Those of us who have time, patience, and two or more Gaia accounts, are invited to help me perform a blood transfer from the old clan to the new one.
You don't have to do this, but you can volunteer, and many will be needed.
1. Join the old clan with your other account if you already haven't. Those avatars that aren't vampires will be granted special permission to be nonvampires and to be safe from biting.
2. Choose a subforum in the old clan, any subforum except 'The Mansion - Roleplays'. Post in this topic the name of the subforum you've chosen.
3. Go to that subforum. Open Microsoft Word, Open Office Writer, Word Pad, Notepad, or some other text program.
4. Look for topic titles that you think are good and worth moving over to the new clan. Open those topics one at a time, click quote button in the first post, and paste the content of the quote screen in your document file.
Important: you must have the
Quote code, complete with original poster's username
in your copied post, as well as all the bold, italics, color, size, and
other formatting)
. I repeat: use quote button, and copy the text from the quote screen, not from the original post and NOT VIA EDIT BUTTON (crew members and VCs have edit button, and a chronic tendency to confuse it with the quote button), and paste it to your document file.
This is very important because we NEED, MUST, and ARE LEGALLY OBLIGED TO cite the name of the original poster in every topic.
5. Repeat this process every time you see a good topic in your chosen subforum. Copy and paste topic titles above each copied first post. You get to choose which topics you copy. Only the first post needs to be copied.
6. Save the file, log out on that account, and log in on the account you have in this new clan. Make new topics with the topic titles you copied (or make improved versions of the topic titles, especially if the originals have typos and bad grammar), and copy and paste the first post of each topic from your file of quotes into the first posts of the remake of that topic in this guild.
7. If these instructions are too complicated, you are probably not literate enough to do this task correctly. See below.
7 b. Don't worry - instead, you can just start making new topics in the subforums of this clan. Make topics about things you are genuinely interested in and things you are curious about or want to discuss with other members.
8. Have fun, and if the work becomes stressful, it is time to take a break from it.
