he had eaten here quite often so he knew where they could find food before heading up to the terrain room. He turned to look over at his partner and smiled, "Vorel! We are going to get a snack then head to the Terrain rooms, do you want to go on ahead?" He called to the dragon, knowing that he could get around on his own and knew which floor had the terrain rooms, "Probably the field one with the stream." He suggested, knowing that one would give the dragons the most to do.
Vorel nodded his head, pushing up to his feet before looking over at Keir, "Are you going with me or them?" He asked as he made his way toward the doors, curious if Keir would go with him or stalk after the happy couple.
Geia turned back to the newt, giving him a smile before taking Chath's hand in his, leading the way toward the front doors, "Lets go inside and get you warmed up." He said with a bright smile.
Keir had risen to his feet looking non too pleased though when the question was poised at him by the frost, his gaze moved from Vorel to Chath and back to Vorel. The dragon was dumb. Chath ..was ...in kissy face mode. He'd take his chances with the moronic dragon.
You.. He rumbled looking quite pissed all the same.
Chath was surprised and a bit worried about letting Keir wander off...after all he was a black dragon... and telling him to behave was like poking a hornets nest.
"Yeah we'll be there soon." He echoed Geia instead.
Ligeia watched as Vorel headed inside with the Black Dragon and found himself hoping that the Frost wouldn't tell Keir about his potential children, he was sure that Vorel would say anything... he hoped. He pushed the thought aside before walking along once more, leading the way inside where the temperatures were much higher and as such he hoped that Chath would feel more comfortable. The first thing he did was lead the way to where food could be found. The moment he could smell it his stomach gave a little rumble, "Ahh... heh. Seems that my class made me rather hungry." He said with a giggle.
Chath couldn't help but have his gaze linger on the black until he was out of sight. Like a fretting mother he fidgeted a bit as they walked and soon snapped out of it when he looked down at Geia. The food itself smelt better than he had expected and as he warmed up he felt the hunger gnaw at his belly as well.
"Haha well sounds like our stomachs are in agreement." He stated as his own stomach growled hungrily. "What should we get? Should we bring the two anything?"
The owl gave a smile as he headed forward, "There is normally a calendar set up that has on it what is going to be served any given day, as well as some other snacks and stuff to be had. I could go for any of it." Or all of it he added mentally before going to look at the paper, curious what was being served today as the main lunch meal, "Says... pizza. Ooo, cool I rather like that." He looked over at Chath, "What about you? What do you think?" He wondered what the newt thought of that option he found himself wondering, wanting to learn more and more about his boyfriend so that he could know all there was to be had about his boyfriend.
Chath's own eating habits he preferred...bugs. Often seen eating bugs off the wall, or if he caught them in general. He often went for escargot when able to find any. But since non of those were on the menu he looked it over and shrugged. Pizza would be fine, he'd probably eat that. Had he..eaten pizza before? Now that he thought on it..no he hadn't.
"Never had it." He replied honestly, "But if you like it I am sure I will." He replied with a nod of his head.
A flushed colored the owl's cheeks as Chath said that if Geia liked pizza that he was sure he would as well. His wings fluttered behind him before he led the way into the cafeteria and over to where they could get some food. It looked quite good, had a couple of types of toppings, and Ligeia happily took the one with the various types of meat on it to put that on his plate along with a few other things, some snack foods, and a bottle of juice, "I have some money with me so I can pay today." He could use the fact that he was Orpheus's son as a way of getting a discount since he was a teacher. Always nice to get a discount on their food, "We should get something at least for the dragons to snack on so they don't feel left out." It didn't matter to much what it was for Vorel as he would prepare it how he wanted it which was flash frozen an crunchy.
Right these things cost money, it hadn't occurred to him to bring cash, so his face reddened in embarrassment though he coughed into his hand and nodded his head.
"Th..thanks. I'll pay next time." He assured more himself than the owl. He ..had no idea what to get for toppings...so he just copied Geia opting for a bottle of water than juice.
