::Yasogami High Kendo Club::
Once an average Kendo Club that didn't stand out, but was still more treasured then the Soccer or Basketball Clubs, the Kendo Club is now the single most outstanding club in all of Yasogami High. For two years this seemingly small town has held supreme dominance over the sport of Kendo and the Ace of the club, Kano Fujisake, who's skills have drawn many new members to the club.
Although the club use to not take itself seriously, likely leading to it's mediocre standing, the rise of star Kano Fujisake and the club's overall standing to one of the best in the nation has caused it take on a serious air instead. While club members sometimes take days off or avoid practice, the policy is for members to come regularly, and it's up to the students to find a careful balance between the intimidating members of the club who take the sport very seriously, and those who only want to enjoy the sport for the fun it provides. The winning atmosphere can cause some contention, but it also provides a great place to improve one's skills, and more than a few students have joined hoping to be the next big name in Japan.
In the Yasogami Kendo Club you will:
- Compete in at least one major tournament in the year, or more, in order to represent the school on a nation wide level.
- Practice Kendo in order to master the art of practice fencing, and learn techniques that help to improve one's skills in the sport.
- Attend out-of-prefecture competitions, in order to help students learn about other places in Japan, and to trade knowledge of the sport and encourage it's evolution. (Comes with hotel stays)
- Meet on days when called into the club, hang out, enjoy the company of fellow club-mates.
- Gather to compete against one another, building the hierarchy within the club, and to further position the club above such mediocre disciplines as the Volleyball and Basketball Clubs.
