Overview

A clan of people living mainly within Konoha that has learned to use and developed a way to manipulate their shadows for battle. A clan with people who's characteristics usually match that of their shadows. They are usually very moody, dark bunch of people, and often at times, extremely lazy, however don't let such information fool you. When they work hard and concentrate they are deadly, like most normal shinobi. The Nara clan, well, some members are born with genius intelligence. Being master tacticians and planners in tough situations, and being excellent analysts. It has been rumored that Nara clan members have defeated opponents in battle with nothing more then their minds. Some Nara members have even been so cunning that they have literally talked people into killing themselves. This, is however not true of all clan members, some members having just as difficult learning problems as a normal person, it simply varies to each shinobi.

The clan, specifically has the ability to manipulate their shadows to capture their opponents and trap them. They have also been rumored to have technique that follow that in the use to choke people and even further uses. The clan does not really discriminate, yet each and every member is different. They have no marriage restrictions, seeing as bloodline does not matter to them, so long as their teachings are passed down. It has however been said, that males of the Nara aren't exactly fans of the way women act. Not meaning that they don;t like them, they would just rather hang out with a friend and play chess then listen to the bickering of a women.

History

The History of the Nara clan starts a long time ago in a tale of young boy, who lived in a small village, shadowed by a mountain. This boy had a family and grew up in a village with that family for the most part of his life like most normal people would. His village however, was constantly shadowed with war and violence of the neighboring great nations of the world. War was never far from his doorstep, but the village was confident that they would never see such war because of their god, the shadow dragon who they prayed to every night to protect them. The dragon lived high in the mountains that over shadowed the entire village. They were terribly wrong.

On a cold summer night, the village was taken over and pillaged by a group of shinobi. They raided the village for supplies and the like. Praying to their god for help of some kind, the boy spoken of earlier, took it a step farther. He traveled secretly up to the top of the mountain by himself, in search of the legendary dragon. He searched for days, and days, until a week at least had passed by. He had finally found a cave. In this cave, the brave young boy ventured forth in search of the dragon, but found only a shadow. The shadow, was in the shape of a dragon. Pleading for his village, the Boy spoke forth to the shadow dragon in seek of power, power to save his village. The Dragon, out of either feeling guilty for ignoring the villagers prayers, or for pity, granted him one wish.

His wish had already been pleaded to the dragon, and such it was granted. The dragon, was said to fuse with the shadow of the young boy, granting him the ability to save his village via through his shadow, and become a hero. Running down the mountain side as fast as his little feet could move him, the little boy sprinted forth until his village at the mountains bottom slowly came into sight. As he entered the village that was being pillaged constantly for their goods, the dragon raged forth from the shadow and began freeing the villagers and slaying the shinobi who began pillaging the village. The fight between the strongest of the shinobi and the dragon shadow was rumored to last for three whole days before it was decided that there was no true victor.

The fight had lasted so long in fact, that the dragon became infused with the boys shadow permanently! His desire and pride to fight for the village and the boy had cause him to loose his tract on time and forgotten that he only had limited time. The Dragon slowly and slowly seeped into the boys shadow until they became one. All the knowledge of the dragon was granted to the boy, as well as the ability to control his shadow. However, without the knowledge to mold chakra, he was rendered helpless. Being helpless without the dragons help once more, the Shinobi who battled the young boys shadow offered as a token of peace to bring all of his people back to their village, and they would be taught how to mold chakra and spread the shadow dragons power.

The villagers that had attacked the shadow boys home were from that of Konoha. They brung him and his family and other relatives in his village that was pillaged back to Konoha, and they were given a place to stay, a new home as an apology for what they had done, as well as teaching them how to use chakra. Through this, and lots of training, the young boy was able to grow and learn to further manipulate the shadow dragon and develop his own personal jutsu, the Kagemane. Through this technique, when it connects to someone else shadow, they are merged and their movements are linked and in sync with one another. The young boy has since perfected the art of the shadow dragon and passed his teachings on to all of his children and friends and family, and some family has extended and moved on past Konoha, into other villages passing on their teachings of the Kagemane and the story of the shadow dragon.