"Should we eat here? I am sure the dragons can wait a few more minutes." Ligeia gave a nod of his head, "Sure, that sounds nice! Like a lunch date." He said, wings fluttering as he got out his wallet from the back he carried, paying for what all they got. His prepackaged snacks were put into his bag along with his wallet before he motioned to one of the tables, "We can go sit over there and talk, it will be nice." He was sure that Keir would be unhappy when they took forever getting there before the two of them were enjoying a nice meal but the owl was all for stealing Chath away from the Black Dragon as often as possible since he liked their alone time.
Chath nodded his head, following the owl like a lost puppy may, really he was just flustered at labeling this a lunch date. It he wasn't careful he could over heat and pass out...he didn't really want to do that. As soon as they sat down he unscrewed the lid to his water and took a couple mouthfuls before he went to check on the water bottle attached at his hip. Half full....he needed to fill it.
He seemed to be waiting though as he settled down beside Geia. As if waiting for the owl to eat first.
The owl watched as the newt gulped from the water bottle he got before he gave a bit of a smile, "The terrain room that Vorel is going to has a stream in it." He told Chath, smiling at his boyfriend for a moment before adding in a manner that was 'totally innocent', "Its a shame that Vorel and Keir will be there, huh? We could go swimming otherwise." He couldn't help but to tease him just a little, Chath was so cute when he got flustered and flushed.
He turned to his food after say that and picked up his pizza, taking a big bite out of it and chewed on it, ear tufts wiggling happily as he chewed and swallowed it. He was quite hungry so the owl happily munched on a few bites without saying anything, wanting to take the edge off of his hunger. He set it down, took a drink of his juice, then turned to look at Chath to see what he thought of it.

Runaway Dragon
Winging through the sky, a black dragon would normally look feirce and dominant but this particular black dragon was flying perhaps a bit too fast...something almost desperate in his flight as if running away from something. But what would a dragon, one as proud and defiant as Keir try to get away from? Upon his proud face lay several small gashes, nothing serious, not even deep...in fact the wound barely even bled. As if something had ruffled his scales the black was flying erratically and in no particular direction. That soon changed as he spotted the home that belonged to ...Geia...and his dumb frost dragon. Snorting he was about to fly past when he recalled another dragon that also inhabited this place a certain spit-fire of a wyvern named Baroness. Now perhaps it was his pride was hurt...or he actually longed for companionship (the latter seeming far less likely), but he soon found himself winging down towards the home and settling in the back yard. Hackles raised his head dropped low as if anticipating an attack. Knowing that Wyvern he could never be too careful.
Lounging on the deck that she had long ago claimed as her own the wyvern's eyes slid open when she heard the sound of wing beats, scented the very last dragon in the world she was expecting, and then have a little snorting sound as she pushed up onto her back legs to turned her golden eyes over toward where he stood. What in the seven levels of Hell was he doing here? Surely he knew nothing, nobody did, right? Another snort escaped from her as she mentally reassured herself that there was nothing to worry about, that one was as oblivious as anything. Likely he was here because he wanted a fight or another go... the former of which being far more likely. Giving a flap of her strong wings he jumped off the deck and moved forward toward the black dragon, tail lashing, "Keir, long time no see." She said in a tone that wasn't exactly friendly... but then again when was she ever friendly? Deciding to herself silently that Keir really was a man in the way that he disappeared after getting what he wanted she approached him. It wasn't that she minded too much since it had given her time to deal with her... problem.
