Lily entered the ranch house. She could have lived here, if she'd wanted to. But she never did move in. Maybe, eventually. But, for now, she enjoyed living at the Inn--she had a bit more privacy there than she would have here, and...well, being in the same house with Juan for any length of time would SO not be good for her health.

She had a hard enough time keeping her heart from exploding when she saw him. The last thing she needed was him popping up and catching her unawares. She sighed softly, before she shook her head and huffed. Enough pouting.

She put the food she'd managed to convince Jack to make for her--flan and churros, the boys' favorites--in the fridge. And then, she took a bite out of her apple, and settled in to wait for the boys to wake up.

Juan usually woke up pretty early, and today was no different. He should be jogging along the road by now, but for some reason he couldn't get out of bed. Staring at his ceiling, the older twin sighed as he thought about a certain woman in the valley. He had spent hours thinking about all the things that he could but probably couldn't say to her. 'Si yo no voy a hablar with her, I should just go on with my life,' he thought as he sat up in his bed. Sighing, Juan got up and made his way over to his bathroom to brush his teeth. He needed to stop thinking about the mayor and do all of his daily chores. It wouldn't do him or the ranch any good if he spent the entire day moping around about a women that Julio said he didn't have the huevos to speak to. 'Cualquiera que sea, Julio.'

After he got out of the bathroom, Juan slipped into his workout clothes and then made his bed. Yeah, he couldn't do on with his day if his room was a mess first thing in the morning. He has some serious orderly problems. Leaving his room, he made his way downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Oh," he got out, not even hearing Lily enter the house. Having Lily around was a nice change from his brother, plus she kept the two of them from killing each other, which Juan really appreciated. "Buenos días, Lily," the brunette formally greeted the female, walking over to the fridge. "Why are you here so early?" Now that Lily was here, Juan wasn't sure if he should go on his morning jog. Julio would take forever to get up and he didn't want her to wait here all by herself. He knew that she could protect herself, but he still worried.

Lily was getting a little bored, now. Julio wasn't an early riser, but Juan almost always went out for a morning jog. Maybe she'd missed him, in which case he would show up later on. Well, it wasn't like she had anything she absolutely NEEDED to get done today. After all, she needed Juan or Julio to tell her if there were any deliveries to be made. She took another bite of her apple, and nearly choked when she heard a familiar voice.

Luckily, she'd had more than enough experience in hiding her reactions to Juan's appearances, and didn't show that she'd nearly died via apple piece. She smiled at Juan, her usual, easy, bright smile, before she spoke.

"Buenos días." She was fluent in Spanish, as well as French and German. When he questioned why she was there so early, she chuckled a bit. "Dem was flirting with Curtis again, and Curtis woke me up yelling at Dem. I brought come flan and churros--Jack made them." She finished off her apple, and tossed the core into the trash, before she moved to wash her hands off.

Juan chuckled at the female's answer, knowing exactly what she was talking about. Juan knew how flirtatious his brother best friend could be, and he had also heard how stubborn the room service boy at the inn was. The rancher figured that if you put those two in a room together, bad things were bound to happen.

Opening up the fridge, Juan smiled as he spotting the flan and churros, wanting to save his treat later when he wanted a snack, "Gracias, I will have it later." Taking out some beans and eggs, the Mexican saw that Lily had finished her apple. "Is that all you are going comer para breakfast?" he asked, frowning slightly at the thought of the girl not having a full balanced breakfast.

Deciding that he wasn't going to jog today, Juan figured that he could make up for it tomorrow morning by jogging longer than usual. "I'm going to make huevos rancheros, would you like some? Yeah, he had asked her if she wanted any, but even if she said no Juan was still going to give her a little. Everyone deserved a good breakfast in the morning.

Lily smiled when she was thanked. "Not a problem. If I had a better kitchen, I'd have made it myself. I don't much like the little kitchenette they've got in the inn for my room." She wrinkled her nose.

When he asked her if the apple was all that she was going to eat for breakfast, she blinked a few times. "Ah, yeah. I was planning on it." And then Juan offered to let her have some of the eggs. She had a very, very light blush on her face, but she smiled easily, like her heart wasn't going a mile a minute.

"I wouldn't say no, that's for sure." She leaned back against the counter, and tried to get her squealing inner self under control.

Juan frowned a bit when she mentioned her lack of a kitchen, glancing over at Lily for a moment. "You can use mi cocina anytime you want," he offered, grabbing some more ingredients from the fridge, "Just as long as you put everything back where it belongs." Juan was very picky when it came to putting things away. He had a certain place for things and expected others to put them back where he had them. Julio often got annoyed with him because the younger twin felt that his brother was just a**l and annoying. Juan's arguement was that unless one of them was organized, they would live in a dump! Who would want to visit a dump?

Smiling when Lily agreed to have some breakfast, the elder of the brothers went on to make breakfast. "No creo que tengo anything for you to deliver today," he stated, figuring that's why the girl came over to the ranch so early. Well, besides the fact that the inn was so noisy. Frying to eggs for the huevos rancheros, Juan glanced over at the clock in the kitchen. "Lily, would you mind going to wake up Julio," he asked with a sigh, not wanting to go in fear that the eggs would cook too fast, "Tell him that breakfast is almost ready."

Lily was surprised at the offer--it was apparent in the way she raised her eyebrows. But then she grinned at him. "Really? Thanks! I'll be sure to do that, then. Besides--I like knowing where things are. Everything should be in it'splace, or as close as possible, anyway." When he told her that there was no work, she wrinkled her nose. "Well, maybe I can help out around here? I've got nothing to do today, and if I go into town, Alex will pounce on me, first chance he gets. I don't feel like dealing with Overprotective Brother today."

