I liked fable, I loved fable 2, I was let down by fable 3.
So I will start off by including some of the things I felt was good in fable 3: - Quests are less glitched - Beautiful and colorful graphics -The story wasn't as cliche as the first 2 (was a bit more entertaining then fable 1's generic story of farm boy gets training then beats the bad guy) -Loved the interactive pause and the map table -Loved combining spells -Had fun with co-op (seriously online co-op is how the game is meant to be played, single system co-op is fun but you feel the same limitations fable 2 gave you) -Dog breeds are fun to toy with -Still gave you the feelgood feeling when you made noble choices -Still gives the evil pleasures of massacring towns and creating whorehouses. -I have 3 towns full of orphaned children.
Now for the down side: - Got rid of the health bar. That red creeping up on the side of the screen is ******** annoying. -Slow time and summon creature potions were fun but I would like if they added another type (maybe took a spell from fable 1 they got rid of. Berserk was always a favorite of mine) -Hobbes and bandits dodge to much. The barrel of my pistol is point blank with the Hobbes face and it does a cartwheel in one spot to dodge it. Over. And over. -Still running through the game only using melee weapons for a challenge since the magic is borderline useless during fights and guns never lose with their "shoot, roll, repeat" strategy -Game is too short. I was kind of hoping for the boss to be harder. Or at least a twinrova final form type battle where what he is hurt with depends on his current color. (like the color shadows from fable 2 only a bigger pain) Instead we killied him like we did every other enemy in the game guzzle health potions and mash X. -A way to rectify some ofthe damage I did to albion while gaining money. -Lady greys brain can be in a jar in the book quest. There is a person in aurora that can speak to severed brains... Why was that not a quest? - No "repair all" option - Area's were beautiful but to small. I would have rather seen fable 2 graphics and an ever expanding world worth exploring than 6-8 small places and decent views. -Have epic battles with other hero's. Some of my best Xbox memories come from halo 1 where in the middle of a co-op level me and my friends would just start tearing each other apart with everything at our disposal. I wanted that for this game plus a destructible town environment. I wanted an evil hero to take the good hero's spouse hostage and be able to blackmail in the middle of a fight of epic proportions. They could have been so creative with that. If they included that I wouldn't have minded not having many places to explore. -Lore. In every previous fable game there has been tons of lore. Books containing epic tales of grand adventure. Incredibly old letters to tie up loose ends from earlier parts of the story or earlier games. There very little of that and it took away from the fable feel. - To defend with magic. That entire game the right trigger did nothing. It was useless. I would like to be able to defend with magic. Set up a wall of fire or lightning that would disintegrate bullets or absorb other magic attacks. -Sorely wish I could give gifts to my family once and a while instead of always being on the receiving end... -And finally these ******** relationship quests piss me off to no end. No bob I don't want to run to a random spot in mistpeak to be your friend, I just wanted your guild seal.
In conclusion, the game clearly wasn't finished. I hope for a fable 3 TLC or a godly good fable 4 to make up for it. As soon as I get the 2 legendary weapons I need to complete the last achievement its going into the drawer so I can go back to playing Fable 2.

I beat it twice once on my own and another time with my brother. I hated tht last fight like you said the game was clearly unfinished. I was all prepared to fight the Darkness with a husband in every town waiting for me to come home victorious... Maybe I should just start the other two over and have fun again. I miss the Colosseum so much.

I liked Fable 3 because it was easier to be a slut and marry everyone.
Just my opinion.