The black dragon had scented Baroness and though being male it raised some hopes at another encounter last the last time his mind was on the other hand too preoccupied. Still her sudden appearance caused him to raise his head, eyes glaring at her accusingly even though there was nothing to accuse her with. Even if the wounds were small they would be noticeable to a dragon...marred up scales were like a neon sign of a scuffle. A small growl or grunt escaped past his nostrils as he regarded her and then swinging his head to stare at shrubbery as if he was ignoring the fact it had been HIS decision to come down here. "Yes...a long time. Why were you hoping for another go?" He snorted trying to sound smug..but coming off as...disturbed by what he was saying. Tossing his head he paced slightly on the spot as if he couldn't stand still. Tail lashing he unfolded his wings..and refolded them unfold refold...as if he couldn't decide if leaving was the better option. Finally they refolded settling on the black's back as he finally turned his head to stare at Baroness. Something seemed different about her..not that he could pin point why. "What exactly is the purpose of our ...predicament?" He demanded suddenly and rather..curiously phrased for though he meant being partnered with humanoid children it could be taken many different ways. "What is the purpose of us being paired?" He snapped again.
The wyvern's lashing tail for a moment froze before it crashed into the ground and a little, threatening sound escaped from her, "Another go? Not at the moment I don't." While Keir was what one would want in a mate, he was powerful, dangerous, intimidating, and capable of breeding, she still didn't want anything to do with him at the moment. She would blame everything that had occurred back then on him and take no responsibility herself, "Let us hope that isn't why you are here, Keir, I would hate to have to hand you your a** and send you so quickly on your way." Though it would seem that she wasn't really the first one to get at him today, was she? She was it he was scuffling with? Best not be some other scaly b***h or she might have to tear that dragoness's throat out after she was done with Keir she thought to herself in a manner that went against her earlier desires to be rid of this one. Damn it, stupid mixed up thoughts she thought to herself, then jerked her head over at him.
"What predicament?" She demanded, then blinked when he continued on and asked of the purpose of them being paired... and got a feeling it wasn't the two of them that the black was talking about, "Ahhh, yes... that. Hell if I know, stupid humans thinking they can actually tame us. Something I think is impossible aside from stupid ones like Vorel or the submissive ones like Hinder." She said, shrugging before laying down, tail lashing, "Why? Don't tell me it was your queer newt that scuffed you up." She was just teasing him, never thinking for an instant that it might even be a possibility.
The dragon snarled a bit rolling his shoulders, muscles bunching and clenching...it was evident that he was beyond antsy and his head snapped at the word 'queer newt' he snarled slightly before he batted at the ground..or rather gouged the ground with his claws. "We fought.." The black stated avoiding looking at Baroness's gaze for a moment staring at the claw marks he left in the dirt. "He..has learned well my lessons ...but ..." He went silent for a moment before he tilted his head looking to Baroness as if trying to figure if she was worth speaking with. Would she actually take him seriously? Or be just irritating though part of that was what was attractive to him. Her wit. "Have you ever harmed your partner?" He inquired on a quieter and more serious tone a low growl in his throat as if threatening her to answer truthfully.
The wyvern looked a little surprised when it seemed that her joking guess had actually been the right one, "You fought?" She asked, tail swishing behind her in a thoughtful manner, wondering if the black dragon had made quick work of his partner, teaching him his place... but it would seem not, he said that the newt had learned his lessons well. Did that mean that he had survived? Interesting, perhaps the black wasn't as strong as she had always figured he was? He then asked her if she had ever hurt her partner and she started to chuckle, "Hurt, Ter? Why would I? He's never done anything to piss me off... though were he to do so I see no reason to hesitate in sinking my teeth into that arrogant little a**." She liked her partner well enough, they worked well together, and he wasn't an embarrassment. He was someone that she could get along with and knew his place, "So, did he what did he do to deserve your wrath?" She was quite interested now, hoping that it was a good story filled with gruesome details... did the newt lose another arm? How amusing would that be, to lose the arm again to the son of the one who tried to eat him the first time, how wonderful would that be?
