Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls ---
Hey, cool cats! I have an out of guild RPG I wanted to invite you guys too.
To be honest, I just remembered I was even in this guild. Uh oh. *guilty smile* I've been off of Gaia for a long while now and I'm only just settling back in, so give me a break! Anyway, I've recently made my foray back into the Gaia-verse, and to celebrate that, I've started a trippy hippie rpg. It's a fully structured, beginning, middle and end kind of deal. Check it out for yourself:
NO DIRECTION HOME: a roleplay in three acts
plot is as follows: you play a character who is leaving on the NYC train to hit Austin, Texas for the SXSW festival. You get there, alright; only, you get there almost 40 years ago, with no direction home in sight. At least you're not the only one. We're short two teenagers and college-aged kid, but ACT II is a casting call for classical hippies, beatniks, anarchists, giggling dharma bums, etc. etc.
It's going to be this chill thing where we kind of play around with characterization and experiment with different ways of explaining our posts... I kind of just wanted this really fluid environment for role-players to really build their own universe, you know? I've got this thing I'm going to try out with multiple threads for different aspects of the story, so you can really get into the game-verse. The way I imagine it, I think it will work. But I need a couple more dedicated rpgers to play so we can send these guys on the train and therefore into the story.
We're looking for dedicated players and I know I can count on you guys for that. Act I is being filled out now, but Act II might be where it gets tricky - the cast will get huge - character doubling and tripling will be common, and if you get bored with any of your folks, it is encouraged you either kill them creatively or lose them in a woods and adopt a new persona.
This will be a long-term rpg. If you ditch, we keep your character and just open them up for continuity.
We want to play with a new breed of storytelling on Gaia, something a little fresher, something with life and activity. So, who wants in?
