I'm freaking obsessed with this series. Even the non-anime fans love it.

Absolutely, completely and utterly love this anime~
It really could have gone in the complete other direction at the start... it was either gonna be great or crap. So glad it was good =3
It's not airing at the moment though because of the disaster...

Watched the first ep to check it out, seems pretty awesome! I have this thing against watching currently-being-released anime though, means I can't binge and if I get to a cliffhanger I have to wait which totally kills me.
Definitely will be watching the rest though, thanks a lot for the suggestion heart

The manga is slightly different, as well as more bloody/gorey. The anime avoids showing much bloody stuff, though it does pretty much tell you when there's blood/whatever.