Keir looked surprised and irritated at her response...so she would make short work of her partner would she? "I see.." He mused out loud before finally beginning to relax a bit, some part of him wondered how much of what she spoke was bluffing. "Then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I took a chunk out of your boy.." Keir was being droll trying to spark a response from her, if she was nonchalant about it then perhaps she was being serious about putting Ter in his place. "I've done a lot of thinking since the dragons had rebelled...I was young then..and leapt into action without thinking. ..I protected Chath..for I wasn't going to let anyone but me hurt him I wanted to prove myself stronger than ...her." He looked away shaking his head slightly at the lingering foul taste on his tongue. "That boy sure did taste mighty horrendous..." He muttered sticking his tongue out a couple times as if air would manage to rid him of that flavor it was a couple moments before he continued, "But the more I think on it the more I wonder ...what my purpose was being here..with..this boy. I've tried to toughen him up..if I have to be with him he at least could be less of an embarrassment. What keeps you with your boy? Surely we could leave at anytime...just like those other dragons did."
Baroness listened to what he was saying, finding it to be rather interesting as he went on about his thoughts and feelings... this was strange, here she didn't even think that one had any feelings other then angry. To think that he had such deep thoughts to him, it was quite interesting... though she also had to look around for a moment to see if perhaps Hell was freezing over or something. Never did she think she would be playing the part of the listening ear to Keir of all creatures... really the only one she listened to when it came to such babble was Maria and she really had no idea why she did. Likely due to the fact that she looked somewhat similar to Ter in color and the fact that she had scales... that thought was forgotten when Keir commented on how his boy tasted before making faces over it, "Did you eat him then?" She asked, "Ha! I bet that stupid, girly boy owl would cry then, how delightful." Her tail wagged at the thought, heavily influenced in her thoughts of Geia by Ter and her thoughts often reflected that.
Keir continued on, saying he didn't know what his purpose was, that he tried to toughen up his boy, to try to make him less of an embarrassment, and wondered if his commenting on it meant that perhaps he felt he failed, "Well it seems you were able to toughen him up if he was able to scuff your scales up even a bit." She said offhandedly, seeming to have complimented him a touch without meaning to. She could only hope it didn't give him a bigger ego, she would have to have to rid him of it. At the question posed to her the wyvern's maw pulled back into a toothy smirk, "What keeps me with him? A mutual love of vandalism and violence, do you know how much fun it is to go around kicking over mail boxes at night? Hilarious." She said with a laugh, only growing a little more serious when he commented on them leaving as the other dragons had, "Huh... leaving, huh? I did for a while, it was strangely... lonely when I was out and about on my own. Not that you can spread that around, I'd deny it... or just kill you to keep you from telling anyone." She told him in a matter of fact manner, not wanting anyone to know that she had missed Ter while she was off getting rid of her unwanted eggs.
Snorting the dragon shook his head, "No...though I may of damaged his newly grown arm...that boy is resilient if..nothing else." Resilient and stubborn...actually the more that he thought on it Chath was nearly as stubborn as he was in some cases. He pondered on what Baroness said about how she had similar interests with her boy. So..why did he stay with Chath? He certainly had no love interest in Vorel...the sheer thought made him sick to his stomach..though that could of been the poison from Chath's skin....maybe both. "I do not share similar interests like my boy...so I am not sure why i say with him...perhaps ..like you ..some part of me does not wish to be alone. " He mused, it seemed almost surreal that these two dragons were having a 'heart to heart; conversation...tell that to anyone and no one would believe it. "Hmm...true...he did..manage that.." Though he couldn't exactly look at the wound on his snout his hand came up and brushed it lightly..it wasn't much..but considering that Chath was bare handed...
"What..will you do if your boy changes? As much as I enjoy causing chaos and destruction..even I know humans have rules...though I doubt many of their pathetic law enforcements would try to tangle with a poisonous boy and his rather impressive dragon." Keir slipped the compliment in..perhaps noting her small encouragement about Chath..or perhaps he was trying to turn her on who knew but him. "I myself ...may have to leave Chath. I doubt he'd trust me after nearly taking his arm off...."
