Kay, so, here it is.

The weapons firing system is based off of the XM8 (although it uses a LSAT caseless device, as it fires caseless rounds), and a flow formed cobalt alloy polygonal barrel.

The barrel is detachable (that little thingy at the top), and the weapon is essentially a bullpupup weapon. It uses a 60 round surefire magazine as it's base, which is essentially the main unit used to feed the weapon (although with the SAW upper receiver, it can be belt fed). Because the rounds are caseless, however, it is as if 48 round are being used in terms of weight, and as if 56 rounds are being used in terms of volume, making the magazine feeding extremely reliable and unlikely to jam (as when normally loading less into the weapon, such as 1 or 2, although this is the equivalent of 20). The weapon itself is pretty reliable, using some of the most reliable barrel, firing system, and magazine style and ammunition in existence.

It also fires 6.5mm grendel rounds, and uses a standard barrel length of about 16 inches. Despite the barrel length being relatively short, this normally hindering both accuracy and power, the weapon compensates by using poylgonal rifling, which both increases the muzzle velocity and accuracy.

It is made out of composites and polymers similar to that P90, making it relatively lightweight.

the weapon also comes with a rail sight that, can have a scope in the empty spot normally used as a carrying handle, to make it easy to switch between scopes or a rail sight. This scope can also be hooked up to the land warrior system.

The weapon is a solid 6.9 lb and 24.5 inches long in it's standard form, with a 16 inch barrel, and gets 820 m/s from the 16 inch barrel. The 60 round steel magazines weigh around 1.4-1.5 lb fully loaded, and so the weapon is around 8.4lb fully loaded, with an iron sight. With the extra scope, the weapon is around 9.9 lb (.5 lb for the iron sight), and with a fully loaded grenade luancher the weapon is around 13.5lb. While the weapon can be relatively heavy (especially in the sniper and SAW variants), it's low weight compared to most modern weapons as well as it's improved ergonomics, such as the weapon being close to the body, make it relatively easy to carry and move around.

The weapon also has a muzzle break and recoil pad, which makes the felt recoil nearly negligible. The weapon generally gets around 1 MOA, and while it could be presumably be more accurate, the reliability of the weapon came first. That being said, the weapon is still on par or more accurate than a standard M40 bolt action sniper rifle.

Believe it or not I would rather stick with the M4 or an AK47

I'm sure you would.

There are many people who would feel that way.

The AK-47 is old and obsolete. Just accept it. It was a good idea, but new things are far better, and this rifle is one of them.

Heh.

Well, it's pretty much an culmination of all of the most amazing things about guns I can find on the interwebsz, and it could in theory exist, but it doesn't, so I can see why someone might want to use a real gun but...

Yeah.

It's pretty cool. xp