Clan Jutsus

* Kagemane no Jutsu, (Shadow Imitation Technique)
Rank: "C", "B", "A" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: The signature move of the Nara family, this jutsu allows the user to control their own shadow and merge it with their opponent's shadow, combining them. This links the movements of the user with the target; the target is subsequently forced to make any movement the user makes. It is an extremely versatile technique, as the user can contract and change the shape of their shadow, potentially grabbing multiple targets at once. The degree to which the user's shadow can be stretched is limited by its total surface area.
Special: "Hanseals"
Drawback: Must Be Learned Multiple times in order to truly achieve something grand. Must hold Rat hand seal until the technique connects with the targets shadow.
Description: Using the shadows of other objects, the user can extend their shadow beyond its normal range. The amount of time for which an opponent can be held is limited by the user's chakra, since the user must constantly maintain the jutsu. The jutsu is also more difficult to maintain at greater ranges or for multiple opponents, since the user's shadow must be stretched constantly. At closer ranges, it requires considerably less effort on the user's part. Additionally, the target can force their way free with enough effort, though the amount of effort required to do so is considerable. There are two tables or understandings for this technique that consists of the Difficulty class of the User as well as the Opponent, and as to how far the user is capable of using this technique. When first learned the user is only capable of using this technique at a distance of Ten meters. Each higher Rank archived, the user is capable of extending the shadow another five meters. The user must first however, learn each rank a certain amount of times before then next rank is obtainable. The C rank version must be learned five times total. At which point the ditance is upgraded to "B" Rank training and now extends ten meters each time trained. This version must be learned 3 times total. The "A" Rank version, extends the range to Seventy meters, and every additional "A" Rank training extends it another ten meters. This technique caps out at 100 meters. The user is capable of making their shadow split and by doing so takes up the distance of the total form of the original technique. This means that if a user has this technique to where they can use thirty meters and wishes to make this technique split to three shadows the maximum distance is ten meters per shadow.

Difficulty on Escaping: Escaping the Kagemane is a tricky art for some, easier for others. Depending on your Stamina and Difficulty class depends on how well the opponent can escape the Kagemane. The Kagemane is held for a Certain time frame depending on Rank of the technique learned. "C" Rank can be held for 18 seconds before it breaks no matter what. "B" Rank 36 seconds, "A" Rank 54 Seconds. For every difficulty class the user is above the opponent, add another five seconds. If the opponent for every difficulty class above th user, subtract five seconds. If the Opponent captured is a Taimaster, subtract 15 seconds additionally. If the opponent is a Tai specialist, subtract 5 additional seconds. If the opponent is a Taijutsu No specialist, leave it as is. After doing the math, the amount of turns held will be apparent.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique

* Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu, (Shadow Neck Bind Technique)
Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu

Additionally, it can be used to bind the limbs of exceptionally strong targets who can move, even while bound by the Shadow Imitation.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique, Must have knowledge of the Shadow Imitation Technique "C" Rank

* Kageyose no Jutsu, (Shadow Summoning Technique)
Rank: "A" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: -----
Special: "Hanseals"
Drawback: Once the technique is activated, the user must control the tendrils with motions of their hands, while the Kagemane is still active the entire time. Thus, if the person caught within it controls a puppet, they could accidentally activated it move.
Description: After capturing a target with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the user forms a simply string of hand seals. The user then, summons shadowy tendrils from their opponent's shadow, controlling them in the same manner as Shadow Sewing, but from the opponent's body instead of the user's. This could be used to stab the opponent, remove things from the person without having to risk removing it from yourself, (As the Kagemane makes the user and captive act in sync) or block projectiles. The Tendrils are no stronger then that of skin, and thus are pierced and such very easily, and don;t hold that well, however get the job done.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique, Must know Shadow Choke Neck Bind, Must have knowledge of the Shadow Imitation Technique "A" Rank.

* Kage Nui, (Shadow Sewing)
Rank: "A" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: ----
Special: "Hanseals"
Drawback: Cannot move while using this technique, be be stationary, can only use the Kagemane while using this technique.
Description: Forming hand seals, The user of this jutsu can extend their shadow and create multiple tangible tendrils for various purposes. Such purposes can include using them as stabbing weapons, rope for binding an opponent. The user extends their shadow either up their own body with Kagemane, or up their opponents body once caught in Kagemane. Then, forming some handseals, 5 shadow like tendrils are formed that can be used to trie down appendages, stabbing weapons, and rope like wire. The tendrils are not very strong at all, in fact, they can barely rip through skin, but they can if concentrated hard enough on the technique. It must also be used simultaneously with Shadow Imitation Technique, so it is possible to split the shadow and use both jutsus at the same time. Each time learned, the user can create two more tendrils.

