Plamen kept working on that spot skillfully, careful to keep her happy...at least for the moment. There were other ways to infuriate her. Get another mare preggorz and come back to her. Always stick around for her pregnancies and child raising phases, but always leave other impregnated mares after impregnating them. The trick was to anger her while making her still malleable. An inferno was a precious resource, not to be wasted, and given that truth...and given that Kalida wasn't around much these days...Retinadeath might be the best he could do in getting close to an inferno he could work with, and an inferno was a GOOD thing.
He didn't outwardly pay attention to the feel of her wings on his chest, but if it wasn't for self-control, he'd feel like he was melting into a puddle of pleasure.

As she relaxed, Retinadeath's mind began to unwind. Slowly, but surely, her defenses lowered without her realizing it. The world shrank down until it contained no other stars but her and Lamen. All sensation melted away to just the cool lap of water around her knees and Lamen's teeth scratching her back. All sound changed to the sound of their breaths and the sigh of the wind in her mane. All scents were the smell of new grass, the smell of imminent rain, and his scent close to her body.
...No, Lamen wasn't right...No, it started with a P, didn't it...? Percy? Perseus? But "Lamen" still sounded right...Pla...yes, that was it!
"I'm sorry," she said. "I seem to have been calling you by the wrong name all this time. Your name's Plamen. Why didn't you correct me when I called you 'Lamen'?"
(('Cause he's a lemon in every sense of the word. [SHOT] Well, except the fruit sense.))

Damn. She wasn't supposed to figure that much out. But if he was going to have her become his personal inferno...it was fair for her to know his first name. Just nothing else. He still severely doubted the advantages of telling her his proper name.
"Yes, it is, Retinadeath, but for you, I let the inaccuracy pass," he said, as smoothly as he could when his brilliant brain was looking for the emergency exit now that she noticed something was up, which was still fairly smooth.

Making exceptions for me? I haven't even done anything yet! He's flirting with me! Just as bad as complimenting me! "Thanks for the back scratch," she said abruptly. "It felt lovely." She took a few steps away from him, stretching out her wings. Should I kick him or should I bite him? Or should I just walk away? Some part of her that knew her place told her to walk away, but some other part of her that wanted too badly to be noticed by fighting told her to fight. The water's a disadvantage, then. I need to get out on the bank. She walked quickly out of the water, flicking her tail. Turning towards him, she asked him in a scornful voice, "Well? Are you going to get out, or are you going to wallow like a boar some more?"

Crap. She wasn't supposed to step away, but maybe he'd come to close to flattering her. Damn. He carefully covered up the internal conflict with a grin and then stepped out onto the bank beside her, lightly shaking himself and minimizing the water spraying on her.
"The water is pleasant, as is bathing, and cleanliness is a virtue." Virtue. That was the last thing Plamen had. "However, one can never aspire to acquire too much of a good thing, including bathing." He smiled at her and started to stroll away. "Good day to you, fiery one; it was nice to have a bath with you."

"Yes, it was nice, wasn't it?" Retinadeath mused. Her voice was calm and level, but inside, she was anything but. She hadn't left the water to snub this jerk--she had left it to leave her legs free! Without warning, she charged up to him, pivoted on her front hooves and slammed her back hooves into his rump with all of the force she could muster. As she did, she whinnied loudly in pleasure at the feeling of her muscles gliding powerfully back.

Well, this was an unexpected treat. She seemed close to an inferno already. As her hind hooves connected with his rump, he executed a very little jump, to reduce the damage dealt, and because it was a nice little flourish that earned one style points.
As he landed, he turned around and grinned. "Good to see Lord Moloch has such enthusiastic and skilled warriors on his side. Good afternoon, Retinadeath, one of Lord Moloch's mighty champions." As gracefully as he could (considering getting kicked in the rump and not wanting to look like he was running away) he strolled off into the woods to where he made his resting and plotting place.