Baroness gave a thoughtful sound in her throat. What would she do if Ter changed? She couldn't really say, "I suppose we will see when and if that time goes, I can hope that with the one he is courting, someone who is a terrible influence on him, that he won't change." Wouldn't that be nice? She made a bit of a face, "But given how dumb they both are they might end up with little spawn... how horrible would have be.. little half snake half... whatever that girl is, some sort of bug." She muttered, tossing her head from side to side trying to clear the mental image of such a mutant from her thoughts and looked back over at the black dragon when he mentioned that he might have to leave Chath, that he doubted that the boy would trust him anymore after nearly taking off his arm, "Wow... like mother like son." She murmured to herself, doing her best to keep amusement from her tone, not wanting to piss him off at the moment since things seemed to be quite calm at the moment. Strange given that normally they were at each others throats. This was... a new sort of experience... and one she was likely to get bored with soon enough.
The wyvern's form gave a little twitch, she sniffed at the air, then turned slowly to look behind them... odd, she'd swear that she had just scented that damn owl... but she didn't see him anywhere. A bonus since she was sure that he would likely flip out if he heard that his little boy toy was missing an arm... or at least almost missing one. Turning back to look at Keir again she couldn't shake the feeling that the owl was nearby. Likely just paranoia the wyvern thought to herself, unable to keep her tail from lashing.
Cocking his head he also tried to imagine such a pairing as he knew the pair..(how could he being the girl was his own boy's ..'sister' or sorts) the idea of them having spawns of their own was a scary thought. "yes..a bug of sorts...she is." He continued a bit distractedly as he noticed how Baroness tensed, given how often he scented Geia on Chath he also stiffened some what not liking the idea of the owl boy listening in on their conversation considering how often he was in a rage and not ..being calm and contemplative like he was now. Shifting his weight Keir took a step forward to Baroness eying her somewhat. "Heh..I think all blacks have part of their mothers rage...its in our black..." He murmured before he came a bit closer looking at her a moment before he came almost nose to nose with her. "I think I will be leaving now...I've overstayed my welcome..and don't want to cause you any more trouble." It seems odd..to hear such words from Keir thoughtful ones at that. Lingering a moment only to turn away and shake his head. "If you had been a black...you'd be mine." He commented as he then took a running leapt into the air. Wings beating frantically to gain altitude as he began to fly off...to where he wasn't sure just yet.
Baroness gave a bit of a snort, "As though you can cause me anymore trouble then you already have." She said, finding that to be a rather honest answer since he was in fact the reason behind her being caught in quite a horrible situation not too terribly long ago. As he dared to tell her that if she had been of his kind that she would have been his she gave a bit of a smirk, "Is that so? Perhaps you're right if I were a black I might be yours, but since I am not you could never keep me." She told him, watching as the dragon took off into the air and flew away from her. She found it to be a bit of a shame that he was heading out so quickly, especially since she had no idea if she would see him again given his talk about leaving on his own and being unable to go back to Chath, "What a shame." She said, giving a shrug before returning to her deck.
Over head, kneeling on the roof of the house Geia went over what he'd heard before he took to the air to head for Chath's place, best that he go and check on him, to see if Keir were being truthful or if he were exaggerating... he really hoped that it was the latter, not wanting to see poor Chath down an arm again. Just the mere idea that he might be hurt as bad as that again made him want nothing more then to run to him... as well as kick Keir in his scaly backside, the second thing being something that would have to wait for now. Chath's safety came first.

