Nurse Joy was doing her daily duties in the local Hospital. Tending to each patient, whether it was fluffing up their pillows or giving shots. It was a normal day. There was not too many patients to tend to, but, she got her share of helping today. Joy stood in the ER, where a little boy sat upon the examining table, clutching onto his own arm. He appeared injured from a skateboard accident, Joy deciphered. It was a bit obvious, due to his protection pads were still strapped to his limps and his helmet was still on his head. His mother stood nearby, a worried emotion wiped across her middle aged face. She stared at her son, her hand to her lips. Joy noticed that she was chewing her fingernails with her teeth, scared and anxious. A small smile was planted upon the Audino's glistening glossed lips. The little boy upon the table was blushing embarrassingly, perhaps because he was embarrassed of how his own mother smothered him over the littlest of things. She appeared to be one who would hear a single cough out of her son's chest and would think it was some horrible disease. Not the most optimistic mother. Her eyes returned to her young patient and with a warm, inviting smile, she said, "Okay, I am going to check if your wrist is broken, okay? It might hurt a bit." Her voice was reassuring and sweet, the perfect tone for a nurse. The nurse's gentle hands removed the hand that clutched onto his wrist, and examined it. She noticed his face wince and small whimpers escape his lips. Poor fella.

Joy looked to him, where her sweet smile was still in place.
"It's not broken. Just a sprain. You're gonna be fine," she reassured. Immediately, a relieved sigh came from the mother. Joy glanced in her direction, seeing her hand rest on her chest, as if she was about ready to have a heart attack. The nurse straightened herself and turned upon the heel of her cream colored boot. She walked towards the cabinets and drawers, which hosted all the compartments of where they kept every item needed for minor injuries: from band aids to gauze. Joy's latex gloved hand curled around the handle of a drawer, pulling it from the cabinet. Within seconds, she whipped out bandages used to wrap a sprained limb. Her quickness of accessing her own supplies was impressive, since she familiarized and memorized where each supply was stored. The nurse turned upon her heel and returned to her patient. With gentle hands, she took his arm once more, and began to wrap the bandages around his arm, tightly, but not too tight. Once wrapped perfectly, she pinned them in place and handed the little boy a lollipop. "Just keep this on for a few days till it heals, 'kay?" she ordered sweetly. The boy nodded and thanked her. The mother wrapped her arms around her son, relieved that her son wasn't too injured. Joy giggled. It was sweet how mothers were so connected to their sons, smothering them with so much love and worry. It was cute. As the two left, she waved goodbye to them both. Oh, how Joy enjoys healing people. But every once in a while, she gets bored or frustrated with her patients or doctors.

Edan was being dragged in every which direction as the automated doors slid open, his friends pulling him into the chilled hospital waiting room quite obviously against his will. "Ow! You bastards!" he yelled at them, and damn any one that wanted to stare (and of course they did). "Lemme go!" he huffed, jerking his arm away only to end up clutching it in pain, wincing, he'd just snatched his arm away from his friend and unfortunately for him it was the arm he'd fallen on that had made him end up here in the first place. <********> he muttered but before he could even cope with further hurting himself, again out of his own stubbornness, his friends forced him to the front desk where a receptionist had been watching the teenager as he'd pitched a fit coming in hospital.

"Can you take care of our friend here? He fell off my porch and we think he probably broke his arm." said one of the vulpix's so-called friends that had forced him to come here. "I said I'm fine! I just need some ice." he fussed at his friend, who was now filling out a form for him to get looked at. "Shut up, Edan." the other friend snapped back, sticking his tongue out childishly at the ill-tempered red-head. This put a scowl on the vulpix's face but as the receptionist sent for a nurse he knew it was already too late to put up any more of a fight and accepted his fate, simply muttering hateful words towards his friends as they bid him farewell. "We're out, call if you need me to come pick you up. See ya later." said one of his companions and soon the three of them had disappeared, out the doors they'd come in.