When he asked her to go and wake up Julio, she smiled a bit. "Sure thing." She pushed herself away from the counter, and made her way to Julio's bedroom. She'd been there long enough to know where it was, apparently. She didn't bother knocking before she entered, and she made her way to the bed. "Hey, Julio. Time to get your lazy butt up. Breakfast is almost done." Well, wasn't she the nice one. But, really, she was. She was just used to waking up uncooperative brothers.

To be honest, Julio had woken up around the time his twin had. There was something about noise inside the house that instantly woke him up, and even the smallest movements brought him from sleeping. Footsteps, water running, a toilet flushing, doors creaking . . . and sometimes he could get back to sleep, but not today. Mostly because he was half-listening to his twin talk to their delivery girl, Lily. She was sweet, but Julio couldn't help but silently wonder why she had a crush on Juan and not him. They looked the same, so Julio figured it was his personality that kept people away, not his looks.

Thinking depressing things always kept him awake. Sigh. . . . So when Lily entered, Julio was facing his wall, not her, and he grinned crookedly, glancing over his shoulder. "Morning!" he yelled, hoping to scare her, then he laughed boisterously, sitting up in his bed. Even though he was shirtless, he didn't bother covering up. Why should he? The world should be blessed by his chiseled man chest- Okay, not really. He was only sorta cut. Maybe he should start jogging with Juan? But that did mean waking up early.

Throwing his sheets clear across the bed, Julio swung himself out of bed and got to his feet, only to sway as the world spun around him. "Whoa, too fast," he groaned painfully, steadying himself with his bedside table. Waving Lily off, the younger Alvarez twin flashed her a lopsided smile and said, "Tell him to keep his pants on, I'll be down after I piss, comprende?" He very gently guided her out of his room at that point, then went about his own business.

Lily had to admit, he startled her. She jumped, giving a startled little squeak. She huffed, and stuck out her tongue at him. "Morning, Julio. You would try to give me a heart attack, wouldn't you?" She wrinkled her nose... but smiled a little bit.

She had to admit, he was attractive, since he looked so similar to his brother. And she truly did like him--he was a great person to be friends with. Honest he was... but there was something about Juan that just made her heart race, something beyond his very yummy appearance that Julio just didn't have.

When he swayed, Lily frowned, and moved forward just a little bit. "Okay?" And then she was waved off, and she chuckled, putting her hands up and smiling at him. "Alright, alright." When he spoke next, though, she laughed out loud and shook her head. "Alright. See you in a bit." And then she made her way back downstairs. Once there, she smiled at Juan.

"He'll be down in a few minutes. Need any help?"

When Lily left the room, Juan continued to work on breakfast. Frying up some corn tortillas, the older twin made sure that when they were done getting crispy that they made their way onto a plate with a paper towel on it. He didn't want his fried tortillas to be too oily for his brother and Lily. Oily tortillas ruin the whole meal. After the fried tortillas had dried off, he put one on the three plates that he had grabbed. Placing an egg on each, he began to cook some tomatoes and onion. Waiting until they were tender enough, he mashed them into a salsa like substance. He then spooned some of that onto each egg, spooning some of the refried beans that he had heated up onto the plate as well.

He glanced up when he heard Lily coming back, giving each plate some Mexican rice. "No gracias, I'm done," he replied, smiling over at the girl as he grabbed some spoons and placed them on the dining room table. Pulling out a chair, he motioned Lily over. "Sit down," he stated, walking back over to the counter to grab two of the three plates. He plated one of the dishes where he had pulled out the chair, then placed the other in the spot right next to that one. Walking back over, he grabbed his plate and set it across from where Lily would be eating. "What do you want to drink?"

Enjoying the girl's surprise, Julio smiled mischievously and cocked his head to the side. "That's me, Lily," he quipped easily, his smile turning kittenish. He gestured grandly to himself and declared in a pompous tone, Julio, instigator of heart attacks. Soon, though, she had gone, and he exhaled a bit in a tired sigh. Ruffling his hair, Julio yawned loudly, then shook his head as that would chase away his drowsiness. Going into the bathroom, he splashed his face and glanced at himself in the mirror. To be honest, he didn't care about being Juan's twin and looking just like him. He was more concerned with finding a steady lover.

He stripped down and took a very quick shower, as he usually did, and was out and dressed within minutes of going in. It was spring, so the weather was still pleasantly cool. However, Julio was going to have to work, so he stuck to some messy, faded jeans and a long white tank top. Shoes of choice? Canvas, duh. They were flexible, comfortable, and relatively cheap. Ready for the day, Julio headed out of his room and down the stairs, inhaling the smells of breakfast as he went.

Grinning widely, Julio went to his twin and hugged him around the middle from behind, cooing, "Such a good little wife-y, making us some breakfast, some desayuno." He pecked his brother on the cheek before laughing and ducking under a possible punch. After pouring himself a glass of milk, Julio rolled his eyes as he sat down at the table. "She's not a baby, Juan, she can get her own drink," he said matter-of-factly before eagerly digging into breakfast. As if Lily needed any other reason to make goo-goo eyes at his twin. Half-way through his breakfast, he waved his fork at Juan, calling gratefully, "Thanks for breakfast, esposa!" He grinned and sank in his chair, hoping to avoid flying spatulas or plates.
