well i don't know they could be trusted to have one on their own cause it's be just like they described.. eat pizza, drink beer, play nintendo, and oh yeah... here's some diapers. confused
I plan on having a couple's baby shower... for everyone to be together. Since we've been friends for 12 years, we pretty much have all the same friends, and our friends husbands and wives have all been welcomed readily into our circle of friends, so we're all pretty close. Most everyone we know is either engaged or married or married and has a kid already. So I plan on making it an event to celebrate famalies and parenting. I've been to several of these kind of showers and they always turn out a hit! I'm sure I'll probably have an all girls shower too, but I want our main one to include both of us. heart

ah ok good. that article makes it sound like you let them plan it on their own! sweatdrop I'm sure my church friends and female relatives will want to throw a traditional one for me too, but like I said... I think our "main" shower is going to be a big get together with all of our friends as couples. Out of most of our friends (mostly from high school and college) we'll be the first to have a baby so its probably gonna be more like "one last hoo-ha" before we become parents. We might have a BBQ or something like that... I dunno.

*laughs* SCREW TRADITION!!! twisted I could've cared less what anyone thought, my husband came to both my baby showers!!! Granted things were a bit different with us in the first place, our baby was a surprise so we had the showers after she was born. I just didnt want to get a whole bunch of yellow and green razz But we had the family one at our house and I wasnt about to kick him out for it and the second one was with friends and we are alot like amandaspace7. We've been together for 10 years this year (married for 6) and we have all the same friends that have all blended together as married friends and whatnot so it was just a big get-together with everyone at the second shower. xd Then again Im stubborn and wouldnt have submitted to doing the showers without him. I didnt make the baby alone!! rofl
