 [8 Xander DelMaer 8] -Species: thunder/lightning demon
Grade: college freshman
Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' Seeing Ray go for his sword as he crashed into the ground, Xander pulled his R.E.M.R. from its holster, which hung from his belt loop. One flick of the wrist later, and the (seemingly ordinary)metal pole doubled in length, glowing with a bright yellow - and crackling - electricity.
As his opponent (presumably)swung his sword - in an effort to knock Xander's feet out from under him -, the thunder demon's R.E.M.R. met the sword, sparks dancing from both weapons as they made contact with each other(though the sparks that danced from Xander's weapon were actually electrical ones).'...I wanted t'press it~'

Ray managed to get back on his feet, continuing to press his blade against Xander's R.E.M.R., hoping that at least one would break. It would give him an excuse to fight bare-handed: Something he excelled at.

Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' So that's how things were going to proceed, eh? 'Fine by me,' Xander thought with a wry smirk, both of his hands now holding onto the R.E.M.R.'s handle. Either his weapon was going to break first, or Ray's was. Either way, one of the two men would have no choice but to continue this fight bare-handed.
That being said, Xander proceeded to up the amount of electricity that was coursing through the R.E.M.R., in an effort to turn things in his favor.'...I wanted t'press it~'

In response, Ray's pupil's shifted, and his output nearly doubled to that of his previous amount of force, causing his blade to (Hopefully) gain the slightest edge.

From his experience as a seasoned fighter - and if the previous two rounds of the tournament were any indication what-so-ever -, Xander somehow knew that he and Ray were going to be attempting to break the other's weapon for quite a while. In other words, it was a good old-fashioned stand-off between the two.
When Ray doubled the amount of force that he was applying to his sword, Xander could feel the slightest hint of a bend forming in his R.E.M.R., having an almost mental connection with the device(due to his electrical powers fueling it). Bracing his feet firmly against the ground - it should be noted that the thunder demon, of all things, wore a pair of flip-flops to the semi-final match(ever the easy-going guy he was) -, Xander wasn't going to give Ray an inch of ground anytime soon.'...I wanted t'press it~'

Seeing the R.E.M.R. bend a bit excited Ray, and he put even MORE force into his side, tripling his force now. His sword showed small fractures from the strain. Something was going to give soon...

Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' Moving his head from side-to-side as he cracked his neck, the electrical film from earlier began to take on a harsh yellow glow, ultimately giving the (ironic, given he's a demon)effect of Xander glowing in an almost holy light. As for the effect this had on the stand-off, the harshness of the light would probably cause anyone's - within close range of Xander - vision to grow white.'...I wanted t'press it~'

The attack had the expected effect: Ray was blinded! However, Xander hadn't expected that Ray could smell and hear better that see! His other senses making up for his sudden lack of vision, Ray kept at it, his force waning slightly.

Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' The (slightly)waning force from Ray's weapon caused Xander's golden-hazel eyes to twinkle mischievously. Instead of backing up - as would probably be expected from him at this point -, the thunder demon kept at it, the 'holy light' around him becoming more intense. One way or another - and hopefully -, this stand-off would end soon.'...I wanted t'press it~'

Ray finally decided that this would be all or nothing, and quickly turned his sword, causing the broad side to now press against Xander's weapon. Then, he forced his foot behind it, giving him a bit of ground as well as a much-needed boost in force.