Really, the vulpix probably had every reason to be seeing a doctor. Edan didn't like having to go to hospitals or even having doctor visits at all for anything less than life threatening. He wanted to just tough it out, no matter what problem he had, but this time the accident had happened while hanging out at his friend and band-mates house. They'd been goofing off on his porch (which was fairly high off the ground), and the vulpix had pulled himself up on the railing to sit but when he tried to reposition himself he'd fallen. He'd flipped over during the fall and tried to catch himself, only to end up slamming his arm into the ground. It really did sting like hell but he would be the last one to admit that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nurse Joy made way to the receptionist counter, where a few women sat, sitting in their scrubs, which was pointless, due to them hardly ever going into the medical field and assisting. They sat around all day, missing the action in the Hospital. In all honesty, they weren't very enjoyable or likeable. They were snotty and disrespectful to the nurses and doctors. They thought they were so superior because they have office chairs that they can sit in all day long. But, Joy tried to get on their good side, so she wasn't assigned to the disgusting, filthy jobs, such as sponge baths and changing out bedpans. Yuck. The Audino's boot heels clicked against the chilled tile floor. Her arm wrapped around a clipboard, with forms informing her about her patients. Her eyes were focused upon her clipboard, rather than where she was going. Joy memorized each detail of the form of each patient, so she had a clear understanding of what was going on. As she read, A few of the higher doctors of the hospital was walking towards her, and one was with a mug of steaming hot coffee. Within moments, her clipboard hit something ahead of her, which sent a male doctor shrieking and yelping in pain. Joy looked up, and saw what she had done. A dark brown liquid stained his scrubs, and burned his skin. Joy winced slightly from the sight of immense pain. "Uh...I....I am sooo sorry!" she stammered apologetically. But her voice wasn't audible compared to this man's screaming. Before she got yelled at or anything, Joy hurriedly escape the scene, and resumed on her way to the receptionist corner. A small smile was upon her face, as she snickered to herself of her little accident. She was somewhat proud of her "accident." The doctor she spilled coffee on was a douche. He always hit on the nurses and would immediately break their hearts. Luckily, she wasn't one of them. Joy thought of him as one of those doctors in those soap operas, the one who is supposed to be the handsome, charming, seductive doctors who has affairs with multiple nurses. Joy thought it was just sickening and gross. As the Audino approached the counter, she noticed a punked up ginger male, yelling at the top of his lungs as he struggled out of his friends' clutches. It appeared as if he was dragged here against his will, restraining from ever coming here. Joy smirked. Many patients were like him, being stubborn and denying their own injury was bad enough that it needed to be tended by a doctor. Just a few days ago, a teenage girl was screaming and throwing tantrums about having to get her flu shot. She would shove doctors and nurses against the wall and try to make her escape. It was quite amusing to Joy. It added a little excitement to her day.

Joy glanced at one of the receptionists, who was a bidoof, and gave her a heartwarming smile, hoping to get a new patient that was to her own liking.
"Hi, Carey. So....got any new patients for me? By the way, I love what you have done with your hair!" she said, in her most sweetest voice. A little sucking up won't hurt. The bidoof looked up at her through her thick glasses and nodded. "Yup. Your patient is just being signed in," replied the receptionist, while pointing to the red headed vulpix with her pencil. Joy glanced at her new patient, seeing a stubborn, piss pants who was clutching onto his arm. Another possible broken arm? Jeeze. Is there a broken arm festival occurring near by? She looked back to the bidoof as she transferred the forms of her patient to her. Joy glanced at the paperwork, taking note of his name and how he broke his arm. Joy glanced back to the Bidoof and whispered to her, "Um...can I get a different patient? This one...looks as if he is ready to throw a fit." The bidoof didn't bother to look at the nurse, but instead stared at her computer screen, clicking away at her mouse as she replied, "Nope. Sorry. He's your patient now. Well, its either him or a sponge bath with Mister Sleep-away-fatso." The Audino recalled Mr. Snorus, a large Snorlax patient. He was unbelievably obese. He had layers of fat rolling off his body. He was truly disgusting. And sponge baths with him weren't very enjoyable. Joy feared of falling into his fat and being lost underneath his flaps. Never to be seen again. Chills ran down her spine and she clipped the papers to her clipboard, muttering to herself irritably, "Fine."

