Let's face it, Naoko Takeuchi is not a great artist. A lot of her characters look almost exactly the same. Ex: Mina and Serena, especially in the anime when Mina used the disguise pen to become "Sailor Moon". Reading her older works, it -really- shows. Ex 2: In the manga, Ami is identical to Hikaru Sorano in Codename: Sailor V AND Natsuna Sakurada is a dead twin of Rei.

I love Sailor Moon but that doesn't make the manga work any better. Be prepared to recognize a lot of repeated character designs/models being used in her works. Of course she's the author so there's always going to be -some- similarities but as an artist myself it really shows. I'll always be greatly appreciative of Naoko Takeuchi but that doesn't mean I'm blind to her faults.

You can check for yourself, I have almost all of her works posted somewhere in this forum. Personally I've found her "newer" works to be same as her "older" works. I haven't read a story yet that wasn't shojo, and only ones here and there have something more then a girl and a boy. If you look at Maria (also somewhere in this sub forum) I actually liked that story.
