darkharukan what happened to lloyd's arm? Within my story the humans are the power of dominance and they wish to be rid of all creatures that they find a threat to humans-- this includes all "mythics"; Humanoids and dragons and such. The creatures that they dislike are not killed instantly, however, they are instead sent to facilities where they are literally tortured (the torture is to cruelly cull them as well as train the soldiers of the human king). Lloyd was in such a facility and there he lost his arm and eye to a fight against one of the king's soldiers. After the lose of limb he was seen as unfit to continue with the fights, but was then sent to do even more gruesome tests where his wounds were continually ripped open and re-closed until they now refuse to close again. He will now bleed out without the pressure of his bandages.

The idea is just formatted on human's attempting to stand alone with disregard for lower species-- this can be seen even with animals today, since we have lost many species to hunting and pollution.