Drawback: Time Limit (See Below.) If you move from the shadow you stand in, the opponent is freed as the shadows are no longer in sync with the tags and knifes.
Description: Bu channeling chakra into any type of secondary weapon or projectile, as well as performing hand seals and placing special paper seals on the weapons, the user can use this technique to freeze and opponents movements with Kagemane. Depending on what rank the user knows the Kagemane depends on how long this technique can be used for. C ranked is 18 seconds. B ranked Kagemane is 30 seconds, A ranked Kagemane is 54 seconds. With the opponent pinned, the user can then use his regular Shadow Imitation Technique to control them at his leisure. This technique you must have more then one sharp object such as a knife, senbon needle or other. The object must have a seal tag upon it filled with chakra as the user has one stabbed against his own shadow, and the other must be stabbed against the opponent's shadow. When first learned the user is only capable of trapping one opponent with one senbon or knife. Each time learned the user is capable of trapping one more opponent with the same drawbacks and holding as that of the Shadow Imitation Technique. Meaning, that you would need two knives on your own shadow to trap two other peoples. You cannot control their movements while using this jutsu, it only immobilizes, and freeze them in place.
Limit: Nara Clan Technique, Must have knowledge of the Shadow Imitation Technique "B" Rank

* Shadow Strike
Rank: D Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Holding a handseal, the user's shadow attacks the shadow of the opponent with kicks and punches. If the shadow hits the opponent's it will seem to strike just as if the Nara member had punched them directly.
Special: "Hanseals"
Drawback: Cannot move while using jutsu, range only as long as shadow can stretch (5-10 meters). Also, must hit the targets shadow, and note that it only feels like a punch.
Description: Forming the dragon handsign, the Nara member's shadow strikes out at the opponent with fists and feet striking out at their shadow. Uses the Kagemane Distance and strength formulas. Requires the user to have the same rank of this technique as the opponent's Difficulty Class in order to force them to move. The user's arrow must completely envelop the opponent shadow in order for the opponent to be forced to move. The Bekutaya cannot bend, meaning all turns must be done with 90 degree angles.
Description: Bekutaya, or the Vector Arrow, is a powerful Nara Clan Ninpou. Utilizing their shadow, the user will find themselves capable of extending it outwards in the shape of an arrow. The arrow will move upon the ground, capable of being directed like the Kagemane no Jutsu, with the exception of the user being capable of only making one Bekutaya at a time. The arrow will attempt to ride on the ground and attacks the opponent's shadow. If the arrow pierces and envelopes the opponent's shadow, the opponent will then be forced to be drug along with the arrow, no matter how the user manipulates the direction of the arrow. The opponent, while within the Bekutaya, is incapable of performing Taijutsu, but may still counter attack with Nin or Genjutsu. If the opponent is of a higher Difficulty Class than the user's rank of Bekutaya, then the opponent is capable of fighting against the flow of the arrow, but will suffer from a reduction of 10% movements per turn while within the arrow.

Drawback: Splitting the user's shadow can result in thinner arrows. The user is still limited by their shadow manipulation distance.
Description: A supplemental training that is used in addition to the Bekutaya no Jutsu. Each time this ability is learned, the user is capable of creating one additional Bekutaya from the user's shadow. This ability may be learned up to nineteen times, allowing the user the ability to create up to twenty Bekutaya from the user's shadow. All the rules of Kagemane and Bekutaya still apply.
Limit: Must know Ninpou: Bekutaya no Jutsu.

o Bekutaya Ryoku (Vector Arrow Power)
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S" Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu, Supplementary
Effect: Allows thin arrows to capture the opponent's shadow in the same manner as completely enveloping the opponent's shadow.
Special: ---
Drawback: The user must have the corresponding rank of Bekutaya no Jutsu in order to learn this.
Description: This technique allows the user greater freedom in the capturing of the opponent within the Bekutaya techniques. Without this ability, the opponent's shadow must be completely enveloped before they are forced to move. With this technique learned, the user is capable of catching the opponent with lesser portions of the shadow making contact with the Bekutaya.
D Rank- Requires 90% of the shadow to be enveloped.
C Rank- Requires 70% of the shadow to be enveloped.
B Rank- Requires 50% of the shadow to be enveloped.
A Rank- Requires 30% of the shadow to be enveloped.
S Rank- Requires 10% of the shadow to be enveloped.
Limit: Must have the corresponding level of Bekutaya no Jutsu in order to learn.