Rescuing the Princess
Wandering the streets was a rather, tired angry and hurt Chath. Though after his fight with Keir the battle ending with the dragons teeth sinking into his newly grown shoulder/arm a pause before Keir removed his teeth from said arm/shoulder and winging off without a word. Chath knew there was muscle damage...well he couldn't lift his new arm..wonderful and he had been bleeding. With one hand he had managed to make a rather ...haphazard looking arm sling and bandage over the shoulder. He couldn't as his mother for help..she'd just worry and his sister would wonder why the ******** he was fighting his dragon...and would probably say he deserved it too. But that was at least an hour ago and spray bottle in its holster he was now wandering the streets trying to find his dragon. Calling out Keir's name in a loud if tired fashion the poor boy was finding himself feeling drained. Sitting down on a stone bench he sprayed himself as he thought things over. Though Keir and him fought often it had normally been with words or threats Keir had never actually bit him before and it was a big shock for him. Bringing back all sorts of repressed memories of loosing his arm he had found himself trembling and weak just shortly after the incident. Then...despite all that Chath managed to pull himself together and 'bandage' himself up. Now however he wondered if there was a point to him trying to find his dragon...for he was sure if Keir didn't want to be found...he wouldn't find him. Being a newt he didn't have wings and that his bandaged was almost soaked threw with his own blood he had to think on what his objective was.
It was nothing more then luck that had him flying over the very one that he was looking for as he made his way from his place to where Chath lived, he saw him but it took a time for him to register it in his mind... and then he was whirling around so that he could go back, then circled down toward where the newt was sitting on a stone bench. As he got closer to the ground his wings fluttered so that he could land in front of Chath. He was quiet for a long moment as he looked him over, studying him, then gave a soft, sighing sound, "So he wasn't lying." He murmured, stepping closer, and reached a hand out toward the newt's shoulder before withdrawing it. He was sure that he didn't want the wound to be touched and given the look on his face he was sure that he might not want to be touched in general, "Chath... have you been to the hospital?" He asked of him, his tone that ever worried tone he got when he was around those that he wanted to take care of.
It was a moment later that Chath really seemed to register that Geia was there with him, another moment to realize that he was being asked a question. Looking up his dark eyes found Geia's a small smile lit his lips if only because how much his heart lifted just to see the owl boy. It faded when the question sank in. "Hospital?" He murmured looking at his bandage that looked nearly soaked through. Ah...yeah maybe he should of gone and done that....ah well. Giving a shrug and then regretting it he winced and shook his head. "Nah...at this point the bleeding has almost stopped. Besides...I am worried about Keir." At the mention of his dragons name he looked to the sky as if wondering if he may see his black dragon flying around up there. "And who wasn't lying?" He asked distractedly schooching over and patting the cement bench beside him so Geia could sit down with him.
Geia starred at the bloody bandage for a long moment, then sighed, "You should still have it looked at, aren't you worried about infection? I've seen the pool your dragon mucks around in." He murmured, Keir was a beast that like to lounge in a rather... filth ridden pool, he was sure that if some of that water, some of those germs, got into Chath's wounds that it would be something that he would have to worry about. Taking a step closer he couldn't help but to hover, "It might be a good idea to have it tended to, maybe get some antibiotics just in case?" He knew that Chath wasn't worried about him, it was as he said he was worried for Keir which meant that someone else was going to have to worry for Chath. Geia would be that someone since he loved him so much... and because it would seem that despite wandering around with a bloody bandage around his arm nobody around them was looking to worried... Jerks. The word was about as harsh as Geia got when it came to being upset with people.
Turning to look at his boyfriend the owl's ear tufts twitched as he was asked who wasn't lying. Should he pretend not to know? Should he make it up? Likely he should tell him the truth but if he did would Chath want to go and try to figure out where Keir was going from Baroness? That might end with him getting bitten again if the newt really annoyed the Wyvern... or worse she might stick him with that tail of hers given that she already knew from Keir that Chath tasted bad, "Ahh..." He couldn't lie to him, Geia didn't have it in him, "Keir wasn't lying. He was telling Baroness about how he bit you." He murmured finally as he came to sit down next to Chath, inspecting his bandage closely.
