Day One
The strain of being in forced hermitage had been too much after a time. The toymaker had spent a little too long near the gates, gathering the materials she needed for her newest creations.

She'd found, however, that she missed the most playful of her creations and now she was too broken to even remember them or even how she came to be in this strange place.

Perhaps she had fallen through another door...

In any case, there Syrcaid was. Sitting in one corner of her sparsely decorated room with the interestingly soft walls and, she'd also noticed, whatever they had used to make the sparkler that seemed to stay permanently lit on the other side of the room. No matter where the sparks fell, nothing seemed to catch fire, much to her disappointment.

Something, too, she noticed was giving off the scent of burnt sugar. There were so many mysteries involved with this new environment and her mind was too far gone at the moment to notice anything else but the random sparking on the end of a metal rod.

Every few minutes, she had the urge to open the door. Every time she had tried, it wouldn't budge.

She'd even drawn the doorknob on straight, and it still wouldn't open.
