So, I was just being social and wondering what everyone had planned, if anything?
Personally, I'm cooking like usual. I plan on making lemon cilantro roasted chicken with deviled eggs, and a nice green salad (hopefully with dandelion greens if I can find them!). For desert I'm going to make a white cake with strawberry icing made from scratch, topped with some fancy kiwi slices. It probably sounds kinda odd/nasty, but I'm always trying something different.
Speaking in a more ritualistic sense, I've already begun to transplant/plant seeds in my herb garden. I'm doing some spring cleaning around the house, and I am hoping to do a little 'spring cleaning' self cleansing as well. Nothing too special smile
How about you all?

I'm celebrating Autumnal Equinox, and then Winterfinding the first cold day after that.

I'm still hoping to meet up with the coven- but if not, I think I'll be able to do something at home.

I took two days off of work for the holiday. Which I am very excited about. smile Saturday my husband and I are going out to enjoy the day downtown (We live in Chicago). Sunday I am doing a ritual as well as cooking a nice breakfast for myself. Then I am Planting in my backyard.

Well no ritual. And its not actually religious for me since it's technically a Zoroastrian Holiday that all Persians have kinda just made part of the culture instead of the religion. But Sunday marks the first day of Spring I believe and that is the Persian New Year. So we will be at a large party. Lots of dancing, loud noise, food and all the 'kids' shoved in a corner.

I am just probably just going to read the Homeric Hymn to Demeter and crack open a bottle of wine. I would garden, but it is still cold where I live. xp

About the Hymn to Demeter: What do you mean by a long and short variety of the gods?

in my version (a gift from my Latin teacher)which is translated by Sarah Ruden there are multiple hymns to tertian deities, for example demeter is hymns: 3 and 13, 3 is considerably longer than 13 the same with Athena hymns: 11 and 28 although the differance is less drastic one is longer than the other. the same is with a few others. its not really one is the shortened version of the other, but rather that one is a shorter hymn to the deity in question.

I know I am jumping in a bit late here, but I attended ritual with the coven that I am a seeker of. Then we had an AMAZING feast. When I got home I planted an Ash seedling, but I have no idea what sort of Ash it is, so I am excited to find out ^_^

The copy I have does the same thing. I read the second Hymn to Demeter. That is the one where Persephone is taken away to the Underworld by Hades against her will.