A smile reappeared upon the nurse's face as she approached the injured Vulpix. She wasn't really into challenges with patients. She liked simple tasks rather than wrestling down a full grown male to the hospital bed. She had to just suck it up and be a man, unless she wanted to clean the humongous male. No, anything but that. She heard of what he did to another nurse. As he rolled over during his sponge bath, he snatched the wrist of one of the nurses who were cleaning him and he tried to smooch her. Yuck. Joy did not want that happening to her. So this was the only outlet. Joy returned to the real world rather than with her thoughts. She looked to the red head, her glistening blue eyes shimmered beneath the LED lighting. Her eyes were nearly hypnotizing, and gave off a sense of warmth and comfort. The corners of her mouth were pulled into a smile, a fake one. But no one could tell the difference between her sweet, friendly smile and her fake smile. She was truly worried that he might do something biserk or have a tantrum in the middle of the waiting room. But, Joy wanted him to relax, further tension would harm his arm even further. And a kind face and a gentle look might help the patient to give them comfort.
"Hi, Edan. I'm Nurse Joy. So you have a broken arm? Okay, so come with me so we can get x-rayed," she said with such sweetness. She guided Edan to one of the vacant rooms where x-rays and examinations were held. Hopefully, he won't disobey or cause a riot out of stubbornness and immaturity.

Edan's eyes had fallen down to his arm, the one that he'd fallen on to. It was easily visible that it was bruised, it had become pretty swollen as well but that red head refused to acknowledge that it looked bad, instead telling himself that it was probably just a sprain or something and that his friends and blown it out of proportion. He was frowning at the sight of the so-called injury when he was pulled from his thoughts by the nurse that was apparently assigned to deal with him. He looked up from his arm fairly quickly to meet a pair of big blue eyes, he gave a bit of a shrug, still stubbornly refusing to admit that his arm might be broken.

"I don't think it's that bad.." he said very matter-of-factly, his grayish eyes falling back down to look at the bruised skin, "..probably just freaked my friends out..they're wusses like that." he added with a small smile, almost a laugh, before looking back up to the nurse. The woman was acting way too friendly, he was almost sure she'd seen him pitching a fit when he'd entered the hospital. He was pretty sure that she was just being nice to him because she had to be. 'Whatever.' he thought to himself, deciding not to say anything about it, and instead just being compliant.

"Well let's get this over with then." the vulpix said before motioning for the nurse to lead the way, "I'm sure we both have better things to do." he added, still insisting that his arm wasn't that bad off, regardless of the fact that it seemed to be getting more swollen the longer he went without putting ice on it. He really hoped this wouldn't keep him from playing his bass, it had better heal fast were his thoughts on the matter if that was the case.

Nurse Joy met a pair of stubborn, slate gray eyes. She watched as his shoulders gave a bit of a shrug as he denied verbally that his arm was broken. She chuckled at his excuses and his denial. She watched as his gray optics glanced down to his swollen, bruises, broken arm, and her eyes were directed to it as well. She couldn't help but smile less fakingly. A small chuckled escaped her glossed lips. It was quite amusing how he tried to stuck it up and "be a man." But even grown men whimper at their own broken limbs. The pain must be stinging him like heck. Joy's eyes returned to Edan's own optics.
"Well, by the looks of your arm, it kinda looks like you have a broken arm," she said with a know-it-all tone, with a hint of snarkiness. She was the nurse, he was the patient. To be honest, she has seen a wide variety of broken and sprained body parts in her life as a nurse. She could easily tell the difference between a sprain and a broken limb. She was known to be the Princess of Broken Bones. It was one of the few things that she was good at as a nurse.

