A grand, creaky Ferris Wheel looms lazily over the dirt-floored fair grounds of Cirque du Gothique.
Lively gales and gusts rattle the bones of the dusty stands and attractions as all of the rides sleep silently, threatening to burst into an array of light and song for any keen enquirer.
Looming pitches and tent-tops stretch out towards the sky, the flapping of tarpaulin flags lash in the air. Of all these tents there are 3 of which which are slightly larger and more commanding; The Ringmaster's quarters, the Big Top and the Animal Shack, all decorated from the outside with the same red, gold, black and purple which themed all of Cirque du Gothique's whimsical wonders, each with a specific, crested flag respectively.
Candy-striped poles lead from all tents and attractions to the Cirque Square, a place filled with luminous candy stalls, baloon&toy shacks and 'try-your-luck' games. In the dead center of the heavily-treaded dirt-square stands a long, rectangular message board, absolutely stuffed with layers of flyers, quests and messages from both the workers and audience alike.
A truly beautiful place to behold, be it deserted or not.
But it is when the gates are open, that the Cirque du Gothique Headquarters really comes to life!