Perhaps it was because Chath was tired from his blood loss, it was hard to tell but he just didn't seem that worried about himself...maybe he took for granted his regeneration abilities...he had worse in the past. With a sigh he leaned on his knees then changed his mind as he renewed the fiery pain in his shoulder. "Don't worry..." He teased as he flexed his hand into a fist and flat again though wincing as he did so. "See? I can still make a fist..so no permanent damage.." He was either being stupidly brave or just stupid in general. With Chath it was always hard to tell.
He did however look surprised when Geia admitted to seeing or rather hearing Keir speak recently. "You saw him? Where? Baroness....??? Why would he..?" the newt sounded exasperated and flustered and very very confused. Why would Keir be having a conversation with Baroness???
Geia watched as Chath flexed his hand before giving a soft sighing sound, "Good, he made it sound a lot worse." He murmured, though maybe Keir just thought that he had done more damage then he really did? It did sort of sound it from what the dragon had been saying. He watched the newt more closely before he nodded, "Yeah, he came to visit her after his run in with you. They spoke for a time before he left... Chath... you're looking for him, aren't you?" He was a little surprised since he would think that the newt might be upset with the dragon for attacking him in such a manner... it also worried him. Chath was searching for Keir, Keir didn't think Chath wanted him and was running away... did that mean that Chath would just keep searching forever with the wound he was given? His wings gave a little flutter behind him before he looked around a moment then back, "I wish I had thought to bring Vorel along." He mused to himself. If the Frost was here he could have made Vorel carry Chath for him but he had flown off without a word, so worried for Chath that he hadn't even thought about telling anyone. Oops, he should probably call home here shortly.
Chath licked his upper lip slowly as if her was parched for water, at the idea of water he reached for his spray bottle and misted himself a bit, the wheel in his head turning slowly as the information was given to him. Nodding his head slowly he glanced back up at the sky again. " Yes...I am. Things got out of hand and I am sorry it went so far. But he has to learn that he isn't the boss of me..I live my life how I want to and if I want to be with you then he has to deal with the fact I am gay." He stated the word sounding a bit..jarring as he said it out loud. He had never really announced himself gay...but dating Geia made it a bit obvious didn't it? "I am starting to wonder if he is homophobic..." He laughed a bit wincing s he did so. "O..kay maybe I should stop by a clinic or something...I feel exhausted." The newt sounded defeated he didn't want to give up searching for Keir but at the same time if he ran himself into the ground trying to find him then there would be no point looking for him.
"Think you could help me get to one?"
The owl couldn't help but to wince as Chath explained what it was that had started the fight between him and his dragon, it was because of the fact that Chath was with Geia? Well that and the fact that he was gay. Starring up at him his ear tufts gave another wiggle before he nodded his head, "I see." He murmured, he thought that his dragon was homophobic, did he? It might make sense, the dragon never had been to keen on the fact that the two of them were together. He had made it clear on many occasions but to go as far as to bite his partner... still, he felt a little bad for Keir. He was currently worrying that Chath would no longer trust him or that he could no longer go home because of what happened. It made him wonder if the dragon really did love his boy even if he didn't realize it... or at least whatever the black dragon equivalent of love might be, something along the lines of possessiveness he figured from the way that Keir acted.
Geia gave a bit of a smile, "Yes, you should get to a clinic." He agreed, that the newt was at least understanding in that fact made him smile. He didn't want for him to stress himself out to the point that he collapsed, especially given that Geia was alone and there was no way that he would be able to carry Chath anywhere even if he tried his best. The newt was bigger then he was, taller, heavier, and it would be tough to get him anywhere under his power alone, "Let me figure out where the closest one is then we will head out, alright? You can lean on me if you need to, I will do my best to keep you up." He said, reaching into his pocket to get out his phone and used it to search for the closest hospital or clinic that was closest to him. After a moment he nodded, tucked his phone away, the pushed up to his feet, "Alright, let's go." He said, giving him a smile and offered him a hand up.