"Okay, right this way," she said in a light tone, guiding him from ahead. A small chuckled escaped her lips as he added something to his response. "Haha. Right. I have something so much better than a patient with a broken arm. I could give a four hundred pound man a sponge bath who likes to give surprise attack make out sessions with the nurses," she said in a humorous, sarcastic tone, hoping to get him to smile or something. Nurse Joy glanced to her patient and gave him a smile. It was the nurses' responsibility to make her patient comfortable and welcome. Everything was painted in a tacky creamy peach color with pink accents. It was kinda gross, but it matched her appearance. She gave a heavy sigh and guided her patient inside. "So...you will sit here and I will get you prepped for an x-ray," she said in a kind tone. She twirled upon her heel and made her way to the door. Her head poked out of it and she called upon one of the nurses, "Can I get some ice over here?" In moments, a female dragonair entered the room, carrying a few ice packs. Quickly, Joy took the packs of ice and brought them to Edan. Her gentle hands pried his hand from his arm and placed the ice upon his bare arm. "Now, to reduce swelling, we are going to ice it down," she informed the vulpix. The Audino smirked to him and looked at his freckled face.

Joy's eyes rested upon the mesh top that was upon his torso, concealing nothing. It exposed his pale skin and his fit torso. His figure was outlined with hundreds of freckles. It was kinda interesting to see how many freckles one person can have. And this man had a lot. Joy stretched her free hand to the drawer, her fingertips grazing the supplies and feeling for each one. She finally found what she needed and pulled out a pair of scissors. She neared it toward Edan's shoulder, where there was the sleeve of the mesh top.
"I'm going to have to cut this sleeve. The sleeve is going to increase the pain unless I remove it," she informed him. Joy always had to narrate and inform the patient of what she was doing. That way, they would know what is going on and understand why she has to do this. Within moments, she snipped the threads that held the top in place by the shoulder. But his top remained upon his chest. The Audino thought it was kinda pointless to wear a mesh top. It didn't cover anything and it didn't keep him warm. So it was only for the fashion? Odd. Her hand with the scissors replaced the shears back into their residing spot in her drawer. Then, she returned to icing his swollen, broken arm. "So how did you break yer arm?" she asked, her voice curious. She wanted to have small talk with him...it might get his mind off of the pain.

( edited. and I finally have art for her. ;D )

[[Just tryin' to get his clothes off! I see what you did there xD lol jkz she's cute as a button~]]

Edan frowned as he saw the nurse examining his arm, determining that it was broken from her experience. He still refused to admit that it was as bad as it looked though, stubbornly insisting that he would have been fine with or without hospital care. "I guess it doesn't matter..would've gotten better eventually." he assured her and himself, now finding it hard to look at her big blue eyes as he tried to downplay his injury, instead looking off to a nearby wall.

Regardless of his feelings towards the injury though, he was already checked in and so decided to comply, somewhere in that thick skull he probably knew it was better for him anyway, following along behind Joy with nothing more than a light nod, with his head down as he listened to her. He couldn't help but to release a quiet laugh when she spoke of her 'alternative' to caring for him. "I guess you make a good point.." he said in response as she set him to have his arm x-rayed, "..but if I were one of those nurses I'd have knocked his teeth in."

Soon after that, she was calling for another nurse to bring something to ice his arm, that was at least reassuring. While her head was poked out the door, he'd begun rubbing his free hand over the broken arm, cringing at the touch, but just instinctively wanting to see how bad it was. "Nng.." he pouted with a glare towards the broken limb at which point Joy had returned with the ice pack. He just responded with a light shrug when she explained that she'd be cutting his sleeve off, he figured she may as well it wasn't like he didn't cut them up to ribbons anyway.

"Well, I was being an idiot and fell off a porch, crashed right into my arm." he admitted, knowing how stupid it was to have been sitting on the railing in the first place but in all honesty, he would probably do it again after his arm healed. He didn't pause to hear her response to the quick answer though, instead shooting out a question for her, "So do you fake it with everyone or are you genuinely a friendly girl?" he asked bluntly, though not harshly, in pure curiosity; most women that acted kindly had a reason for doing such, and a job as a nurse seemed as good an excuse as any.

The response from Edan of how he received his broken arm was typical. It was a simple explanation. She could tell how he broke his own arm from falling off a porch. Well, there is always sitting on the railing of the porch and flipping backwards. There is also roughhousing and where you can lose your balance and fall off the porch. Nurse Joy smirked at the word "idiot." It seemed like an idiotic move to break your arm from falling from a porch. She chuckled lightly. "Nice," she said sarcastically and yet, playfully. Her hand continued to ice the swollen, broken arm. She occasionally checked on his arm, to check the reduction of swelling. So far, it was going good. She could see improvement in his arm.

