As the opening riffs of Metallica's
Don't Tread On Me begin to play, the lights in the arena switch to an alternating green and brown hue. A billowing American flag appears on the titantron with the words "Major Devastation" appearing in the foreground over the USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor logo.
He rises slowly from below the stage and lifts a US flag high over his head in his left hand. As the lift stops, Major Devastation salutes the crowd as red, white and blue fountains of sparks spray around him before making his way down the ramp. The champ still appeared to be in a foul mood from his encounter with Damian earlier in the evening, and he was still missing his championship belt.
