Okay this will be a general discussion about alters..
But there is a question that I am going to ask;
I live in the southern Hemisphere... I was wondering do I have to put the things on my alter in a different way.
I have read in books about positioning, North South east west... but i can't find anything about the southern hemisphere.... if its different or not...

It is the same in the northern and southern hemisphere. It doesn't matter which one you are in, North is still north, South is still south, etc. ect. ect.... So on and so forth. But as Lalalogic said, go with what feels more natural or comfortable.
