This game is on the Nintendo Game Cube and for the Wii, but I am going to relay this walkthrough from the game cube version.
You may give your comments if you wish. Please do.
Chapter 1 - Ordonia Village
Rusl and Link are having an evening conversation about the recent blankets of Twilight clouds and that there has been a foreboding feeling of danger approaching. Epona, in the meantime is sipping the natural spring water in Ordon fountain where the goat spirit lives.
After the interesting talk, Link heads home promising to do well at work the following day.
Who can tell me what the first mission is?

Okay, I will tell you. Its go find Epona.
what to do
Go out the exit that is beside NOT behind Link's boss. Once there, you will find a crawl space to your left. Take it. Crawl through it until you arrive at the spring.
There you will find a girl and Epona.

*shrugs* I guess that mission was too simple. Well, after you find Epona, then you get to herd goats and save the game.
Next, the kids Talo, Malo, and Beth wake you up. Climb down the ladders (there are 2, not 3 to climb down) and exit your house.
Now jump down and meet with the kids. They will tell you that there is a slingshot on sale at the shop, so they basically are telling you what you have to do...buy the slingshot.
What?! It costs money? How do I earn that?!
Simple! You may roll through the tall grass since you have no sword yet, pick up pumpkins and toss them. Yeah, you get to waste food, but pumpkins grow back easily so no need to feel guilty about it. Rolling into trees is another way, and picking up rocks too.
But, an easy 10 rupees is by climbing on the roof of the mayor's house. While you're up on the roof, check out the grass reeds. Blow into one and aim that hawk towards the beehive! Yeah! It's gone! And...no damage either! Woo hoo!
Okay, now that we are all happy. Time to get serious. Use L targeting to talk with the "good for nothing father", climb the vines then skip across the ledges, across the roof of the shop, and then across two more ledges to the farthest reed of grass sticking up. Call your second hawk. Now, aim this bird toward the monkey holding a cradle.
Apparently, the monkey is only causing trouble to get your attention, nobody else's though nobody else realizes it.
Anyway, take that recovered cradle to the pregnant lady by the creek. Follow her to her place, which is the house around the corner where the beehive was, and she gives you a fishing rod that her son Collin made.
Sweet! We get to go fishing! Perfect! There's a cat needing our help, so, guess what? That's next on your to-do list.
Practice using the fishing rod to fish out 1 Greengill. Then, fish out a second greengill and watch the cat that needed your help go nuts, take the fish and back to the store.
By now, you should have 30 rupees saved up. If not, then gather the rupees until you do. Enter the shop and buy the slingshot. This little device comes in handy. Sure Sera thinks you're naughty, but what does she know about heroics? Nothing!
So, now that you've got that slingshot, time to head home and meet up with Rusl who tells you that he left something at your place.
Whoa! There's a bug on the ladder! Blast you Rusl for dropping your lice! (That was a joke)
Use that slingshot to get rid of the bug then go inside. Open the chest to reveal...yep, you guessed it, a sword! A cheap sword!
Well, it will do for a little while...you do need it. So, now talk with the kids and brag about the slingshot. Take their practice test of both the slingshot and the sword. Then climb your horse. Time to chase that naughty monkey again. You didn't follow her after you got the cradle back, so now, the monkey is trying to get your attention again.
So, now you follow the monkey right to the Forest temple, but oh no, its blocked by boulders and the monkey along with Talo is captured. Who do those trolls think they're trying to kill? Those sticks only work on...never mind, a dirty thought crossed me.
Anyway, get rid of the trolls, use a spin attack and free Talo and the monkey.
Time to herd 20 goats this time and then...

Watch an angry Ilia take your horse to the spring. To pass Talo and Malo, give them your cheap sword. You don't need it anymore, so why not give it to the needy?
Now time to go to that Spring. Use the shortcut to enter it like before. After talking with Ilia, she gets shot with an arrow and you get clubbed. Oh, how nice?! Was this a set up by the royal family?! Is this why Rusl didn't want to take the sword and shield to Hyrule in the first place?
First Rusl leaves his filth behind, and now he's bringing creatures that club you!
Well, now that you are nice and pissed off, time to see the next bit of fun. You becoming a wolf! Use that anger to break free.
Getting through Hyrule castle is pretty easy. In the waterways, when you see those spikes, don't cross them until you've raised the water level via the dam behind them. If you see the spikes on the left, turn right at that corner, pull the handle, then go across.
Now that you've passed them, no need to go across them again, just turn away from them and find the handle for the second dam. It will lower the water level, so you know not to cross the spikes, but instead search for a crawl space below where Midna is beckoning you.
This next bit you can figure out on your own.

All right, you've filled your first tear bucket and now its time to get the first of the 3 fused shadows. But, before you do go into Faron Woods to get that shadow, you should tell the others in the village that you're safe. After all, they didn't know that you were that wolf, aka the last "monster" that entered the village. You will be back to your hylian self so relax.
Now, when ready, head to the temple. Be sure to have saved 120 rupees this time. 100 is for the second bottle with free oil, and the other 20 is for the second bottle of oil. Be sure to have gulped down that milk first before donating 20 rupees to the forest repair fund and getting the oil. Now that you're all set...lets do this.
In the Forest temple, there are two heart pieces that you are going to want to find. But wait, I did forget something...
When you are chasing after the monkey the first time, and you are getting the key to the North faron woods, in the section with the key in it, light the two torches to unlock a hidden chest just above the key's chest. There is heart piece #1.
Now in the temple, the other 2 heart pieces are in the following locations: Where two bomb eating flowers are. The second bomb eating flower is hiding a chest that holds 1 piece of heart.
The second heart piece in the temple is found where those tile worms are hiding. After getting the boomerang from "the boss of the monkeys", go to the tile worm room. Beat the tile worms by using the boomerang and landing them in the water. After all, they cannot swim. Then use the boomerang to blow out the torches. Go into the little crevice there and open a chest containing the heart piece.
These same 3 heart pieces are in the same spots for the wii version. I will give you updates as I know more.
