Behind the scenes is where the real drama is.
Backstage, there are the men's and women's dressing rooms, the prop room, costume storage, and the music room.

The light and soundbooth is the base of operations for the techies.
"The booth" - as it's called by everyone at the theatre - contains the sound and light boards, which control all the light and sound effects for the show.

Anja reviewed her mental list of tasks as she walked into the theater: first, make sure all the sound and light equipment was working, then fix one of the costumes that had had a seam rip last time it was used, and another dress needed the embroidery fixed, and then their 'town' background had a small white line where someone had accidentally scraped a prop against it, and finally she had find out which play they were rehearsing today, and make copies of the script. Into the booth she went, turning each of the lights on and off; mostly okay, there was one that looked slightly dim over the audience, but it wasn't Anja's job to replace it, so she wrote a note to owner, whenever they decided to show up.

After that, she headed backstage; she'd wait until people were here to do the sound test. Painting wasn't necessarily something she was good at, so she went for costume storage first. The first was the male shirt that had an opened seam under the arm. Anja turned it inside out, and did a quick straight seam where the hole was, and another zigzagging one to ensure it would hold. She hadn't yet convinced them to get a serger, but she supposed it was a good thing that their costumes didn't rip often enough to warrant it. Next was the dress that need re-remboried, which she did not look forward to: for one, it had to be done by hand, and for two, handling anything outside your own time period was a giant pain in the a**. She sighed to herself, for this could take hours if done wrong, but sat down and began the tedious process.

Surprised by the appearance of their female, orange-haired musician, Violet straightened up slightly and tossed her trash away, having finished it just before the ginger-headed girl appeared. She put on her sweetest smile as she replied, "Thanks, cutie." As she sauntered into the theatre, the dancer took Amelia's hand and flashed her a flirtacious wink, cooing, "It sure is a good morning now that you're here~" Although she had no idea where the musician was supposed to be for today, Violet's destination was the dressing room. Being that she rather liked Amelia's hand in hers, the young brown-eyed girl found herself leading the other to the woman's dressing room.

Entering the small-ish room, she let go of Amelia's hand and set her bag on one of the counters. As she began to dig through it, Violet requested off-handedly, "Hey, 'Melia, could you turn on the make-up lights?" How else was she supposed to see? The regular lights were hardly bright enough, and the bulbs that dotted the mirrors were much more useful to her at the moment. Humming under her breath, Violet found her jazz shoes, and with an air of reluctant removed her sexy heels in favor of more comfortable dancing shoes. Although the heels were definitely more stylish, it would be stupid to try dancing in them, especially when her routines were very involved. Brushing any smudges off of her soft jazz shoes, Violet stepped back and looked at herself in the mirror. Smiling in satisfaction, the dancer hung up her jacket. Although it was windy outside, the temperature in the theatre was rather pleasant. Besides, she would quickly become warm while she danced.

Taking some make-up from her purple bag, Violet flashed the other girl a kittenish smile through the mirror as she asked, "So what're you doing today, hun?" To be honest, she was really quite interested. Violet had never been musically inclined with instruments, and musicians both fascinated her and inspired her. She greatly admired Amelia's and Theo's work. She went about fixing her make-up, as Amelia had been a helpful girl and assisted her with the lights. "Thank you, my dear," Violet said sweetly, giving a grateful little shake of her hips.

Amelia smiled back at the dancer as they made their way into the theatre. "You're welcome," she managed to get out before Violet grabbed her hand and dragged her off in a certain direction. The musician wasn't sure where they were headed yet, but she wasn't about to stop the older women. Amelia just figured that Violet needed her help with something. Listening to the other's words, the ginger's face started to heat up a bit. She never really got to talk to the dancer much, so she wasn't use to the compliments. The only person that Amelia ever really talked to was Theo, and their conversations were mainly about work. Yeah, the ginger knew that she really needed to get out more.

Making their way into the women's dressing room, Amelia felt Violet let go on her hand. the musician just stood there, waiting for the dancer to tell her something. The ginger didn't want to leave cause she figured that Violet lead her into the rom for a reason, most likely for some help. Hearding the question, Amelia walked over and turned on the light like the other asked her to. Shuffling back into the spot she was previously in, theUser Image musician watched the dancer change her shoes. Amelia always admired Violet's dancing ability, finding it amazing that the older female could move around the stage so effortlessly. The musician had two left feet when it came to dancing, so that was one of the reasons why she decided to play an instrument.

Watching as Violet started to touch up her make-up, Amelia held on tighter to her flute case. She wasn't as girly as most females in that she never wore make-up, not even foundation. the ginger was just never that intereted in putting on make-up, plus she felt like it would take too long or something. Even though she didn't like it on herself, Amelia couldn't help but notice how nice Violet's brown eyes looked with her eyeshade. 'Did she do that on purpose?' she wondered before straigthening up a bit when she heard the other speak again. "I'm supposed to practice over some pieces with Theo," she replied, feeling her purse falling down and pulling back up onto her shoulder. She hadn't seen the male musician at all this morning, so she wasn't sure when the man would make it to work. Amelia would probably just sit in the music room and wait for Theo to show up. She might even practice a bit while she waited. "No problem," she stated, smiling over at Violet. "What about you?" she asked, feeling kind of stupid at the moment. Amelia knew that the other was probably going to dance on stage the entire time, but she just felt obligate to ask.

Looking around the room, Amelia felt like she should keep talking for some reason, probably because they were all alone and she didn't want awkward silences. "Have you seen Theo today?" she got out, not really sure what to say exactly. Yeah, Amelia was usally full of fail around people that she found attractive. Why else would she only talk to Theo about work related things! Even since Amelia started liking women too, being around people became awkward for her. "How did you learn how to dance so well? Cause you are the best dancer I knew," she said, just saying the first things that came into her head. Looking up at the clock, the musician frowned a bit before talking to violet again, "When do you have to start warming up? Cuase I don't want to keep you or anything."
