Name
Hi! My name's Iris! Iris Lixiss! What's yours?
Gender
I'm a girl, silly!
Age
Almost eighteen, but not yet.
Species
Human. Though, always wished to be a star.
Occupation
The tightrope walker of Circo Nelle Stelle! It's a dream come true!!
Appearance
I'm a little short for my age, only at five foot something, but that's okay. The stars in the sky are small too. I have green hair, but I cut it short. A lot of kids used to pull on it to see if it was really made out of vegetables. I got used to it, and it's a lot easier to cover my left eye. See, I can't see. Hee hee... But one eye is more than enough to walk the tightrope! Heck, I've done it blind-folded before!
Because my hair is such a nice colour, I wear eye shadow the same shade. It's hard to see, but I also have a little bit of stage make-up below my good eye. Four little dots, getting smaller and smaller as they reach my tear ducts. My eyes are the same yellow colour. A bit of red rouge on my cheeks, and my make-up is complete!
My costume is a green tutu with a white top, two red roses near my hip and one at my chest. Two white sleeves with green puffs, two rings with even more red roses on them, and two pretty white shoes with little roses on top of them. Finally, a green umbrella with a white handle is my only prop for the show. I don't mind if the outfit is a little exposed, I'm used to the cold by now.

Personality
I'm the sort that won't stay down in the dumps for long. I'm always smiling or laughing about something. I don't get angry often, unless someone else is teasing me about my hair. It's natural... and not made of grass...
When I was younger, I used to cry a lot because others would always laugh at me and never with me. I know I'm not the smartest, the strongest, or anything, but I still try. I can't help it. After seeing my dream for the first time, I couldn't keep on worrying about everything down here. Not when the stars are way up there, waiting for me.
You might call me a dreamer, but that only tells me that you've lost your own dreams.
Abilities
Does my umbrella count as a weapon? Because I never leave my tent without it. I have pretty good balance, and.. Oh! I may not look it, but I'm a pretty good fighter too! The kids in my town would always tease me and bully me, so I've learned how to throw a few punches and rocks and how to kick in all the right spots.
Weaknesses
Though, I'm still a small girl. If I do get into fights I can't win or run from... Well, that hasn't happened yet, so no worries.
People are always calling me gullible, but is it a crime to trust people? Hm... And people are always calling me "not the sharpest tool in the shed." I know I'm not a tool... am I?
Backstory
I was born with this green hair. To other people, it's unnatural. Though, I guess they don't know what the word 'natural' means. Kids would always chase after me calling me grass-head or alien. Everyday when I came back home, I was always crying with cuts and bruises on more than just my knees and elbows. Even when all the other kids wouldn't play with me, I wasn't lonely. Whenever I got home, my grandpa would be there. We'd play games like checkers, though I never got a hang of the bishops and castles flying all around the board.
When I was seven, the circus came to town. I didn't care for it, but my grandpa thought it would be a good idea to go outside for a change, since I began to resent the great outdoors and anything green. I thank him every time I see grandpa and his grave. It was there I discovered something grand...
There were tigers and lions and bears! Magic tricks where things would disappear and pop up somewhere else! But the highlight of the show was the tightrope walk. We were seated right at the top of the bleachers. It was hard to see, but for the finale, it was perfect. The man climbed the ladder up, up to the rope and there, he began. Flips, pirouettes... He was dancing up there. We went during the day, but the big tent had many holes and rips on the top, the light looking like stars. The man looked like he was flying with the stars. I wanted to be with him. I wanted to dance with him. I just had to get closer, so I asked my grandpa if I could sit on his shoulders. It wasn't good enough. That day, I made my mind that I would become a tightrope walker just like that man and one day, dance in the stars with him. When I told my grandpa, he laughed and said he'd like to watch me dance one day then.
He died within the decade. He didn't watch me dance, but that's okay. My grandpa liked taking walks at night with me, where no one was out but the stars. He became a star, the one right below the moon. The moon's always moving, but my grandpa would always follow it. The moon'll be my spotlight one day, when I'm ready to dance with the stars and that man.
I suppose it was after he died when I began to fight back the other kids. Boys always fall to their knees after one good kick. They didn't bother me anymore after a few kicks.
I began training to tightrope walk once all the kids really left me alone. I would practice on ropes hung between trees, and had to learn the hard way just how to walk. But I got real good after a lot of practising and falls. One day, my neighbour was at my house because of her mom and saw me walking. I guess I became cool to them after I let them watch me practice. It was a good thing, else I might have gotten stage fright later on when I would practice on the real deal.
A few months ago, I told my parents I was leaving home to join a circus and become a tightrope walker. They sighed and nodded their heads. They said they had given all hope on me a long time ago, but I responded back that I still had hope. They only sighed again and this time shook their heads. They gave me a farewell, hugs and kisses, and I was off to look for the nearest circus, which happened to be Circo Nelle Stelle. Stelle! That means stars, so I just knew this had to be the right place for me!
Facts
I lost my sight after one of the older kids kicked my head too hard... Just kidding! I was born this way... Hee hee... I'm lying again!
My grandpa once told me that white lies are really just stories that don't hurt anyone, so I'm always making up new stories to how I lost my eye.
... Don't tell anyone, but I think all the guys here are really handsome. Oh, that sounds weird... They're all so much older than me...
