So our band got a superior rating of 1 with 3 1's for stage performance and a 2 in sight reading which qualifies us for states which is great and all but i really sorta dont want to miss more school considering I already have a 72 in English 2 and we havent even done the midterms for the semester D:
Edit: I put we got a 3 in sight reading which was wrong we got a 2

ah well our school in actually tiny, but our band plays great just like the bigger ones. The day before festival we played our pieces really well. Then the day of well we got two 2's and a 3, and sight reading we got a 2 in. We were really dissapointed in ourselves, but that's because we didn't play our best that day, and we know it.

We've gotten a one at county adjudication the last two years, and a 1 at states for one of those years...but I'm worried about this year. Our low brass doesn't seem to care that they can hardly play their music, and it really pisses me off. Unless something goes horribly wrong, I'm pretty sure it'll be their fault if we don't get a 1, because their music's not even hard. We even dropped down to playing grade 4s for adjudication this year instead of grade 5s...it's ridiculous.
But enough with my complaining. Congratulations! =] I understand that you're worried about your grades, but states is a good experience. You're in maryland, right? (I'm not being really creepy, I promise! I remember seeing it in another thread... xd ) The place where it is has really cool resonance when you play.

I went to states in middle school once but anyway we made it on grade 4 music and yes i'm in Maryland and i know you are not creepin'.
And that sucks our low brass got there act together or at least I did in our small low brass

And that sucks our low brass got there act together or at least I did in our small low brass So, our adjudication was today. Our low brass managed to get less bad...we got straight ones. I was really surprised...so looks like we're going to states, too!
