Many times, when things happen to us? I see them in a strategic way. Someone was telling me earlier how, at work, they should have just let this customer attack them verbally then, when they were done? Just do what he was supposed to.

The way things like that stand out for me? You just bring up your shield and you endure what they're throwing at you in their rage. Once they've spent themselves on the offensive, or if you see an opportunity to attack? Be kind, be gentle, be meek and submissive, show them love: attack them with your sword.

Haha. "Killing them with kindness", I suppose, if you've heard that before?

I guess, the way I see it in my mind? It's like, when they do evil against you? If you resist them and do evil back? They have just struck you: their blow has landed. You bring up your shield, you try to deflect it, you avoid it, you push the blow away from you and push past it. You look for an opening, being cautious, analyzing in an instant, praying the whole time that God helps you to glorify Him and do well. Whether your opening comes after they've finally relented on their offensive or somewhere before, you have to seize it and strike them.

Their purpose is to drag you out from doing right, doing what is pleasing to the Lord: when they succeed, you have been wounded and many problems may arise. Your purpose is to show the love of the Lord God of Heaven and glorify His name. When you strike? People may falter; when you are submissive they may relent their attack; others may keep attacking showing no sign of being wounded though they are wounded, or their attack may become more fierce, though they have indeed been wounded by your kindness to them.

These are just some observations I have made, just some things the way I see them subconsciously, I suppose.
