The young adult backpacker passed by a group of trainers all hoping for a chance to win a Fire Stone. Gabriel had no interest in one but was looking for more battle experience and wondered if maybe someone would be looking for a practice battle before entering the competition. He almost talked to three people, but every time he chickened out, of course he managed to start up a conversation with the vendor selling water, a Ranger , and even a police officer , but to actually ask for a battle .... Gabriel appeared to be developing some issues.
So he stood on the sidelines and watched the event almost get started. His numels by his side Ko on the left, and Muso on the right. Gabriel kept getting asked if he was going to enter but he shook his head and brushed off the idea of him joining.
Ko could smell some delicious payapa berry fruit leather, that had just been put out for people to buy. She stuck her hooves out and pointed in the direction, then bobbed her head up and down. Gabriel smiled "fine ... we can go look ... but if it’s out of our price range ... no fussing ok " He looked in the eyes. The numel stuck her tongue out and nodded her head. Gabriel smiled some and patted her on the head.
They walked over to the vendor; there was a small line now. Gabriel waited, as the numels sat on the earthy ground patiently.

Faline looked around her in disbelief. What in the world was going on? This island was half desert, she couldn’t fathom why so many trainers would choose to be there, she wouldn’t even be there if not for the rumors of Flareons having been spotted on the island. A snort from her side caused her to look down at the Umbreon standing next to her. Shade had flicked his sunglasses so that they actually sat in front of his eyes as he surveyed the humans.
A flash of purple out of the corner of her eye drew her from her thoughts. Her Espeon was waving her tail happily as she munched on a poffin. “Aura where did you get that?” Faline asked already knowing the answer. She was looking forward to the day they made pokemon poof backpacks. Fragments of a nearby conversation saved the thief from being scolded.
Firestone, that one word was all it took to completely captor Faline’s attention. If there were firestones about then there was a good chance the rumors were true. Stone evolved pokemon wouldn’t help her parent’s research but that didn’t mean she couldn’t look into things. But first she’d need to do something about her hungry team.

Once in line Gabriel checked out what they had for sale. Luckily the fruit leather was cheep for Ko, Gabriel also bought some pokemon food since Rockfall island seemed to be scares on the wild berries. He chatted with the woman a bit, he wanted to learn how to make fruit leather. He charmed the elder working the booth. She told him to wait for the competition to start then she would would write down some tips and show him what she could. Sooo after buying some snack and food he waited around for the event to start.
Ko looked at Gabriel and then back at Muso "He got us some payapa berry fruit leather, well he got me some ... he must of gotten you something else" she stated. Muso stuck his tongue out "I don't really care, as long as we have something to eat" he bobbed his tan head up and down.
When Gabriel got to them , he handed out the leathers. Of course he had bought extra for later on. The numles ate there food happily and Gabriel sat down on the earthy train with his buddies enjoying seeing all the trainers. He once agine decided to wait on battling and enjoy the day.
