i just had another lol on the pine trees, instead tiny pine needles they were hug and bublouse and the trees were stretched out of proportion and around the edges of the cliffs there was an orange tint

I'm pretty sure that's normal. It happens to me too often to not be. Probably the weirdest terrain pattern I ever had was this protoss face surrounded by rune patterns plastered over every inch of the map. Wish I had got a screen shot of that.