Special: From holding the Snake, perform "Bird", and then go back to holding Snake.
Drawback: In order for the capturing to be successful, the user must know the Bekutaya of one rank higher than the opponent's Difficulty Class. Still takes away from the user's shadow distance.
Description: Once the Bekutaya has been learned to be capable of splitting into the creation of additional arrows, the user will then be capable of causing a portion of the Bekutaya to break off and remain stationary upon the ground. It will remain there for three turns, plus one turn for every rank of Bekutaya that has been learned above "D" Rank. If the opponent's shadow moves over the Bekutaya, they will be thrown in the direction of the arrow's pointing, using the rank of the user's Bekutaya no Jutsu as a basis for how powerful the throw is, with the "D" Rank being a tiny push while the "S" Rank being capable of throwing up to fifty meters.
Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu. Must have Bekutaya Satsu.

o Bekutaya Ryuuki (Vector Arrow Rising)
Rank: "B" Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu, Supplementary
Effect: Allows the user to rise the Bekutaya off the ground a maximum of ten meters.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: After much effort, the user will find that they are suddenly capable of raising the Bekutaya off of the ground and into the arrow. This can be used in order to make it easier to catch an opponent with the Bekutaya, or can be used in conjunction with Bekutaya Togu in order to turn the user's shadow into a potentially deadly weapon.
Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu of at least "B" Rank.

o Bekutaya Togu (Vector Arrow Sharpen)
Rank: "B" Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user to 'sharpen' their Bekutaya no Jutsu, turning it into a weapon capable of causing physical harm to the opponent.
Special: While holding the Snake, "Tiger" is performed, then Snake is moved back into being held.
Drawback: The user must hold the Snake handseal in order to continue to get the hardened effects. Drains a small amount of additional chakra for every turn that the Bekutaya remain sharpened.
Description: A powerful technique that pushes Shadow Manipulation to its highest peak, to the point where the shadow becomes capable of physically injuring a living creature. Saturating the Bekutaya with chakra, the Bekutaya hardens and sharpens itself into a high-speed cutting utensil, which can be used to attack and deal damage to individuals. The technique costs the user a portion of chakra in order to cause the initial hardening, and then an additional, although small, amount of chakra per turn in order to keep the hardened state of the shadow.
Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu of at least "B" rank.

o Bekutaya Seal-less Control
Rank: "A" Rank
Skill: Supplementary
Effect: Allows the user to control the Bekutaya without the holding of the Snake handseal.
Special: ---
Drawback: The user must still direct the shadows with their hands. Cannot perform any additional Ninjutsu or Genjutsu while the user is controlling the arrows.
Description: Once true mastery of the Bekutaya is achieved, the user will find themselves capable of manipulating the Vector Arrows without being forced to continuously hold the Snake handseal. This allows them to engage within Taijutsu combat, but while they are controlling the arrows, they are incapable of performing any additional Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.
Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu of at least "A" Rank.

o Bekutaya Shishou (Vector Arrow Mastery)
Rank: "S" Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu, Supplementary
Effect: Allows the user to control Bekutaya that have been split away from the user's shadow.
Special: ---
Drawback: Split arrows move at about 3/4 of the speed of the user's Shadow manipulation, making them slower than Bekutaya that are still connected to the user's shadow and thus more capable of dodging.
Description: A supplementary technique that allows the user the ability to manipulate Bekutaya that have been split and separated from the user's main shadow. The split shadows, which were meant to be immobile, move at a slower pace than the user's regular Bekutaya no Jutsu, and as such are more easily dodged. This ability is used primarily to surprise an opponent, who would believe that the Bekutaya that have been split are permanently stationary.
Limit: Requires "A" Rank Bekutaya no Jutsu, "A" Rank Bekutaya Ryoku, Bekutaya Nintai, and Bekutaya Seal-less Control.

* Kage Manipurye (Shadow Manipulation)
Rank: "C", "B", "A"
Skill: Passive, Mastery
Effect: Allows the user to control their shadows with a greater finesse.
Special: Requires a certain amount of TP within Nara Clan Jutsu.
Drawback: ---
Description: As the Nara Clan member dedicates time and effort into learning and using the Shadow techniques of the clan, the user gains a much greater understanding and finesse in the art of controlling their shadows. Such is the case that their speed, strength, and the ability to stretch their shadow out even further becomes available to the user. The more techniques of the Nara Clan that the user possesses, the higher this capability will rise.
"C" Rank- When this rank of the technique is obtained, the user's holding capability with Kagemane increases by 30%, meaning that the amount of time before the opponent is capable of breaking out increases by 30%. The speed of the shadow is increased marginally, so that it is still seen and capable of easily being dodged. Increases the distance that the user is capable of extending their shadow out by 5 meters for every rank of Difficulty Class that the user has obtained, starting from "D" Rank.
"B" Rank- When this rank of the technique is obtained, the user's holding capability with Kagemane increases by 40%, meaning that the amount of time before the opponent is capable of breaking out increases by 40%. The speed of the shadow is increased noticeably, so that it is still seen but moves at speeds that might rival a Taijutsu Specialist of the same difficulty class as the user. Increases the distance that the user is capable of extending their shadow out by 10 meters for every rank of Difficulty Class that the user has obtained, starting from "D" Rank.
"A" Rank- When this rank of the technique is obtained, the user's holding capability with Kagemane increases by 50%, meaning that the amount of time before the opponent is capable of breaking out increases by 50%. The speed of the shadow is increased dramatically, so that it is difficult to see as it darts forward to capture the opponent. The speed becomes fast enough that is is said to be capable of rivaling the speed of a Taijutsu Master of the same difficulty Class as the user. Increases the distance that the user is capable of extending their shadow out by 20 meters for every rank of Difficulty Class that the user has obtained, starting from "D" Rank.

* Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers)
Rank: "C"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: User creates two towers on either side of the opponent. Depending on the user's knowledge of Rock Creation depicts the actual size of the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) technique.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Depending on the user's knowledge of Rock creation depends on the user's capabilities of using this technique.
Description: After performing the handseals the user creates two large towers that form up on both sides of the opponent(s). Depending on the knowledge of the Rock Creation technique depends on the user's capabilities in this technique. An example would be that if the user knows Rock Creation "C" Rank, then the user might create two towers the size of five meters high, one meter wide and twenty meters in length. If the user knows "B" Rock Creation, the technique increases by five meters wide and high. The technique increases five meters each rank the user knows Rock Creation. This technique is a prerequisite in many techniques. If the user wishes to perform another technique with this they may such as shooting out spikes, create a Rock Slide. The user however must know the corresponding technique, this is just a simple prerequisite for more powerful techniques. When the user first performs this technique, the twin towers cast two large shadows from within the inner part of the Towers.
Limit: Must know Rock Creation, depending on the knowledge of Rock creation depends on the size the Towers may be.

o Irikuchikan (Gates in Between)
Rank: "D"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: A simple technique that attaches to the shadows found within the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) technique so then more stronger techniques may be used.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: User is incapable of moving at this time unless they detach their shadow from the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) shadow.
Description: User quickly performs the handseals needed, as the users own shadow shoots off into two directions. The Shadows launch into the inner shadows of Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) as the user's shadow grows with the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) shadows. With this the user is capable of utilizing the shadows found within Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) to their own advantage.
Limit: Must be in Nara Clan, Must know Rock Creation "A" Rank, Must know Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers), Must know Kagemane no Jutsu, (Shadow Imitation Technique)

o Irikuchi Bushi (Gated Warrior)
Rank: "B"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: User users the shadows found within the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) and creates an enormous sized Guardian to stand in the way of the user and the opponent. The Shadow Guardian is used for combat, to protect the user from attacks.
Special: "Handseals" Hold Ram Handseal
Drawback: ---
Description: By performing the handseals needed they create a massive Guardian the size of 4 meters in height and over two meters wide. The user must keep the handseal of the Ram on. The Guardian when rises and forms by the two shadows comes forth looking like a Shogan warrior. One Shadow when together shows that the Guardian can have either a massive Naginata or perhaps a Large Sword depending on the user's discretion. The Guardian may move like a normal warrior and has the basic movements of a TaiJutsu Specialist depending on the user's own class strength. The Warrior may be used as a defensive warrior to protect the user, or perhaps even an offensive warrior to attack the opponents within the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers). The warrior may only attack if the user is capable of keeping the shadows around. If the user is able to perform this technique with a large form of Shadows such as between buildings within a cave, or any other large portioned shadows.
Limit: Must be in Nara Clan, Must know Irikuchikan (Gates in Between)

o Jajjimento Kage (Judgment of Shadows)
Rank: "B"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: This technique allows the user to attack using their shadows while the opponent or opponents are trapped within the Tsuin Utena (Twin Towers) technique.
Special: "Handseals" Hold Dog Handseal
Drawback: ---
Description: This technique only works when the opponent is between two parallel large forms of shadows like between two buildings. When the user performs this technique, the user holds the Handseal after performing a number of Handseals. The large shadows from both ends would begin its attack. Along the bottom of the opponent, a large Shadow would slam up into the opponent launching him into the air. As the opponent would be launched into the air, the shadows would then begin to slam into him/her sending the opponent higher and higher into the sky. The shadows would hit the user in a flat form, as the shadows would push up hitting from one side to the other simultaneously in a couple of movements. As the user is suddenly launched into the air, the user then sends one final shadow to slam the opponent down into the ground with such strength leaving a small crater into the ground.
Limit: Must be in Nara Clan, Must know Irikuchikan (Gates in Between), Must know Kageyose no Jutsu, (Shadow Summoning Technique)