Then, Edan asked a question that caught Joy off guard. She froze for a few moments, then sighed softly. Her baby blue eyes glanced to the freckled, red headed male with slate gray eyes. How did he know she was faking her kindness? She was a bit surprised by his question, but, she was willing to answer.
"I have to be nice and friendly. It's the nurse's oath. We are supposed to be friendly and sweet to every patient," she admitted, truthfully. She gave a small smile to Edan, a real one. One that wasn't faked. She noted his blunt tone, and how he was so curious as to her phony kindness. However, she could be friendly. She is friendly at most times. The Audino looked to the Vulpix with her sky blue optics. But she became less and less fake and phony. She wasn't quite pretending to be kind anymore. "Your arm's swelling has reduced. So we can get you x-rayed," she said with her sweet, light voice of sweetness.

Nurse Joy straightened her back and approached her cabinets, searching for an arm brace just for Edan. She shuffled and searched through the cabinets for the appropriate brace for an arm. She continued to search through her cabinets, bending down to the lower cabinets, and standing on the tips of her toes. She began to mutter to herself, asking herself or some other employee of the hospital under her breath, of where the location of the braces she kept was. Nurse Joy reluctantly found one and smiled beamingly with success. She approached Edan, removing the ice from his arm. She straightened his arm, keeping it erect. Then, she placed his arm within the brace. It was now stable and ready for X-rays. She looked to Edan with a smile and glistening blue eyes.
"We're gonna x-ray once its ready," she said, "But in the mean time, tell me about yourself." She was curious about Edan. She wanted to get to know him. She kinda likes getting to know her patients, so that they are able to trust her and recommend her for medical treatments.

( LOL. No. Not purposely. xD Gotta take yer clothes off to fix a broken arm! Or snip off the sleeve. Haha. Why thankies! )

Edan watched rather impatiently as the nurse tried to reduce the swelling, he wanted his arm to just get better right now, subconsciously he really hated any sign of weakness and just wanted this one to be over with. "I guess that's fair enough," he responded to her, with a light shrug of his free shoulder. "I don't think I could do it though..work in a job dealing with people that is. Just don't have patience for most people." he gave a soft bit of laughter, knowing full well that his temper would get him fired the first day if he ever worked as a nurse or doctor, or really any job of that ilk.

He was going to ask the audrino more about her job but before he could open his mouth, she told him that his arm was getting better, this made his grayish eyes drop down to look at the injury again. It still stung like hell but the swelling had reduced, he still insisted in his head though that it wasn't worth all the fuss but for now he just kept that thought to himself.

It seemed like Joy was struggling to find something but luckily, just when the red-head was about ready to get up to ask if he could help (completely disregarding the fact that he couldn't really move his arm), the nurse had seemed to find what she was after, now putting a brace on his arm. He winced as his arm was straightened into the brace, the shock of pain running up his arm, but he wouldn't allow himself anymore acknowledgment of the pain than the scrunching up of his face and the quiet seething. "Nn.." he glared down at the now braced arm, immediately mad at the limb for being difficult.

But that glare was short-lived as his attention was pulled back to Joy. "Uh.. I don't think there's really much to tell." he admitted, knowing that there were at least a dozen kids of his ilk, at least he thought so. "I play bass, I like music, and I do stupid s**t that makes my friends drag me to hospitals. What more is there that you'd care to know?" he said with a laugh and a shrug, never very good at introductions - or at meeting people for that matter.

While she had been clasping the brace around his arm, she noticed the pain in his face. She could tell how bad it must've felt just by looking at his face. Joy kinda pitied him. Stuck in his ways and mentally denying that his injury was as bad as it truly was. As he responded to her, she smiled. "Yea...it takes a lot of patience," she sighed, with a soft laugh following after. She could recall all the migraines she had to put up with because of the irritable and annoying patients. A few times, she nearly strangled her patients.Thank God there was tea in the staff cafeteria. It always soothed her. The audino listened to the vulpix intently as he said a few things about himself. She smirked at each one. "I figured you were in a band. You look like you would be," she chuckled. He had the rocker look going on, and it looked good on him. She could picture him being chased by fan girls and covered in groupies. Joy smirked at the thought. He must be pretty popular with the ladies...or men if that was what he preferred. "Well, your stupid s**t gets me paid. So, thanks," she replied with gratitude and humor. A small chuckle escaped her perfectly glossed lips.

