There is definitely a lot of improvement here! :3
Your lines are much smoother, you are starting to show the light source better-- although some more contrast and a shadow, perhaps, would add to that-- and then the overall anatomy had improved by a long shot. I think that the only thing I would really say to touch up on as far as the person goes would be to focus a bit more on the joints. The left arm is a bit "noodle-like" without a clear joint for the elbow, and then the legs have a bit of cankle going on since there is no ankle shown.
Everything aside, though, the improvement is definitely noticable, and the overall style is adorable.
What program did you use for the newer one? SAI?
