So as you may or may not know the Full moons have different names to them depending on what time of year they're in the sky. This tradition lasts through several different generations and cultures so there tends to be several names for each. There are also names from different languages, so for this list I'll only list English names. So as we know the Lunar Calendar is different from the monthly calendar. Sometimes we have more then one full moon in a month. When this happens it's referred to as a blue moon. Another, lesser known name for this is betrayer moon. A blue moon happens once every 2 or 3 years and it's where the term "once in a blue moon" comes from. The Moon can also appear to be slightly blue in color after fires or volcanic eruptions, however, the moon doesn't have to be full in order for this to happen.

The picture is an example of what the moon goes through from night to night during a lunar month. The picture starts at a new moon, continues through all the phases into a full moon, and continues until it ends at the new moon again. It's illustrating all the phases in one swift .gif image. Why it's from November to October specifically I'm not sure, because that's basically what the moon does every month, it's just most likely when the pictures were taken. The date is also 2007. The picture shows how the Moon rotates around the Earth as well, tilting closer and further away at it's south pole which is why the face changes from night to night. I think it looks beautiful so that's really why I added it more then anything else. 3nodding