Nurse Joy then heard the screams and cries of a little boy, sobbing and crying loudly. Her head turned to look at the source of the crying. It was a small Charmander boy, chasing down a Gurney with a Venosaur woman laying limply on top. She looked darkened and burned to a crisp, with blood all over. She seemed to be in a fire. The Charmander kept sobbing "Mommy." She pitied him for being in so much sadness and helplessness with his Mother charred. Joy stared at the whimpering child as he passed her room, tears filling his eyes and overflowing. A small frown formed, replacing her smile. It was quite a depressing sight, but Nurse Joy twirled upon her heel, redirecting her attention to her patient, Edan. With a heavy sigh, her smile returned, and her blue eyes glistened softly.
"Gets pretty depressing here," she admitted to Edan. She didn't really like it when it got gloomy and sad around the Hospital. It was depressing. Joy hated to see people cry out of sadness and despair, it was sad. So she utterly despised informing her patients of tragic news. She didn't like it at all.

With a small shrug, Joy returned to work. She stared at Edan.
"So you got a band? What's the name? I wonder if I've ever heard of it before," she asked curiously.

Edan watched quietly, still somewhat withdrawn due to his injury and the need to keep himself in check in this situation, as the audino reacted and made an assumption. He didn't stop her though, she was right even if he hadn't actually said it so her deduction was well done. "I guess.." he said quietly with a small simple smile on his lips as she joked about his foolishness, "at least something good came out of it, aye?" he added, looking up at her for a moment with a small laugh before his eyes fell back down upon his injury.

His thoughts, and the light mood that the nurse had created were soon ended as a child ran by screaming, a women being pushed ahead of him on a gurney, obviously injured badly. The vulpix cringed at her wounds, a pang in his stomach as the empathy settled in. It was really strange to him to see a case so serious in the same area where his minor injury was being treated, it made him glare down at his arm even harder - mentally accusing himself of being a pansy for even still being in the hospital over a little broken arm when there were people like that woman that could use a good nurse a lot more than he could.

He was jerked from his thoughts once more when Joy asked the surprisingly light question. He was caught off-guard by the sudden switch in moods but his lips parted in an attempt to regain his own composure, trying to respond. "I..uh yeah. It's just me and some friends, nothing too interesting." he gave off a bit of a shrug. The question was a little hard to answer because it felt very awkward to say the name after seeing the patient pass that had been so badly burned but with a sigh and a very awkward hand on the back of his neck he answered, "Burned Black." oh what he wouldn't give for it to have a different name right now.

Burned Black. A fitting title for a rock band as well as the element of the Vulpix. Joy tried to recall if she knew any of "Burned Black's" Music. Unfortunately, she knew absolutely none. She watched the man's movement. It was quite awkward how the name also fitted the charred patient in the hall. So it made the conversation slightly awkward. "Yea-no. I haven't heard of you guys before," she replied with a small chuckle, hoping to break the awkwardness. They were probably not quite famous yet and play gigs at small gatherings. Joy gave him a friendly smile as she looked at him. "Maybe I can see you play some time. I like many types of music, so don't be fooled by my 'cutesy' appearance," she chuckled. It was indeed true. Despite her cutesy appearance, she was really into all types of music. Most people would think she was more into the pop. Yeah, she liked it, but it's not one of her top types of music. She likes anything from classical to metal rock. Country and Rap included. Nurse Joy hoped she wasn't making him even more uncomfortable. It was already uncomfortable as it is.

