Kandii's eyes shot open as he heard a loud knocking at his door. Laying there for a moment, he wondered to himself who would be knocking let alone at this hour. Most of the visitors to his home were there during more nocturnal hours. As he slid from his bed, he pulled his pants on, calling out across his small apartment. "Coming, hold on." his voice rather disturbed and dull. Not nearly as upbeat as he normal sounded. He was in the middle of trying to put a dirty, ratty t-shirt on as he went to answer, catching his hands and slamming his body against the door. "Dammit this better be good." he sneered as he flung the door open, sliding his shirt down over his head in surprise.
"Oh. Hey DJ. You're ears must have been burning! I was just thinking about you." realistically he thought as he looked at the clock, that was three hours ago. Leaning against the door frame he smiled at her, "Couldn't resist me eh?" his tone was much more relaxed and casual, then the grumpy yelling he had belted out earlier. "Wont you come in?" he said, almost bowing, holding his hand out pointing towards the couch. "Can I get you something to drink? Whiskey? Rum? Vodka? Juice? Water?" he called out as he entered his kitchen.

she followed him in and sat down on the couch " um... just some water please." she says sounding somewhat more subdued than usual she looked around the room while waiting for him to return and heaved a sigh, she was feeling nervous, and sort of queasy, but she couldn't chicken out now, she was here, and she had to tell him. She took a few deep breath to try and calm herself before he returned

Walking back into the room, he smiled, handing her the crisp cool bottle of water, twisting the cap for her before flopping down in the chair adjacent to her. His long legs, flipped over the arm of the chair. "So what brings you by? I wasn't expecting any visitors today. Not that I mind, actually I'm happy you came by. I was thinking about you earlier." Kandii paused, cracking open his water bottle, flicking the cap to the floor as he chugged it.

DJ takes a few small sips then sets her water down "um well... i needed to tell you something, and you hadn't called or anything.... and it couldn't wait, so i decided to come here myself.... well.. um, i-im going to have kits...." she says and trails off, suddenly finding the floor to be very interesting

"Kits sound good, I think a good drum kit in the club could be a nice addition if your going to start holding concerts." he said without even making a gesture. His mind was where it always was, Music. Though as he sat there he looked over at her, thinking hard, she was barely touching her water. "Though why tell me your getting kits? Isn't that something to discuss with your managers?"

DJ stares at him with a dumbfounded look on her face "......what? no! i mean like actual kits, not music kits." she says looking like shes moments away from smacking him with one of her glowsticks, surely he couldent really be that stupid? he must be makeing a joke she thought incredulously

He choked, water forcing its way back up his throat as he looked at her with a look of mixed pain, shock and confusion. "Kits...like...little crying balls of fluff..." Silence had taken a hold of him. Not sure of what to say next. Pulling himself upright, he sat there with his arms between his legs, fiddling with the straps on his pants. "So....kits...." he was stuck on that. His mind racing with thought of mild excitement and happiness and sadness. Complete and utter sadness. Standing he walked into the kitchen, coming back out with a bottle of vodka. Twisting the cap off and putting it to his lips, chugging.
"So...kits...wow...what..should we do?"

DJ shrugs seeming to be more herself and gives him an intense look " well, thats up to you. ive already decided what ill do, im going to raise them to the best of my ability, if you want to be a part of that then great, but if you don't, then thats fine too, you can go on doing whatever it is you do, i can do it myself, but if i don't have to that would be great." she says betraying no emotion one way or the other

He was taken back a little. Unsure of how to handle the situation. He was looking towards her for reaction. Anything would have helped him and yet she seemed very stern, cold on the subject. "Well...I get that...I do, but honestly do you really want me around? I mean you seem rather set that you can handle this...Can you?" Standing, he made his way over to the couch, flopping gently beside her.

she sighs and looks down at the carpet again " i do want you around... but i know i can do it on my own if i have to. truth is.... im kinda scared of the whole situation. i mean, a month ago, i was completely carefree, no worries at all, and now im supposed to be responsible, y'know? i barely know what 'responsible' means!" she says with a sigh

Nodding a little, he slowly, yet cautiously placed his arm around her, slowly moving his hand up and down her arm. "Hey don't talk so down about yourself. Your much more responsible than I am. I mean you run your own club, your making your own decisions and are planning ahead. I think that's very responsible. I know I'm not much help, but I'll help out the best I can. I mean when they come, I guess I can forgo.." he paused making a small scrunch in his face, "clubbing for a bit so you can work..."
