Hey everyone,
I don't know if we have any guild members in Japan, but I do know that we have at least two guild members in the Philippines, right in the midst of some of the bigger more dangerous waves. I just wanted to let you guys know that we are sending positive energy your way and hoping that you stay safe and make it through this natural disaster unharmed.

Yes, thanks soo much for your concern, captain.. ^_^
It's really been terrible in the news, devastating and sooooo terrifying.. bt I'm positive that all will be fine soon. I know Japan will rise again amidst all these terrible happenings,.. and with support of all, I know all will be well soon. Whole Pacific Rim is on high alert now, in my country and neighboring ones too, but I guess prayers got higher than all fears now.
Let's keep hoping for the best. ^_^

Actually I lied when I said I was living in Brazil sweatdrop I generally don't like people knowing exactly where I am... but anyways, I'm living in Taiwan currently. Nothing serious here thankfully. However I do have a friend in Tokyo, but she said the tsunami didn't impact Tokyo that much, fortunately~ ^^
I'm sure Japan will recover relatively fast smile

I am also on the Pacific rim (here in Washington) but thankfully we barely got anything. Oregon, to the south was hit a little bit harder, but all that happened was a few boats were knocked over and some docks were disconnected that I know of. Nothing very serious, thankfully.
Rather than here in the US western shores, I am much more concerned about the people of Japan and the people who live out on those island nations in the Pacific. I really hope everyone there is safe and unharmed.

Hey, don't worry about it; I totally understand. You have to look out for yourself and the internet isn't always a safe place, so I totally understand not wanting to reveal your location. No hard feelings.
I know Taiwan was also in the path of some of the waves and heard that the waves reached nearly 20cm high when they hit the shores of Taiwan. Is it bad there? I hope everyone is okay.
And yes, I also heard Tokyo didn't get hit as hard as other places in Japan did. That's because they are a bit farther to the south than the areas that were most affected. The most devastated areas from the tsunami are in the northeastern region of Japan near the coast from what I have read...

Also the Fukushima nuclear energy plant is having some serious issues trying to cool its reactor cores. If they can't cool them down, there is a very frightening possibility that the plant could melt down and release about 100 times as much radiation into the environment as Chernobyl did in the Ukraine when it melted down. There has already been some serious explosions that destroyed part of the plant from what I have heard. Its very problematic...
And there are so many people who have died already, many more who are still missing, and even the survivors have lost family members and their houses and also their jobs and everything. It's so sad! I really hope the relief efforts get there as soon as possible to help those people. sad
Also, has anyone heard anything from people who live in Guam or the other island nations of the Pacific?

I hope that would be under control soon, and no more harm and danger happen. Aside from rescuing people who might still need help, I hope comfort and hope be given to the survivors as well. Let's keep hoping for the best.

In Taiwan, it is actually pretty ok, the waves reached 50 cm in some places. The national weather bureau here is still warning the citizens to stay away from the northern shoreline for a while, just in case the chain of earthquakes to come in Japan will cause another tsunami headed our way. But then, most people here are more concerned about the nuclear power plant, if they can't cool the generator down, and the shield melts down, then Taiwan will definitely be impacted with radiation. That's something to really worry about.

I have really sad & crying about everyone over there! The people that lost their families, freinds, shops, homes, farmlands, fishing boats, gradens, pets... Plus the power plant on top of everything else too!

I'm actually from the US, but have a few friends over there from when I studied abroad and other friends who are there teaching English. One friend was based in Tokyo and ended up terminating her program because of the nuclear facilities. It was really unnerving waiting to hear back from friends over there. Luckily everyone I knew was alright, but I know others who lost family and friends. Though I'm not religious, my sympathies/prayer-equivalent are with anyone negatively effected by the earthquake. It's nice to come in here and see that this guild's members also sent/are sending positive vibes their way too. 3nodding