A heavy sigh escaped the Audino's lungs. Empathy panged her stomach as she heard the continuous sobs and whimpers of the Charmander boy. She felt tears trying to force themselves out of her eyes. The images of the charred Venosaur made her wince. God, this job was emotionally hard at times. The crying continued from the little boy, and Joy couldn't take it anymore. She stood up from her chair and quickly made way to the opened door. She closed the door, a bit too hard to cause an accidental door slam. s**t. That would have awoken many of the patients, or made them uneasy. But finally, the boy's cries were not audible. Thank God. She was just about to burst into tears from the image of his mom. A heavy sigh escaped her lips once more and she returned to her own patient.
"Anyways...Ummm...so...hm," she stammered, feeling awkward through this whole situation of the kid and his mother, she didn't know what to say."So what were your plans today, before this?" she questioned curiously, pointing to his broken arm.

Edan hadn't expected for a moment that the Audino would have heard his music, not just because of her 'cutesy' appearance as she though. It was more so because of the fact that they didn't do a lot of shows and when they did, it was only local - not a lot of people knew about them. The vulpix honestly could have done much better with his talent but his attitude and the fact that his band-mates never wanted to practice prohibited them from getting anywhere. Honestly, Edan was happy with that, it was something that was peaceful for him and he liked it to just be for fun, he didn't want it to become a job and he would hate to have to worry about the way the public viewed him - he'd prefer to just slide under the radar.

"If you wanted to I guess, we don't do shows very often though." he admitted with a light shrug in response to the girl wanting to see his band play. "So I wouldn't expect you to have heard of us..it's just me and my idiot friends." he added with a light bit of laughter, he didn't really think that his friends were complete idiots, it was just his way of talking about them - he called them such to their faces as well, they'd become used to the way that he was.

Within moments apparently the girl became unable to handle the noise from down the hall though, suddenly giving the door a good slam. It startled the red head and he looked up with eyes a little too wide for a moment before relaxing as the nurse began to speak again, making it obvious that slamming the door had been an accident. He was caught a tad off guard by the question, simply not expecting her to care, and having not really thought about it. "Um..I don't know, just chill with my friends I guess.." he said now, letting his eyes wander as he thought about it, "The whole breaking my arm thing kind of ended that plan though." he gave off a warm laugh, feeling quite foolish about the whole situation really but not able to outright say that.

Nurse Joy smiled at her patient as he answered to her question. He didn't seem to mind if she went to see him play. He looked laid back about it. A small chuckle escaped her lungs as he spoke of his 'idiot friends' being a part of the band. So the boys who brought Edan in were also his 'bandmates'? Interesting."Well, maybe you can call me and tell me when's your next gig. I would love to come. This town isn't so interesting and fun, so a nice concert might make me change my mind," she spoke with a wink, following up with a giggle. The Audino stared at the Vulpix, smiling softly to him. She hoped she wasn't making him uncomfortable. Because she could be making a new friend in this town, not one that is in the medical field. Joy honestly really needed some friends. She hardly has any, excluding the nurses and doctors (well, the doctors weren't really her friends). She had only one friend in this town, and she doesn't have time for Joy. The Audino sighed silently, and looked to him.

Edan seemed startled a little from when she accidentally slammed the door to cancel out the pitiful sobs of the mourning child. She muttered the word 'sorry' to him, not meaning to scare him a little bit. Edan then answered her question, replying with a casual answer. It sounded like a boring day to her, but perhaps his friends were more fun than she thought they would be. Most likely, they were fun. Joy wondered what they would do, what they would talk about. They were probably going to talk about music and people they think suck and tell sex jokes. Boys will be boys. However, it seemed much more interesting than listening to the Doctors bragging about how much money he gets or how he handled a patient and got the credit for it when it was actually the nurses who did the work. Joy just despised the surgeons, being all snooty about their position and how they get to do the most interesting stuff in the medical field. . . surgery. Joy didn't like blood very much. . . or organs. So she stuck to nursing.

A small chuckle escaped her lips as he pointed out how his broken limb ruined his day.
"Ha. Well, at least it wasn't completely broken that it fell off. That has happened a few times here." The Audino smiled generously to the man as she awaited for the x-ray room to be available to them. So, she began to ask him more questions. "Do you work other than being a bassist?" she asked curiously.
