The PSL is a clob of s**t since it's knocking off the AK design and is made of stamped steel instead of milled like a real Dragunov or a TIGR. THe PSL will function reliably with regular surplus ammo until you feed as much ammo through it as a heavily used machine gun then you start to notice you can pull the bolt back about a few centimeters more than you could when you first bought it because the PSL destroys itself no matter how much maintenence you put into it. The bolt always violently smacks against the reciever every time it's fired. The damage is worsened if you fed higher pressure ammo through it.
I've been to 2 gunshops that were selling PSLs and they were running these rifles at $600-$900 which I find utterly ridiculous for a gun that has to have the reciever replaced every time I want to shoot a couple surplus ammo tin's worth of ammo through it.

Any professional/educated opinions to be had about this particular weapon by anybody who has owned or fired one?
Also, while we're at it, I purchased a Romanian Tokarev TTC today, since based on what I've seen the prices for an authentic Russian TT-33 can get pretty out-there, so I had to ask: what about other clones/knock-offs/whatever you want to call them. Good? Bad? Indifferent?
Discuss, if you will.
