ok, i dont have DDR at home, and i have never played DDR in an arcade but i really want to get it. since my parents are letting me get it this weekend i was wondering if stores like Target, EB Games, or any store that sells games sell good pads. should i go out and buy DDR Max2 at the store and buy a pad too, or order the pad off a website?

Ok. here's what u do. Don't get max 2. get extreme 2... better... also get the Red Octane version 3.0 pad. best non-metal pad out there. if u want a metal pad, get a cobalt flux. it might set u back a bit but its worth it.

Has everyone forgotten about the Afterburner?

Definitely get Extreme 2, and if you've got a spare $200, get an Afterburner pad (second only to the Cobalt Flux as far as metal pads go) from Red Octane. If you don't have the money for the pad though, I've heard Ignition 3.0's are pretty good.

yeah when it comes to plastics, DEFINITELY get the Red Octane. My pads have survived 3 years of wear, and still look almost brand new
